First off, the office is pretty unorganized, asked for the same paperwork multiple times, made an extremely large amount of errors on the financial paperwork that *I* had to point out on multiple occasions, and was overall an extreme headache. They were an office that could take a month to do something but expect you to respond and get paperwork in an hour or two. They're never in a hurry but if they ask you for something they hound you for it. They never keep you in the loop of what's going on in the process until they're sending emails and calling because they need something ASAP. I almost went with a different lender but I would have lost my earnest money and my house although I was strongly considering taking that risk because of how horrible the process went. And yet I'm still dealing with their crap.. Go somewhere else. Seriously, anyone.

He kept us in the loop at all times, but wasn't overbearing with the contact. Terry is honest, kind, and extremely caring. Two months before we ended up signing a purchase agreement, Terry walked me through the process, the closing costs, the fees, line by line. Nothing is hidden, with Grove Mortgage. Our builder's lender gave us a worse rate with twice the amount of closing costs, mostly due to the builder's lender charging ridiculous origination fees, which Grove Mortgage does not do. I have been on numerous phone calls with Terry past 6:30 or 7 pm. He makes himself available, which is so important. Terry even saved us from some shadiness that was going on with our original realtor. He has made this process much more calm than I had ever imagined. Once again, I cannot recommend using Grove Mortgage enough, we truly feel like we have been treated like family.

I called back later that day with new information to give them to assist the process and I was sort of shuffled off the phone stating they would get back to me when they heard something. I explained it was urgent as we were moving very quickly. They said, no problem. They never called back. Very poor customer service. Well we got approved quickly with Academy Mortgage and they have been very attentive and have gone the extra mile to make sure we are getting the best available for us. Call your prospects back. You just lost out on a lot of money!
