Outdoor views and amenities are also excellent with a nice paddle boat, paddle boards and kayaks. There are lots of outdoor chairs, a picnic table, grill, and fire pit. The owner is right next door and available if you need anything. We would definitely recommend this wonderful resort!

We drove cross country from California with the goal of finding some peace, quiet and hopefully some distance from all the Covid madness, fortunately and rather by happenstance, we came across Clear View! From the very beginning John, the owner, was extremely attentive and an absolute pleasure to work with. John and his wife Trudy went above and beyond to make my family and I feel welcome, comfortable and safe in their gem of a resort. In our time there, we stayed in two separate cabins. The level of attention and detail that goes into the cleaning and resetting of the cabins is above anything my wife and I have ever seen, no detail was missed. By the way, every single cabin has been very recently remodeled down to the studs. The end result being modern, clean and very comfortable. The kitchen cabins are fully stocked with many thoughtful details which even a gourmet cook would appreciate. In the living rooms, our cabins had large screen TV's and high speed WiFi. The internet speed allowed my wife and I as well as our kids to conduct multiple Zoom meetings simultaneously with no issues. The bedrooms were cozy, and the beds outstanding in comfort. Outside of the cabins we enjoyed the amenities available at the resort. They included stand up paddle boards, paddle boat, bikes, a HUGE rope swing and a small yet clean and super kid friendly sandy beach. I could go on and on about the resort, but will end by saying that we are already planning on spending more time at the resort next summer and look forward to seeing our super hosts John & Trudy once again.

And her stay got extended for another 2 weeks. Entire booking was done by an agent through the employer. This morning she went to reactivate the keys for the next 2 weeks. The lady at the front desk was very rude & unprofessional towards my wife and mentioned that my wife was not supposed to have complimentary breakfast. It was their fault because it was given to her when she checked in. Angie's behavior was as if my wife intentionally went for this lavish breakfast (believe me it's not). It was not her fault. It was their fault. Instead of apologizing for the mistake she gave attitude towards my wife. This is not acceptable. People in Bemidji are extremely nice towards foreigners. But this incident just threw us off. Most of the staff were very nice towards my wife. Next guest please make sure to check the name tag of this unprofessional employee at this hotel. If she doesn't know how to handle customers in a polite professional way, then she should find another profession which doesn't include customer service. Typical Karen attitude on a weekend.

Service was efficient, though not particularly warm or friendly -- but everything we needed was taken care of without issue. Breakfast was a great bonus -- complimentary and tasty! I especially loved making my own mini waffles -- perfectly crispy, sweet, and totally satisfying. We also made use of the pool and hot tub area, which was a highlight. It was a bit chaotic when we stopped by just before 10pm, but after the switch to adults-only hours (10pm-midnight), it was calm and relaxing -- we had the whole space to ourselves! My only wish is that they'd provide full-sized pool towels instead of the tiny hand towel-sized ones. Overall, a clean, comfy, and convenient place to stay -- great value and a great time! Would absolutely stay here again. Our hotel stay suited us perfectly for a weekend getaway with friends! While I can honestly say that I did not expect a place like Bemidji to be on a list of "must see"…read moreplaces to go in the US, here we are. I devote a huge amount of that to our awesome hotel! To begin with the staff was amazing, they were so efficient and kind. The breakfast spread was amazing, also coffee and tea around the clock (excellent cup of coffee might I add, not that weak stuff). Beyond that the amenities were everything we wanted and didn't know we'd be getting. Biking around the lake at sunset, watching the sun go down from the hot tub, and just an overall sense of ease relaxing in front of the fireplace. The king room was so comfortable and quiet, and the bedding was so soft! If you find yourself in this corner of the world check this place out.

Our room was on the smaller side; but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. When we checked in they unfortunately only had queen beds left; so it wasn't as comfortable as sleeping in the king beds we're used to. But it was fine. The bigger nuisance was the air conditioning in our room. It very noisy and I woke up several times throughout the night because of it. It also had trouble keeping the room a comfortable temperature. It was almost too cold with it turned on low. But it was too warm without it... It was frustrating. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was fine. Nothing special. They offered the typical breakfast options like cold cereal, bacon and eggs, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, and other items along with a variety of drinks. The warm breakfast options didn't look good to me; so I just had cold cereal. The front desk staff was very friendly when we checked in. She was personable and helpful; despite it being almost 10pm. She asked why we were in town, asked our trip, and explained the hotel accommodations very well. Sadly, I would not recommend this hotel until they remodel it. It just isn't very nice. Stay someplace else.

If this gentleman sets the standards, as G S Manager, then I better understand the attitude of the remainder of the staff. I am embarrassed to be here tonight but once reservations are made, it is difficult to change. We are Spire members, that means little or nothing, except to indicate that we see our share of properties. At check in, as my response to Mr. Luhmann's god awful method of taking care of customers, I thought I would embarrass him by mimicry. Didn't work. Customers are such an interruption to the work of a manager who has little or nothing to do. We had our room and I told Mr. Luhmann that I don't like a nosey floors. He responded that there is a kids hockey team at the property tonight and that if the noise was too loud, call the front desk and they would move us. Not good enough. In the middle of the night and not sleeping too well because of noise, I'm not one to be real friendly when it comes to having to change rooms. He changed our room and put us on 1st floor. We went out and purchased a window fan to make white noise.
