A clean gas station?!?! I've been to the dreaded gas station restroom but I've never had a problem at a Pilot's. I don't remember the last time I've been to a Pilots maybe the time I went to a Split Pea Andersen restaurant. I know you read that review. They are one of a few gas stations I prefer using when driving long distances along with a Flying Js or Chevron TA or Loves (not the bakery people) but this Pilot here has a Cinnabon inside. Of course, there's the snacks and quick bites like hotdogs and nachos but let's throw in tee shirts, stuff animals, balloons, some hand held audio recorders, and even a pair of sunglasses. Plus more. Ooh and they still have the gas attendant that by law have to pump your gas. I through the state got rid of them but that's only for diesel. What's the difference? I don't know but it's a state law that's been there since the old model T fords I guess. Overall four stars. It's a one stop shop place for travelers. If I could do negative 5 stars I would! This place is a joke, I pulled in with a flat tire on my horse trailer with two horses loaded. I am a woman with a bad back and was struggling to replace my tire instead of any offer of help the attendants stood together and watched me struggle instead of asking if i needed help. i was able to do it but an offer of help would've been kind. on leaving I mentioned that it would've been kind if they had offered help instead of watching me struggle. what did the guy say.... well we are helping customers we don't have time for you! wow i would've given them a big tip for helping me instead i was their entertainment so they could stand around and watch the struggle. Consistent pricing and service, however, the service runs the spectrum. I dont stop for Pilot unless i am not in a rush. They usually have a shared space with a fast food place, and they have similar staffing challenges. This is pretty much your typical Pilot off any freeway... I had my Good Sam discount, plus used my GasBuddy card, so it was the cheapest gas in the region. Pumps were really busy, and half of them were closed - I'm guessing due to a lack of help. Inside isn't much to shout about - the Cinnabon attendant said that none of the advertised coffees are available, as corporate doesn't give them enough to go around. We stopped here to use the bathroom and shop for snaacks. My review is strictly about the store, I did not buy gasoline here. The bathrooms were clean and that is always a plus during long roadtrips. The store itself had lots of products, snacks, basic first aid stuff, drinks and food. The prices were ok, I found it reasonable. The cashier was friendly, not great but she wasnt rude (I do not expect to talk story with a gas station cashier anyways). Overall, I will stop here again on my next roadtrip that way. But the coffee bar is often out of large cups, straws and one of the two creamer dispensers is usually empty. They also never have the breakfast taquito roll things. I think they just need more staffing to keep everything stocked and cleaned but again the staff is friendly and helpful. If not for them I would only have given 2 stars. read more

I generally like Pilot but this one has definitely gone down hill. Pilot used to keep their prices down or at least competitive but lately they've cranked up their prices. I know that many places are struggling to find workers, but I watched two workers just standing around keeping pumps closed while the lines were 3 or 4 deep. I drive a VW Diesel and was just told I couldnt get gas at one of the two diesel pumps that station had and that I had to drive around and wait in line behind four other cars all wanting regular fuel (which also would have put me on the wrong side as my gas tank) Mind you I was parked in front of the pump, outside of my car about to put my card in the machine and in OREGON I can do it all myself since it is a Diesel and not regular fuel. Three other vehicles were pointed the same direction I was so I'm not buying that excuse either. I didnt need anyone's help, I was self serve. I didn't ask for a lecture telling me how much they didnt want me to pump gas at their station. I didnt ask anything just felt lucky to have an open pump on the correct side of my gas tank. The lot attendant went out of his way to cause trouble when he was clearly needed elsewhere if the lines were that long. It ultimately slowed down all their other customers, made me leave and made me angry, interrupted the manager, and all he had to do was keep his mouth shut and do his job and everything would have been fine and they would have had another $60 in sales that day. And likely they lost the next day, and the next, and the next It's done, I will pump my gas elsewhere, and as an Uber Driver I burn 15-20 gallons a day. I called the manager to complain and he was nice enough, said he was going to try to fix it but the lot attendant shooed us away too quickly. Surely another station would prefer my gas, my red bull and my snack business. There are other Taco Bells I can get breakfast from. They really should work on their customer service skills and employee training. And get more Diesel pumps! read more

