The New Brunswick campus is the largest Rutgers campus, and I stopped in to visit the business…read moreschool, with updated modern classrooms, trading room, study and presentation spaces, and a wonderful stairwell entry for photos. They have a large arena (Jersey Mike's arena), and a lot of passion for their teams and campus - definitely found points of history and highlights around the campus.

If you look closely at the ten highest paid public servants in New Jersey, you'd see the Governor,…read moretwo or three train conductors from NJ Transit who have mastered the art of overtime and a random assortment of current and former head football coaches from Rutgers University's not so recent past. In 2014 we were told that Rutgers had to join the Big 10 Athletic Conference to bring our state funded University to national prominence and generate hundreds of millions in incremental revenue that would fund not only athletics but their various academic missions as well. "Win/Win" went the PR-driven pornography. Not so fast. A state audit has revealed that since Rutgers joined the Big 10 in 2014, the athletic department has hemorrhaged more than a half billion dollars. So much for the absurd talking points and rationale that got everyone hot and bothered 12 years ago. Forget grading in a curve, Rutgers and their cheerleader fan boys in Trenton get a well deserved F. I won't even even embarrass them further by pointing out their 52-93 won/loss record since 2014. Zero stars

This building is lovely and easy to find! Walk inside and take the elevators to the 4th floor…read more Check in and sign in with the receptionist. I was the only one taking the class so it went by pretty quickly. The instructor is so nice and really explains each topic well. She asks you questions to make sure you understand the content in order to apply it to the emergency situation. Her questions all help with the test at the end. She's friendly and approachable, so don't be afraid to ask questions! The mannequins have become more high tech from when I last did my BLS certification. There's an app that can measure the depth and rate you're performing your compressions. I think that's pretty cool! In terms of cleanliness/infection control, we were wearing masks. I only removed my mask momentarily when I was performing rescue breaths. All equipment was wiped down and disinfected after the course. Hand sanitizer was also available. I felt safe with the proper precautions taken. Overall, I highly recommend getting your certification done here! The whole experience was pleasant.

I took time from work to attend and arrived at the site on time. First, the instructor (Daniel Scotti) never showed up. Second, I called the 800 number and was informed that the instructor had "car trouble" and the class was not going to be taught. Last, I was never contacted even though they had my cell number and email address. This organization is very unprofessional... go with the Red Cross or YMCA classes.

We recently enrolled both of our children at Guidepost Montessori at Somerset, and I couldn't be…read moremore grateful for the experience we've had so far. Our one-year-old daughter just started this month, and the staff have been incredibly sweet and attentive with her. From day one, I received plenty of photos and updates showing exactly what she was doing throughout the day. That level of communication made me feel so much more at ease, especially as a parent leaving a little one in someone else's care for the first time. In just a short time, she's already learning to spoon-feed herself and is showing so much more independence while exploring and walking around with confidence. Our four-year-old son has been attending for a couple of months now. He had been struggling with some behavioral challenges at his previous daycare, but since switching to Guidepost, we haven't had a single issue. The difference is night and day. The teachers here are clearly well-trained and experienced. They have a calm, confident presence and complete control of the classroom (which is no easy feat with a group of four-year-olds!). They keep the children engaged while also teaching valuable social skills, like how to play cooperatively, share, and respect personal space. In addition, our son has multiple food allergies and sensitivities, and the team at Guidepost has been exceptionally supportive and accommodating. They've gone out of their way to not only make sure his dietary needs are met, but to support me as a parent during what has been a tough transition to a new diet. More than anything, what sets this school apart is how much they genuinely care (not just about the kids, but about the entire family). I wholeheartedly recommend Guidepost Montessori!

I looked in to TWELVE daycares/schools in the surrounding areas of Somerset, Piscataway, Edison and Metuchen to find the best fit for me and my family. Guidepost Montessori by far stood out amongst the rest. There is no other school that teaches the practical life skills curriculum and montessori method like Guidepost. During my initial tour, you could sense the professonalism of the facility amongst the rest. I love that they allow the children to choose what they want to do/learn day by day. It is not your average school that has the same curriculum for every student. Each child is taught to their standards and their likings and that's is so necessary in little children. Whenever I walk into Guidepost, the guides and staff are always so professional. You always see each guide being so attentive and nurturing to their students. There is never a moment you walk in and they are not doing their job. I have went on several tours and was instantly turned off due to their staff not being attentive and/or using the cell phones. Guidepost is NOT like this at all. I was instantly attracted to their Nido room when I saw Ms. Gioia sitting and clapping with the babies. You can see the love and care she has for each and everyone of them. I knew I would be in good hands leaving my baby here. The facility. is also VERY clean! I love that they do inside shoes and outside shoes and for the NIDO class room they wear shoe covers to keep the floors clean for crawling children. If you're looking into Guidepost, you won't be disappoint. This is definitely a great place to have your children. My oldest son is in the mixed age Childrens House class and when I come to pick him up he gets upset and says "He doesn't want to leave." At Guidepost, you will be well taken care of. You will be well at ease knowing that your children are in good hands at Guidepost.
