We stayed in one of the lake house's directly in front of the lake and it is so peaceful listing to the waves clash. The big bed is super comfortable. I personally have no issues with this place at all! Their breakfast options are a little small, but yummy! by far the best cinnamon rolls from a hotel for sure. Warm, soft and the cream cheese glaze is amazing! Their food prices are a bit... ridiculous, almost $50 for two people, but the food is pretty decent.

As such it's not ideally suited as a guest room, but it was all they had when we reserved. The main room is enormous, with tables and chairs for 20 diners, upholstered furniture, large fireplace and windows overlooking the gathering area and A-frame, and the lake. Not exactly intimate, but anything but cramped. Large and modern kitchen (plates, bowls and mugs for dozens of people, flatware for less than half that). Gas grill worked great, good char on our steaks. Bedroom layout was haphazard, again being a repurposed common area, but more than enough room for the 7 of us. 2 showers (hot water is metered, our shower was lukewarm), huge washer and dryer. Not a lot of privacy as the main windows faced the grassy gathering area but they have privacy glass, and ppl minded their own business. Hate to say it but their pizza may be the worst I've ever had, including take-and-bake, and most frozen. Edible, but not by a lot. Burnt on one half, and mistakenly half cheese only. Sausage and pepperoni on the other half almost non existent. Bring your own food or drive to town (Luekens grocery in Bemidji was outstanding). Staff were all very nice and accommodating. Very clean, up kept, many utensils in the cabinets and more! I can't say enough about how welcoming the Putnam's are. (New Owners) They are there when you have a question, will help you with what you need and are very accommodating. We rented a pontoon and got to explore the lake and get some fishing in. The lake itself is great. Pretty quiet, big and great for swimming. I will recommend this place to all of my family and friends! We hope to be back next summer and enjoy Kohl's resort for even longer.

And her stay got extended for another 2 weeks. Entire booking was done by an agent through the employer. This morning she went to reactivate the keys for the next 2 weeks. The lady at the front desk was very rude & unprofessional towards my wife and mentioned that my wife was not supposed to have complimentary breakfast. It was their fault because it was given to her when she checked in. Angie's behavior was as if my wife intentionally went for this lavish breakfast (believe me it's not). It was not her fault. It was their fault. Instead of apologizing for the mistake she gave attitude towards my wife. This is not acceptable. People in Bemidji are extremely nice towards foreigners. But this incident just threw us off. Most of the staff were very nice towards my wife. Next guest please make sure to check the name tag of this unprofessional employee at this hotel. If she doesn't know how to handle customers in a polite professional way, then she should find another profession which doesn't include customer service. Typical Karen attitude on a weekend.

Plenty of room for a large family or family reunion. Everything is current. They keep up on maintenance so everything is in tip top shape! They truly have something for everyone! Fishing and beaches for the kids with inflatables to play for hours! They have kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. There is also coin op laundry machines so you don't have to overpack. Bait for sale, both pontoon and fishing boats for rent. Very nice gift shop with some odds and end groceries available. My family of 10 had an absolute blast and can't wait to come back next year.

Been going for a few years with the In Laws and they love it here (their family have been going for…read moredecades). Love that you can rent a cabin or RV park. The property is right on the lake with water toys available to play with (including kayaks), and docks for you to park your boat (or to rent one of theirs). There's also a heated pool, and a lodge with free wifi. The best part is that the resort is close to town so you can easily go and grab anything you forget. Also Patty and Clint are so friendly, and we love their dogs too.

Two refrigerators nice kitchen, two bathrooms, two picnic tables on the deck, a Weber grill, washer and dryer, 5 bedrooms with multiple bed options from King to queen to a room with dbl twins. We cooked we ate and we socialized...we also caught some fish!!! The heated pool was a short walk (steps from our cabin). The boat dock was a short walk as well.
