At the time,…read moreI said I hated gyms, never stuck with workout programs, and was shocked I even wanted to come back after my first class left me sore for days. Fast forward to today... I just completed my 277th class. What started as "maybe I'll try this for two weeks" has become one of the best things I've done for myself physically and mentally. btone completely changed my relationship with fitness. I'm stronger, more toned, have better balance and endurance, and actually look forward to working out now -- something I never thought I'd say. The instructors continue to be incredible. They challenge you while still making the classes approachable for every fitness level, and the atmosphere is supportive instead of intimidating. Whether you're walking in for your first class or celebrating your 500th, everyone is encouraged and celebrated. One of my favorite things is that no matter how many classes I take, I still feel challenged and continue seeing progress. The workouts never feel stale. For anyone intimidated to start: I was absolutely the person who thought fitness programs "weren't for me." Now I'm the person taking 6am classes multiple times a week and planning my schedule around btone. Safe to say the two-week trial worked. :)

There is a water bubbler available with cups so you can have a quick drink of water before or after class and the bathrooms are clean and filled with fun art and inspirational messages. I was a little confused and amused by the random salt shakers filled with glitter in the bathroom- maybe if you want to sprinkle some glitter in your hair before class? Easy street parking out in front. My only complaint is that there was no new student special available other than a 2 month unlimited promotion for $150. Being new to the studio, I would have appreciated the opportunity to try more classes at an introductory price. A drop in is $18. There's a great selection of books, cards and Yoga clothes and products to peruse before or after class. I'll definitely be back! Also, it's in a cute area with many other shops and galleries so lots of opportunities to entertain yourself before and after class.

Both my friend and I have been going to her duet Reformer classes for a number of months now and I can feel the difference in my core strength and balance. Even my posture has improved. I'm in my late 60s and have some physical restrictions due to arthritis, and Kim knows exactly how to work with me to adapt certain exercises and still benefit from the experience. She is kind, caring, and has an incredible depth of knowledge about Pilates and the purpose and value of each exercise. She is an amazing teacher and I look forward to my session every week.
