Staff is very friendly and helpful. Once you walk in, the office has a positive vibe. Paperwork is pretty simple and only takes you 5 min. There is street parking available which is not a huddle at all. I had a pleasant experience. They also notified me about their in house dental insurance- $350 a year you get an xray, 2 cleanings and exams, and 25% off if you need any procedures like root canal etc. they also offer care credit separate from the insurance which assists you with payments. They were very informative and not pushy at all! They kept emphasizing "this is our recommendation but it's ultimately up to you". We also got free dental floss toothpaste and brushes in the end. Nice practice and will consider getting in house insurance!

Over the years, many of his staff has come and gone...but his front desk Joyce is one of the best. She keeps the place running and gives great customer service. For teeth cleaning, depending on the tech, you might get rigorous cleaning, flooded cleaning (eg your neck gets wet) - they've gotten better, but generally they are all pretty good. Dr Lee looks at the final product personally. Our family have had anywhere from cavity fillings to major dental surgeries and transplants and wouldn't have anyone but Dr Lee care for us.

It pains me to write a negative review because Dr. Song is a very good dentist. From what I can tell, she has done a great job at fixing my teeth. Unfortunately the office let me down by not being upfront about the costs. After having to shell out a couple thousand dollars for dental work at Columbia University Dental Associates in 2019, I decided to get dental insurance to avoid the high cost. I returned later to get my teeth cleaned and the office at 121st street didn't have any of my insurance information on file. I gave them my Aetna dental ID number and a man told me (I kid you not) that the number won't help him find my insurance information. I refused to get my teeth cleaned until I was assured that it would be covered by the insurance that I have already paid several hundred dollars for. Suddenly, he miraculously found my insurance information and I got my teeth cleaned. After the cleaning, they told me that I had to return the following day because Dr. Song was not there to check my teeth. This was the second time I had this happen to me there - I get my teeth cleaned and then they tell me the dentist doesn't have time so I have to return later. I return the next day to see Dr. Song. She checks my teeth and tells me that I need to replace an old filling in the back and fill two small cavities in the front. We made an appointment and I came back and she did the fillings. She did a great job. She's a good dentist. But after the procedure was over, I was at the front desk and I asked the woman how much I am responsible for. She goes into the system, looks at my insurance, does the math, looks me in the eyes, and tells me that I am responsible for $201. I remember feeling relieved because the cleanings, Xray, and fillings would have cost $1,500 without insurance. That's more money than I made in a month while I was in grad school. I paid her the $201 that day. Then, ten days later, someone from their office went into Aetna's system (Aetna has this on record) to look at my insurance again. Apparently they saw something different, or did the math differently, and I was charged an extra $194 for a "downgrade." The dental office never called me to tell me that they made a mistake. They never told me there had been a downgrade. Aetna told me about it. Here's the thing: Dr Song, her assistants, and the woman at the front desk are extremely nice people. They are not jerks. But after my wife and I have spent countless hours on the phone over the years dealing with surprise charges from dentists and doctors, I cannot stand to be screwed over anymore. The system does not have our best interests in mind. At the very least, a doctor or dentist should be completely upfront with their patients about the cost of every procedure. Every other business in the world works like this but, when it comes to health care, it doesn't. There is no accountability for doctors and dentists when it comes to billing so the only thing we can do, as consumers, is write negative reviews online and stop doing business with them. It's time for doctors and dentists to put our interests in mind. If they don't, I won't do business with them anymore - even if they are nice people. And I advise everyone to do the same.

I was a serious pain based on two toothaches so I found what I thought was a reputable business. I chose "Central Park Dental Studio" because it is advertised as being headed by Genevieve Fernandes, DDS, a Latina graduate from Columbia Dental School. Since I work in a Latino-serving institution, I figured I'd give a young Latina my business. The office assistant, a former Hostos student proved a weak spot and informed me my Guardian insurance covered most of my costs and not to worry. I arrived for an appointment Fernandes never appeared instead a low-level Dentist named Stump substituted and did my dental work. A credentialed Latina being used as a drawing card is outrageous. Based on x-rays, cleaning, extractions, and one visit they tried to charge me $14,000 though after numerous letter exchanges and verbal conflicts, I ended up paying less. I reached out to Fernandes but she never had the courtesy of responding. The billing practice is apparently to keep overcharging and changing charges and underbundling. While I lay in pain on the dentist's chair, they also tried to pressure me to buy Finance Insurance. The office Director, Daniel Ludwick plays loose with bills and helps bulk the clients. Working class people, especially Latinos, I advise you to stay away from this dentist operation and not be taken in by the webpage. I learned a costly valuable lesson. Am now looking for a first-class dentist office of integrity and may have to get the work done over. Please share this review I would feel terrible if another elder fell for this tricknology.

He botched my full upper dental implants…read more Insult to injury he capped a tooth that was infected in addition to another cap chipping within two months due to the pressure from the upper implants. I initially had faith in mr Robertson. Should have known on my first appointment the wrong sized mold was used, everything was down hill from there. Robertson talks a good game, he had me making so many unnecessary visits trying to near the point where I would have the permanents done. Without my permission, it hadn't been quite a year (note: temporary implants are supposed to be good for 12 to 18 months. i CANT SAY DR SO Ill call him Robertson placed the permanents in my mouth and then told me I owe him 7,000 dollars. I would never had let him do the permanent implants, not with the way he botched the temporary mplants and the caps. It was truly a harrowing experience. Shame on you Robertson. If there was less than a one star the would fit robertson. I will also add pressure from the upper implants on my lower front teeth are causing them to lean. I wish to God robertson would have some of the injustices he did to me done to him. I keep thinking of problems to add the inner side of the upper implant scrapes, yes scrapes my tongue. I believe he failed to put the sealant. Is that a quack or what.

The hygienists that have done my cleanings have been very kind, professional and my teeth always feel and look nice and clean afterwards. I have also come in for one filling and the dentist who did the filling was efficient yet did a great job without any issues - the service was also done at a fair price. Dr. Robertson is always friendly and makes sure to ask if I have any new issues or questions; he is also very knowledgeable. I am glad to have found a good dentistry in the area!
