This is an amazing business. They give back to their community, especially in the midst of the ICE surge going on in Minneapolis. They have many pins, whistles, safety gear for protests, among so much more. The service is friendly and the people working are happy to talk for a bit. They have a great selection of drinks (coffee, alcohol and thc) and it's a fun place to see a show. Definitely check it out if you're in the area!

Pillar cafe is a unique coffee shop/bar/venue(?). It really seemed to have everything, from espresso to wine to THC drinks. It was a nice spot to work from in the morning, with some tables in the main room and a few in an adjacent stage room. The lavender latte was amazing. The espresso taste was super strong and the syrup flavor was great.

As someone who only visits the cities, the location was the edge of feeling comfortable. Cool shop but menu is relatively limited. Espresso flavor is great and quality of coffee is high but my latte was very milk forward.

Chilled laid back Coffee 5 - All the basics and a few seasonal specialty drinks. They make their own syrups. Chai latte was really good. Nice spice level and not sucky sweet like most out of the box chai mixes. Ambiance 5 - cozy and chill. The owner designs and sells skateboards alongside a cafe. Lots of walkup/takeout business. Real actual record player music and funky industrial vibe makes it so easy to sit back and take it all in or just hang out and do work. The coffee shop is also very clean. Service 4 - very respectful and helpful. Accessibility 5 - found lots of parking spots out back. Also lots of neighborhood street parking.

Cafe Area- more seating in the back!

Stumbled upon PILLLAR Forum Cafe when I was in search of good coffee today! This low key coffee shop was the perfect place for getting coffee with a friend this morning. We stayed for 3 hours! It wasn't super busy which was nice, and I really liked the atmosphere- it was like skater meets coffee shop vibes. They had some boards and other merchandise they were selling (as seen in my first photo) and fun music was played the whole time. Everyone was very friendly (including the other customers- had great conversations with multiple people!!) They have extra seating in the back of the cafe but it was pretty quiet today due to it being the day after a holiday. I got an iced lavender latte with oat milk and it was very good! They have a simple menu with a few special seasonal flavors and some pastries. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

Yummy coffee, cute building, and quiet shop with locally made skateboards for sale, which I thought was a unique touch.

Good lighting and not too loud. They have all of the usual coffee options as well as several of their own concoctions. They have pastries as well as more hearty options like breakfast burritos, although when we went they were out of burritos, probably because we were there so late. They have several gluten free items, and vegan items. It looks like everything that can be sourced locally is local, and they have the providers listed on the menu. They are obviously very socially and environmentally conscious. The servers were very friendly. I had a cold press with cream which was excellent, exactly what I hoped it would be, good coffee flavor. Next time I would probably ask for less cream, but it is real cream. I also had the morning bun which was very good. It was like a cinnamon roll that was also rolled in cinnamon and sugar on the outside. My partner had a red eye which was dark roast and espresso with cream. He liked it very much. He also had a ham and cheese croissant and an apple fritter, both of which were very good. Parking is street parking which wasn't a problem when we were there but may be a problem at busier times. The interior is handicapped friendly, but again parking could be an issue. We loved it and will definitely be back.

There was only one person ahead of me, which gave me just enough time to peruse the menu on the wall, figure out where the WiFi password was listed, and break down my will enough to order that gorgeous-looking apple fritter at the top of the bakery shelf. The barista quickly assembled my large maple latte in an orange-yellow mug with that apple fritter that was calling my name, plus a large breakfast burrito. The burrito was more like an enclosed panini with sides of salsa and sour cream. While I ate 2/3rds of it, I cannot say that I enjoyed it all that much, especially for the $13 price. On the other hand, the maple latte and apple fritter were divine, if a little over-priced (although, what isn't, nowadays?). The power and Internet for the neighborhood just went out in the middle of this review, so I'm finishing through my phone hot-spot and will head on my way!

They have a huge indoor and outdoor seating area and the patio is dog friendly - which was great to bring my god (they had water bowls and all). They also roast their beans here, so it's very cool to see that as well A few girlfriends and I sat outside on a beautiful Friday morning and enjoyed coffee and catching up. We ended up all getting one of the seasonal specials the spumoni (lavender honey latte) and we all really enjoyed our drink. They also have a wide variety of pastries from if you local spots including Marc Heu, which is awesome as going to the actual location can be a bit of a nightmare with long lines. The barista were all very friendly and were churning out orders quickly. There is some construction going on in the area right now so you do have to loop around a little bit which is a little confusing, but there is a huge parking lot with tons of available parking Another huge perk as it is also on the coffee compass pass - I'm already planning to go back tomorrow to use that BOGO deal :)

I can't be more thankful that they have dedicated customer parking only spots right out front because I would have skipped altogether if I couldn't find parking. Love that they have an accessible ramp, a spacious patio with some outdoor seating, really spacious indoor seating and clean bathrooms. Staff was friendly and despite the constant stream of new customers they were so fast and efficient in getting everything out quickly. Coffee was good, the chocolate chip cookie by Marc Heu was a bit disappointing though (that's not a Dogwood issue though) it just a want chocolate chip cookie-ing. Reasonable prices, friendly staff and dedicated parking is a win in my book. Also love that they partner with Sweet Renaissance for special drinks for the month.

It gets pretty loud inside and there isn't a ton of natural light so it's not the best place to study, but they do have plenty of seating and space if you don't mind studying in that environment. It's a great place to hang out and catch up with friends. They have outdoor seating in the summer too. The coffee is pricey compared to other shops in the area, but it is so good I keep going back. Even just a cup of plain hot coffee is almost $5. The workers have always been friendly and the coffee comes out quick. Despite the price and atmosphere, it gets a 5 from me solely for the amazing coffee!

The baristas definitely have latte art skills, and my drink was prepared beautifully and with care. The staff are super kind, which really adds to the experience.
