Sharing his School Year 2024-25 assessment for Kindergarten below after attending/graduating from preschool at Seeds of Tomorrow: Name writing: He has a very strong pencil grip and formation of letters. He can move on to writing his last name too if you'd like! Our end of year "name goal" is writing first and last name in the lines with correct letter formation. Letter names: 52/52 (above standard for this time of year) Letter sounds: 29/30 (26 sounds were the typical sounds from A-Z and the extra 4 sounds were digraphs. He know 3/4 digraphs! So awesome! He just didn't know "ck"). He is above standards for this time of year in sounds. Phonemic Awareness: 18/22. I went further with him on this assessment than I did with anyone else so far. His sense of language is very strong. Phonemic awareness is hearing sounds in words. He was able to identify beginning sounds, ending sounds, he could blend words together (verbally), and also break them apart. He is further along in this area than a lot of his peers. He is above this standard for this time of year for phonemic awareness. Irregular words (sight words): 22/22 (a lot of kids come in knowing 0-3 words, he is above this standard too!) Identifying numbers 0-20: 21/21 (above standard for this time of year) Identifying 2D Shapes: 5/5 (meeting standards) Counting by 1's to 100: 100/100 (above standards for this time of year) His scores reflect that he is VERY prepared for kindergarten. He also has been doing really well in the classroom producing neat work, kind energy, and follows directions well. Well done, K*****!

This review is extremely overdue, but here it goes!…read more We enrolled our twins in the summer program (2025) to gently ease them into the school, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. The director, Ms. Sarah, has been so incredibly helpful and an absolute godsend. As a parent of twins, the loading and unloading assistance (from Ms. Sarah & Ms. Martha) has been extremely helpful, especially since parking can be tricky at times. My girls were also bumped up a class after the winter break , but while in room 4 Ms Howeida, Ms.Reina & Mr. Martin were all wonderful and played an instrumental role helping our girls transition from home to daycare. Their warmth and patience made all the difference, and we are so grateful for the foundation they built for our girls. Overall, I've truly seen how much my girls have grown while there. It means a lot to me that they're given opportunities to interact with other teachers and experience different classroom environments, which really helps ease transitions. I'm just so grateful for the care, structure, and support that has helped them thrive here.

Lily is ending the year with flying colors--it didn't come easy, but with the loving guidance of her teachers, she has blossomed into a confident, well-rounded, and independent student. As parents, we've never had to worry about how she's doing because we trust the strong foundation the school has built. We've seen it before with her older sister, which is exactly why we chose the same path for Lily. For families considering Montessori, it's important to understand that the learning doesn't stop at school--it continues at home. The partnership between teachers and parents makes all the difference. A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Amelia and Mrs. Sarah for the 3.5 years we entrusted our last baby to you. Because of you, Lily is ready for what's next--confident, curious, and unafraid to speak up, ask questions, and think outside the box. We will truly miss all of her teachers. I'll miss the daily stories Lily would come home and share, and hearing how much she loved her teachers (especially the hugs). But I know those bonds don't just disappear--they stay with her. Montessori San Leandro will always hold a special place in our hearts. We will continue to recommend this school to our friends and even to strangers. Thank you for being such an important part of our girls' journey and for helping shape them into who they are becoming.

Watching both kids thrive in the same loving community has been the best endorsement we could ask for. What sets Growing Years apart is the people. The teachers in Willows, Maples, and Redwoods are incredibly attentive and nurturing--they notice the small things, follow the children's curiosity, and turn everyday moments into learning. Thank you to the entire teaching team for inspiring imagination, kindness, and independence. And a very special thank-you to Miss Neeru and the admin staff for running such a thoughtful, organized, and welcoming preschool. Their communication is clear, transitions between classrooms are handled with care, and families always feel included. The program blends play-based fun with real kindergarten readiness. Our kids come home talking about letters and numbers, new stories and songs, art projects they're proud of, and the games they played outside. We love the "Star of the Week" tradition that helps each child shine and build confidence. Family gatherings, Christmas celebrations, and multicultural events make it feel like a true community where every culture and family is welcomed and celebrated. If you're looking for a caring, well-run preschool/toddler program with dedicated teachers, meaningful curriculum, and a genuine sense of community, we highly recommend Growing Years Preschool. Our children have felt safe, encouraged, and excited to learn here--and that peace of mind for parents is priceless. Thank you, Miss Neeru and team, for giving our family such a positive start to early education!

After moving to CV in 2021 (5 days before she was born!), we had a hard time finding a daycare/preschool that would take babies. After many inquiries for months, we learned that GY was opening up a classroom for 2-year-olds, to compensate for the fact that many 4-year-olds were starting to attend TK at public elementary schools. She started attending right after her 2nd birthday and remained there for the past 2 years in the Willows (2yo) classroom and the Maples (3yo) classroom. She loved going to "school" and developed wonderful relationships with friends and teachers during her time there. We would have happily stayed for the Redwoods (4yo) preschool class, but decided to transition her to TK so she could attend the same school as her 7yo sister. We had nothing but wonderful experiences with the teachers and staff at Achievers, who maintain frequent and open communication with parents, and schedule fun events for the kids. They supported us with potty training so she could move to the Maples classroom, which honestly helped us make that transition sooner rather than later. I would recommend Achievers to any parent looking for a safe, loving and welcoming environment for their little one!

She grew so much while she was there. The teachers are warm and caring, and you can tell they really love what they do. It was always so nice to be see their arts and crafts hung up right by the front door so that you could see what they had worked on recently. I also thought it was awesome that they spoke Spanish to her. I've struggled to keep that going at home, so it meant a lot to know she was learning and practicing at school without me even being there. The school also did a bunch of family events that we loved. Daddy and Me was always a favorite because we got to come in, watch the kids perform, and do crafts together. They also put on fun things for the holidays, like Halloween and Christmas, where the kids got to celebrate and we could be part of it too. It was great watching her play with her friends and have her show me all her favorite places to play in the outdoor play area. The hours were always great so if you're a working parent you have that peace of mind that you know your kids are taken care of so you can focus on work. We're really thankful for the time our daughter had at ABC Preschool. She made great memories, learned so much, and we always felt like she was in the right place. I'd highly recommend you to check this daycare out.

My child has been to a few different daycare programs, including one that's literally 2x the price (Bright Horizons). However, HHP is the only place where my partner and I felt all the teachers (that we've met thus far) have a genuine passion for the kids. At a previous daycare, my child only talked about one teacher who seemed to really care, who unsurprisingly was the only teacher we felt actually enjoyed her job as a preschool teacher. However, at HHP, my child raves about all the teachers. There is a glaring weakness at HHP though, and that's the administration team. Unfortunately, other Yelp feedback about the slow and sometimes lack of responses (via phone or email) are true in my experience. Phone calls or emails go unanswered for days or weeks at a time, if at all. Fortunately, interaction with the admin office are mostly unnecessary after the child is actually enrolled. I'm hoping this area will be improved! If there are any "emergencies" or issues with my child at school, the teachers are very good about either calling or emailing us. And teachers are timely in their responses to our proactive emails to them as well. All in all, HHP has been a very positive place for my child.
