There were several women in the bathroom, but they were incredibly sweet about me having brought a male careperson in. No one objected and you can't imagine what a relief that is to me every time that happens. The accessible stall was a tight squeeze but I was able to fit my entire wheelchair inside and shut the door. Love's is a truckstop and I was fascinated when they paged people to let them know that their showers were ready. Intrigued, I looked it up and it seems that the showers ARE accessible. Now I really want to see one. I have been on roadtrips before where I couldn't access a shower. That really put a damper on my mental health after a couple days. It's nice to know that I don't have to suffer, if there's a Love's around.

The coffee ended up costing almost as much as Starbucks (I am not a fan nor supporter of Starbucks or their acid rinsed coffee). When it came out, the taste was great, but the coffee was just hot enough to sustain for about 6 minutes before being a room temp drink. I asked if someone could heat it up and was told that they aren't allowed to use the microwave...the very nice cashier insisted he would just make another, but that made no sense, considering the outcome would be the same and we still couldn't heat it up. I supposed they could have re-steamed it to warm it up, but there was probably an huge one issue with that too. So, no more fancy coffees from Sheetz for me, but I would still use their self-service machines. They had plenty of coffee, creams/milks, and sweeteners. Sheetz: If you offer specialty coffees and charge almost as high as a coffee shop, definitely provide the service and options that go along with that experience. :)

Unfortunately, when we got inside the cook said they don't have pizza anymore. They may be bringing it back soon, but none is available now. So, we got potato wedges, chicken livers, and chicken gizzards. The livers and wedges were fresh, so they were yummy. The gizzards, on the other hand, were soggy and cold. We did not enjoy them at all, but we had to get back on the road, so we didn't take them back. I can honestly say that if I'm in the area & craving livers, I would go back for sure.

All the employees do a great job greeting every customer that walks through the door. They keep the place clean and they pay attention to detail. Usually the staff is an afterthought when visiting a convenience store unless you have a bad experience. This place was different though. The restrooms were clean and the shelves were stocked. Also, don't sleep on Sheetz made to order sandwiches.......no, you won't compare it to the best delis around....but for "gas station" food, you're going to be pleasantly surprised. The parking lot and gas fueling area is nicely lit in the evening and the prices are on par with all the other gas and sips. For what it is, I feel it's deserving of 4.5 stars.

Not only is it located practically on the UNC Campus in University Square adjacent to Granville Towers (which has its own security), but it's only a few doors down from a satellite office of the Chapel Hill Police Department. The staff is nice as well, even late into the night. If the party's gone dry, you need a late night sugar fix, or are just in search of this week's Vogue, Ken's will likely have it. And, more importantly, as safety has recently become an issue in Chapel Hill Ken's might be a wise choice.

Inside you've got every snack, sundry, drink and treat you could possibly want right down to the crock pot of boiled peanuts. Easy on/off to the highway/road of my choosing? Can't complain on this one. The other Yelp review mentions this place being two miles from 95 which couldn't be farther from the truth. The distance to 95 is more like two tenths of a mile. Super close and super easy. Human intervention needed? No, but the bathrooms inside could use some attention as they were hella filthy but when it's 2am and you gotta go, whatever. Three stars achieved but barely.
