Cozy, friendly and within decent range of my destinations. Parking was easy as they have a small lot at the back of the building. Breakfast was delicious and the coffee was great. My room was on the 3rd floor, so beware if you are bring a lot of luggage as there are no elevators (not that I was expecting any). I reserved this room as I wanted the fireplace. My only caveat: If you plan on using the fireplace, it is gas, and I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get it on the first night. I asked the next morning and didn't realize I had to ask for the pilot light to be lit. It was early October and it had just gotten cool out. The hosts were so accommodating! There is a small pantry area where there is a fridge for common use if needed with bottled water and coffee/tea available. (Keurig and Kcups). This was my first time booking a B&B and it was the perfect experience. My only SLIGHT disappointment was that the Wi-Fi left a little to be desired. It was sometimes spotty, but still got me through. I would most definitely recommend it and if I am in the Philly area, would book it again in a heartbeat!

I knew we were in for a comfortable stay when Yolanta offered us tea and whisky that was left out for guests to enjoy at any time. The house, aside from the Christmas ornaments, is beautifully decorated. The reception area's red couches and chairs were perfect for sitting with a hot tea or whisky while plotting your next moves during your trip or just vegging out with some email or reading. A full kitchen that you can cook at too is also available along with free parking. Our room was large and lovely, with a claw foot tub in an exceptionally roomy bathroom. There was a generous amount of toiletries included along with a hair dryer. It was hard to escape the clutches of their super comfy tempurpedic mattress in the morning. Breakfast was delicious and during our stay had consisted of omelettes with ham, spinach or cheese, sausages, toast, cut fresh fruit, coffee, juice, and tea, and waffles. Chestnut Hill is just a 12 minute walk away, a street lined with top notch restaurants and cute stores making Silverstone conveniently located for a lovely and quiet night out. Silverstone is a highly recommended stay. You will leave hauntedly happy!

I come here often for conventions and have never been disappointed with the experience. I only have one complaint, I drive a low car and the speed mountains in the parking lot are excessive.

I had investigated this as a resource doing pre-planning so that I could pay for it on my credit card weeks before the event. I live 70 miles away and, in a blizzard, if my sister lost electric, I would not be able to help her. I hired a friend to take her to the hotel I had paid for and she was turned away on a technicality. I pleaded for a reasonable accommodation for the handicapped based on the fact that I would pay for any incidentals with my card. SHE WAS TURNED AWAY! I complained to the sales staff and asked for compensation which was denied. I asked to speak with the manager. I left a message and six days later the call has still not been returned! I will only due business with a chain that takes better care of those with disabilities.

Walls and ceilings are painted stucco, some chipping. They "upgraded" us for no extra charge to a 2 bedroom suite, but only one of the two bathrooms has towels. They don't allow smoking in the rooms but both our room and the one we rented for our kids smells of stale cigarette smoke. Won't come back.

I recommend adding the parking to your stay, it is in a secure parking lot and can only be accessed with your hotel room key. The hotel itself isn't located in the best area but we didn't have any plans to venture outside of the hotel besides leaving for the concert and returning for the night. It was a great location and decent pricing if you're looking to stay somewhere prior to a concert at a local venue as all of the hotels around the venue were priced significantly higher.

Never Again! Over…read morethe past 13 months, we have spent a total of 15 nights at this property, so this review is based on multiple stays--not just one bad experience. The positives: The views of the Ben Franklin Bridge and Philadelphia are fantastic, and we have always found the property to be clean. Unfortunately, the front desk and management have guaranteed that we will NEVER stay here again. During our most recent stay, we simply wanted to add two additional nights to our reservation. Instead of receiving assistance, the front desk clerk became extremely rude, yelled at us, and called us "assholes" and "idiots," among other insults. Yes--all of this because we were trying to spend more money and stay two additional nights. What made the situation even worse was management's response. When we reported what had happened, instead of apologizing or trying to understand the situation, we were told: "You must have started this." After 15 nights at this property in just over a year, we certainly did not expect to be treated this way. Great views and a clean property cannot make up for being verbally abused by an employee and then blamed by management for that employee's behavior. We were only trying to ADD TWO NIGHTS! Needless to say, those will be the last nights we ever attempt to book here.

There was plenty of desk space and a small sofa with a computer desk. The bathroom was adequate. The view from the room was great. It was nice that we could see a high school rowing race one morning from our room. Breakfast is served downstairs. They had a pretty good offering of breakfast items. They had the usual items like scrambled eggs, sausage and potatoes. One of the mornings they served a smoked chicken for smoked chicken burritos. It was different and good. Along with these breakfast items, they also had coffee and juices. The gym is located on the first floor. They had sanitizing wipes to clean the machines before and after using the machines. A large screen tv was there for watching. Ellipticals and treadmills are available for you to use. It was enough for a good workout. The Homewood was a good hotel for me. Both my wife and I liked it. If in this area again, we would stay here again.

The window treatments were well chose, worked well, and worked effectively at keeping the room dark in broad daylight. The air conditioner worked well and the room was comfortable. The bed and pillows were also comfortable. The shower was nice and it had soap, shampoo, and conditioner fastened to the wall. We swam in the pool once and had a couple drinks, which were readily available from the lobby's grab-n-go section. The staff were friendly as well. We slept through breakfast everyday, so we didn't get to try that. But so many wonderful food options nearby, that didn't both us one bit. Very nice hotel. Very nice staff.

Breakfast is free every morning (always a win), and two nights a week they put out light snacks in the evening. The lobby is huge and perfect if you want to bring your meal down and hang out. The staff is always friendly, the place is spotless, and the location couldn't be better--restaurants and shops all around, with an Outback Steakhouse literally across the parking lot. The next day we checked out and again I asked can someone check the room before we go just to make sure everything was ok again I was brushed off and we left that Sunday Monday I saw odd charges on my bank statement so I called the person informed me it was a temporary hold Tuesday I call because now it's a posted transaction and they took more then the holding fee again I was told wait more time it will adjust it self NEVER WAS I INFORMED OF ANY FEE. They told me check by Friday Friday comes I call the hotel from 8am no manger til 9 call at 9 no manger 9:30 he still not there 10:30 still not there so I drive there because no one can give me answers no one saying anything now at 11 I get there there's a manger and he's immediately dismissive and has and attitude like I'm not the one who has been calling and reaching out all week .THIS whole NEGATIVE experience could have been AVOIDED HAD SOMEONE CAME TO MY ROOM AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT INSTEAD OF WAITING FOR ME TO LEAVE THE PREMISES AND secondly LYING EACH TIME I CALLED INSTEAD OF TELLING ME I WAS CHARGED FOR A CLEANING FEE THE FIRST TIME I CALLED WITH CONCERNS on Monday!! What am I to do if no one comes to inspect the room the two times I requested it while im there on SITEE ? How can I dispute anything once I'm gone this is dirty business practice to over charge people especially when the complaint can't be verified any other way than PHYSICALLY BEING THERE !!
