For those driving northwards to Louisville, Kentucky (or beyond), I suggest stopping here for gas. Prices are typically at least twenty cents cheaper when compared to easy jumping off points of the I-65 North stretch. I have witnessed a price difference of as much as sixty cents when compared to a downtown Louisville gas station, at one point. For those driving to other regions of Kentucky (or beyond), Elizabethtown may be the last place to take advantage of a decent gas station for quite some time. I like Love's Travel Stop because it seats on a corner of highway that meets the Western Kentucky Parkway and I-65 North Interstate. This allow for a quick and easy transition from interstate driving to meeting my travel needs. The facility is well organized and carries an abundance of products that are not carried at competitors. Auto gear, clothing, and entertainment items sit alongside beloved road trip snacks and beverages. Restrooms are numerous and have always been clean & tidy when I have visited. Since Love's always provides exactly what I need, I say five stars for this location!

I had no problem getting a cup, adding a few ice cubes, a few creamers and then filling it to the top with the good stuff. If you're patient, you can get it ground and brewed to order though the same coffee is in an urn too. Restrooms were clean, coffee was good, lots of snacks available and plenty of cold drinks. This Love's has a Chester's Chicken and a Subway if either of those appeal to you. Parking is easy even if towing with designated spaces for longer vehicles. Called several repair shops who all stated 2-3 week waits. Finally found Modock's . Talked with George about our issue. He got the parts we needed and sent Bert out the next day to fix the truck. George arrived as the repairs were finishing and we tried the engine, found the fan hub was locked. George researched the part and got one coming for the next day. The owner arrived looked at the truck and said he couldn't fix it and that we had to tow it to his shop in Elizabethtown, KY. We arrived and in the morning a mechanic look at the damage and said he'd have it done the next day. That was Friday. We went back to check on progress and we were told that they couldn't fix it because they were missing a part. mind you when we arrived and they gave us the quote and told us they had everything. They then said they would have it repaired my Saturday. We went back Saturday at 8am and no one was there. Our trailer reefer was parked at the shop as well it was loaded and we had to keep it running. We called many times asking them to at lest gives us access to the tractor so we could syphon the gas from tractor to the trailer. The refused us access my husband had to pay an uber several rides to bring gas back and forth the reefer. We kept calling on Monday they answered and again refused us access to the tractor until we paid . We were not allowed to inspect the work. The damage was the in the wiring of the computer. We bought all the parts and gave them to the mechanic. So basically it was only labor. They charged us almost 4k and when my husband looked they had not repaired anything. They patched it enough for us to leave and get to Tampa where a real mechanic not a thief fixed it. Basically paid another 4k . Mind you they say they are open 24/7 but as you can see from the texts with they owner they are not. That man is a thief and possibly racist.