This was the last place we got our gas pumped for us at before we headed back home to Cali. May 19, 2023, we stopped at the Brooks Travel center. It was extremely busy but after waiting we finally got up to a gas pump at Pilot. A new gal comes out and takes our card and tries it but said the pump was not accepting it. She said we needed to go inside to work it out. My husband said we would go up the road to Aurora instead. She gave us back our card but didn't replace the gas cap and cover. As we were leaving we noticed the gas cover sticking out so had to put it right ourselves on the side of the busy highway. We had no issues using our card at the Aurora Pilot stop, for under $30. We received our credit card bill in June and saw a charge of $105.95 at the Brooks station. We disputed the charge with our card bank which was originally credited but in July we were charged again because there is no proof that the charge was in error on their end. Our car takes a maximum fill of $60 when empty. We are now stuck paying for someone else's gas from a pump which should have been canceled with our card error. Moral: Never pull away until you have verified the card is canceled from the pump. We will never use Pilot again after all the calls back and forth with no apologies or credit offered!! read more

This place has a special spot in my heart. My son has autism and believes He works here. We go almost everyday so he greet people and open doors. The staff there is amazing and encouraging. Patricia at taco bell is the only person my son will order from! She talks to him amd engages him in ways most people do not. Alley in Cinnabon is so friendly and sweet my son asks if she is there the whole ride over. Alex at the pilot part is so nice and encouraging and friendly. Irshad is so engraciating he makes us feel like we belong! Its hard to find a place with so many autism friendly people. They love my son akd he loves them. If I was a truck driver going through Oregon, I would make sure to make my pit stops at the Pilot Travel Centers. It's like a convenient store + amenities explosion. You get all the slushies and rotating hot dogs you want, but there's even more for the vagabond lifestyle. If you get bored on the road, there are a wide selection of DVDs, and all sorts of neat things you can bring on the road with you and plug into the 12-volt charger in the truck. A Netbook for the same price that you'd get it at an electronics store? Nice! In terms of food options at this particular center, I could choose to "eat fresh" and "think outside of the bun" at the SAME time. So that's what we did. Shared a foot long and then finished off the meal with a soft taco [The boyfriend also started his meal with a bean burrito.]. One of the other Pilot Travel Centers we came across had showers, so I wouldn't be surprised if this one did too. You can go about your business in the store/restaurants, and they'll call out your number when the shower is available. Saves time! Minus one star for encouraging overeating. Why are the 32 oz. fountain drinks/slushies cheaper than the 16 oz. and 24 oz. ones? It's not like I'm complaining though. I ended up with a giant 99 cent Blue Icee. YUM. read more

Usually the only place I will stop along the I-5! Large, clean bathrooms, a sizeable market with a lot of food and drink options, electronics and other car/truck gadgets, and a food court with a Taco Bell and a Subway. Cheap gas too! The only thing I don't like as much here is the actual gas station part. They get very busy, and if you don't stand at your car and move it, they will actually summon you via the PA system. And if you do wait, it'll inevitably be so busy that it takes forever for an attendant to get to your car. Fortunately they're happy to turn a blind eye when it's busy, so you can take out the pump yourself instead of waiting for them, just as long as you let them start it. read more

I've given up on this truck stop. And I've been stopping here for years. It used to be the most convenient place to stop for gas and get a nosh between Eugene and Portland. Easy access from I-5 and plenty of pumps, parking, and a Taco Bell inside. Nothing wrong with a crispy beef taco to tide you over before hitting Portland. And the gas has been reasonable. But lately... I think they've cut staffing. Oregon doesn't allow self-serve gas, so you have to wait for maybe three attendants to service about 36 pumps. Good luck. At any given time, the wait for gas can be 20 minutes. And they're surly. Inside, the place stinks. I don't know what is going on, but the combination of a Subway and Taco Bell produces rancid odors in the restaurant section. Three or so years ago, it wasn't that way. I think from now I'll stop at the Aurora exit at the TA truck stop that has Popeye's. read more
