What I enjoyed most was the aesthetic of the building..it's a historic Opelousas bank turned coffee shop, and I was amazed! The door to the safe still exists, and they've repurposed the inside of the safe to a cute little semi-private seating nook. To top it off, the super friendly barista graciously gave me a bit of history about the bank and area! I definitely recommend for visitors and locals alike!

Most recently I tried one of their seasonal drinks, the reindeer chow but asked them to hold the chow to make it a cookie butter latte with oat milk (wasn't really in the mood for a chocolatey cereal chow meal in my drink but loved the concept)! I also ordered the avocado toast. The latte was perfectly balanced, yet rich and delicious! It was also served at the perfect drinkable temp. The avocado toast was THICK and the avocado and egg topping seemed fresh. It was very filling and a nice dose of healthy protein after all the holiday indulgence! I will ALWAYS come back to this coffee shop when I'm in town especially since it holds a precious memory for me. We stopped in on Saturday and Sunday morning and enjoyed hot lattes and macchiatos. During the second visit I tried one of the seasonal Mardi Gras drinks - bourbon caramel to be specific. The drink was delicious. I wanted to buy a shirt of a woman looking like she was standing on business but they were sadly sold out. Anyway, enough rambling. The cold foam wasn't sweetened, which worried me, but after swirling it all together, it was just the perfect latte. The syrups didn't have any of the ickyness you sometimes find (maybe they're house made? I didn't ask) and the cold foam made for the most perfect consistency.
