The place is really cool for a young boy or girl to get their haircut. They have a store full of glitter and piercings and toys and then in the back the 6 different options of cars to sit in for a haircut. It was my 6 year old daughter's first time getting a haircut at a public establishment. She loved it. They even braided her hair and sprinkled some glitter at the end. It was magical for her. The only complaint I would make (and I read this in some other reviews) was not being greeted when coming in & and the lady who did my daughter's hair was very quiet. I get it, I'm an introvert, but at least say hi or something? There was another lady there that showed up that seemed more knowledgeable and friendly. It's not a deal breaker for me, but some acknowledgment would be nice. read more

My daughter has very long thick hair. I asked Ms Shameka for long layers and 3 inches off bc brushing out knots everyday was getting to be a chore. She did an amazing job, listened to exactly what I asked for. My daughter was having a bit of a rough morning and feeling emotional and Ms Shameka made sure to comfort her and reassure her everything would be alright. Shameka was amazing with my son's first haircut! She spent time making sure that he was comfortable with her, the environment, and her tools. She brought out toys for him to hold while she sung and danced. Other than the experience, his haircut was cute. She used a little product and gave him a little mohawk that made our day! This is the place that I have taken my son for his haircuts since day 1, and I have been happy each time. Ambiance - 5/5 - It's a great setup in Prosper. This location has a play room, and several chairs have designs like trains and cars. Each time, my son sits in a different chair depending on his mood. Staff - 5/5 - He only gets his hair cut by Shelia, and she is GREAT. She is so sweet and kind. I enjoy our conversations, and she is just amazing with my boy. When my other son is older, he will be using her as well. The main haircut that we go for is a messy spike with a hard 'part'. If I want to trim more or less, she is flexible and my son isn't bothered at all by her technique. I really appreciate that this location is so close to us, and for $25.99, I am happy each time. I will be coming back time and time again...especially if Shelia is around ;). read more

Took both my girls in for a haircut with an appointment. They started as soon as we checked in, the lady who cut my kids hair was very sweet. Her long hair was covering her name tag, so I couldn't catch her name. She offered to bag my kids hair if we wanted to donate it, she measured and cut them in smaller ponytails so we could donate it. My girls and I loved the cut she gave them. The only thing I didn't like was the lady at the register charged us $10 for a 1 min blow dry the hair stylist gave the girls,they didn't check with us if we wanted one. I assumed that since it was a super quick one it was blow off any hair strands left. read more

Shamika is the best. Not going to lie, everybody else is sub par. The girls they hire for the front desk tend to be kinda slow. Rude. Etc. But while we were there Shamika was holding it all together. She just lost her father, had family calling and bugging her, coworkers being idiots, but she kept it professional and positive. She's a rockstar. If management is reading this, the best thing you could do for your business is put her in charge. read more

Had our first visit at this new kid's salon today after our favorite stylist left our previous spot. Decided this was closer to home so we crossed our fingers and gave it a try. My almost 3yo will be starting a new school on Monday and we wanted to clean him up for his day! We've had some bad haircuts on our boy in the past (picture Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber) which resulted in hilarious but pitiful school pictures! Needless to say I was a bit nervous trying someone new at a new salon. Bithiah was awesome! She made my son feel comfortable and gave him a very cute cut. How about greeting someone when they enter the store instead of making eye contact and walking away. The employee at the front desk clearly has problems when it comes to customer service. I have never left a review before but this really irritated me. I entered the Prosper location to ask about my son getting a haircut November 18, 2024 and stood there for 5 minutes without a single employee coming up to speak with me or even acknowledge my existence. I left after waiting for no reason and I will be bringing my business elsewhere. After telling my sister about this I found out this isn't the only time customers have been treated this way. My 7-year old was so excited about getting bangs today and after showing Temeka a video and a photo of the bangs we wanted (beautifully framing the child's face) she literally took a huge chunk and cut it straight across. The past 4 times I have scheduled an appointment for my child's haircut, I get a phone call stating something has happened and they can't get us in any longer and they will have to reschedule. There is always an excuse as to why they can't cut hair at our appointment time! read more

My child's stylist actually *cut her hair while it was still tucked behind her ears.* Like, the stylist didn't even brush it through prior to hacking. I should've stopped her. I don't know why "social pressure" keeps me from standing up for my kids sometimes, and I'm really embarrassed that this is what happened here. Because when Nichole the stylist was "finished," there were still crazy long and uneven pieces in the front. So Nichole retrimmed, somehow with a weed whacker even though I was watching and really believed she used scissors. But when we got home, I was APPALLED at how absolutely terrible this haircut was. And 4 days before school starting was no time to fit in a repair clip. So we washed and treated (Nichole said my child has terribly unhealthy hair, without even initially asking anything about our routine. If she had, she wouldve known my child was in the swimming pool literally 15 minutes prior to leaving as I assumed they'd wash her hair, which they didn't). My child, who always lets her hair dry naturally and never uses a straightener and uses excellent hair care products was gutted by the way Nichole talked to her and others about her hair. It was so unprofessional. But anyway, we get home, wash, treat, gently dry and then lightly flatiron to see the total damage, and I had to put my hand over my mouth to keep from gasping. My child has two "near" layers, which are cut very deeply into her lengths. So it looks like there's a actual stair step in the back of her hair. Does this salon not know about blending layers? Silly me - I assumed they would, when they were the ones suggesting the layers. Never. Again. Would not recommend to ANYONE. This is one of those times that I sorely wish yelp had a zero stars option. The cut was seriously not worth even one star. read more

Not great for preteens or teenagers.. I wouldn't come back for a hairstyle or cut. I asked them straight several times if they are used to cutting pre-teen/teenager hair, and they kept reassuring. The haircut did nothing for my daughter. I might as well have not cut it at all. read more

Called the salon a little worried about my 4 year old that gave herself a haircut at preschool. They were able to get me in right away. I brought my girl in and Bell was our lady and she was awesome! worst experience ever! Nichole , stylist messed up my 3 year olds hair very bad. I was watching her cutting her hair and i pointed out that it needs to be trimmed properly. She didn't do it. Instead she said that is the maximum she can do. Also she is not gentle with kids at all. My baby was very cooperative and didnt move at all . I will never go to that place anymore. The staff here are so rude. The blonde old female receptionist at the front was so rude (she worked morning of Aug 13th 2022) as well as the old male receptionist. I would NOT recommend this place. They do not know what customer service is and they don't speak nicely of you!!!! They made you wait for more than 15 minutes but if you are late for 5 minutes they will kick you out like you are a peasant! Felt bad because we used to go here since grand opening last year but ever since the original staff left and they now have several new receptionist and stylist, it started going downhill. If you are a receptionist, you should know the basics about decency!!!! read more
