I visited Harvey today Thursday November the 16th the store is pretty it's nice and neat. I didn't…read moreknow that they use your phone number in order to give you a discount. But if your phone number is from where you from why would you change it just to move to a little dried up town. So I couldn't get the discount. So I guess you felt sorry because I was having to pay $5.89 for a 5 lb bag of red potatoes. But when the discount was 2.98 she went ahead and gave me the discount. The prices were really high if they take the chance and sit down and work out of price change they could gain more customers. Even the smallest amount of something like paper plates were almost $5.00 I'm talking about no name brand. Lmao. The food in the deli part looked okay I'll give him a three-star on that. I guess if you're from Eastman and that's been the only grocery store that you can get to without a car then kudos. But sometimes people are in a right to the point that they get use to that that's called BS that's a small antiquated town you should make your prices affordable not highway robbery. Cuz Harvey's are very very overly priced! I was just going in there just to try it but what the review state in Google and yep they're all true they're over the price. And another thing I noticed it seems like they watch the black people more than anything then the stock. Even though there are some that work there that don't mean nothing that's just for sure you got to put some brown in with the vanilla in order for people to come there and patronize your business. Let's keep it real now that's how it works. But stop following people around the store Harvey employees. I tried it's ain't for me. Blessings

This is a bit lengthy so bare with me please. This is a grocery store that myself and my family…read morefrequent regularly for food items that we may need. We made a visit on Tuesday July 17, 2018. It started out as any other visit, it was myself, my husband and our 2 young grandchildren. My husband has serious health issues and recently he has had some new ones that has caused him to need to use one of those electric carts that most stores these days provide for the disabled. (Yes he is disabled) On this particular day there were two carts parked and plugged into the electric outlets as you walk into the sliding double doors. One had a grocery basket attached but it was dead the other did not have a grocery basket but fully charged. I tell my husband to get the one without the basket and I would get a buggy. No big deal right? Wrong! It was a very big deal...here is why: After obtaining most of the items that we needed we are at the end of an aisle closest to the meat department when a lady riding in an electric cart (accompanied by a Male walking beside her) yelled from the other end "you may want to get up out of that cart and get this one seeing as how that is my personal cart" I turn and say "We didnt know it was anyones personal cart it was parked in the front with the others." She continues to rant (I won't go into all of that but what I will tell you is that in front of a 6 and 4 yr old I was called very ugly names and this lady threatened to stab me not one but 3 times while saying "she was not from EASTMAN Ga she would show me." I replied with "I'm not from here either" I tell her "We meant no harm it was plugged in and fully charged with the other buggies maybe next time put a sign on it and people will know that it doesn't belong to the store." During this time my husband has gotten up and out of the cart he is in and she had gotten out of the one she is in and gotten into the one my husband was in. If I remember correctly 4 yes 4 employees of Harveys has walked down the aisle and yet not one of them called the law. I expressed that I was going to call the law that this lady had just threatened to stab me over a misunderstanding. I am told oh no no they are just like that...REALLY? Daryl, an employee obviously a little higher ranked than most because he had on a white dress shirt acts like we are the ones in the wrong. REALLY? YEP, Really. Well we make our way to the front and start checking out and I'm so blown away by what has just happened that the cashier is asking for my Harvey's card number and I'm giving her my pin #. The cashier and the young man bagging our items were very apologetic. Mean while a couple of employees are looking out at the entrance, the entrance that we entered through, I think nothing of it really until we start out and the lady, the man and two other ladies are out there with a parked dark colored jeep Cherokee (I think, not certain but it was an older model) so we exit and sure enough they start running their mouth not the Male mind you but all three women. One proceeds to tell me she works for the state the state patrol as a matter of fact and would have me taken care of. The other is accusing us of trying to steal the cart. 1st if I was going to steal the cart I wouldn't have been shopping with it and I sure wouldn't have left the charger at the front. So, yes I end up calling the law myself (by the way the 2 women in the vehicle leave pretty quick when they hear I am calling the law) as Daryl walks by and says not a word to these people. I did say something to him though. I asked "are you really allowing this?" His reply was "I'm not taking sides" seriously? You are supposed to run this store in a safe and friendly manner yet you are not taking sides...the law did arrive and well we were allowed to leave and the other couple was detained for what seemed to have been an outstanding warrant. I have called home office and made a complaint and was called by the new manager today with several "I'm sorrys and you won't have to worry about that agains. We have just got home from picking up the kids some snacks and I was offered $10 gift card. Yes I took it. Then when I got home I think would this have been what was offered to my family if I had been stabbed or shot. I wasn't but this day and time one never knows. As a matter of fact I dont know that these people won't run up on me in another store and stab me or shot me...... FOREVER LOOKING OCER MY SHOULDER Thank you Harveys

I…read morehave Yelp to thank for this life update, while in town casually strolling to see what grocery stores Macon had, it popped up in my search. When I lived in Atlanta, this was my go to grocery store, so imagine my excitement realizing there's one within a 35-mile radius of me now. Cue the happy dance in the parking lot. It's tucked into a large shopping center, so there's plenty of space to pull up, park, and prepare to spend more time (and money) than you originally planned. The moment I walked in, I was hit with the comforting aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, basically the grocery store version of a warm hug. On top of that, every employee I passed greeted me. Everyone was genuinely friendly and eager to help, which made the experience even better. I felt like a kid in a very upscale, health conscious candy store. If you're trying to eat better, this place makes it dangerously easy to stay on track. They have everything, fresh squeezed juices, exotic fruits and veggies, prepared meals, plus a quality meat and seafood department. Don't even get me started on the baked goods and yes they offer vegan and gluten-free pastries, self control was tested. I was especially impressed with their dairy free selection. There were plenty of yogurt and milk alternatives, which made this non-dairy girl feel seen and supported. One of my favorite parts was the snack displays. There were so many unique, better for you options that I hadn't seen anywhere else. I grabbed a bag of herb-seasoned popcorn on a whim and let me tell you, it did not disappoint 10 out of 10. The store itself is quaint, but don't let the size fool you I easily spent an hour exploring, especially the seasonal items. Between the fresh flowers, quality products, and overall inviting vibe, this place is officially back in my rotation. It may be "close ish," but it's absolutely worth the trip.

I picked up some chocolate as a little treat to myself while here. All in all, this was a positive experience.
