I decided on Stivers but then a local guy talked me into all of that doing business locally in case I need something stuff and I told Stivers I was set and didn't need anything more from them but the salesperson was nice and said something like "We have to beat the price you've been offered. It's what we do...(mentioned some $1000 'beat the deal' program they have, IDK) ..." So I now own a Stivers vehicle! All signed, sealed and finalized virtually and delivered by a congenial driver a few days later. It was amazing and exactly how easy car buying can be and should be in 2026!

Appointment was agreed upon well within an acceptable timeframe. I was greeted, and the service person listened and understood what I was saying to them about the issues. The service was performed promptly, and I was called and given the details of the service and what to expect from the vehicle after the service was performed. Overall, I would say this is how service should be done at a dealership. thank you for upgrading your service department.

They went out of their way to make the buying experience the worst and most negative I have ever had buying a vehicle. Hunter was my salesman and made sure to make me feel like my purchase did not matter to him because he "only makes $300 per vehicle regardless of how much the vehicle costs." I was buying my dream car for the first time in my life, sight unseen, and from the most remote place on earth and Hunter made sure that I knew I did not matter because he was going to make the same amount of money whether he sold me the Mustang Dark Horse I wanted or a Kia Soul. His boss Chandler also added to the negative experience by ensuring he kept pressure on Hunter to threaten me that lots of people were looking at the car I wanted, so I should hurry up and buy it and stop asking so many questions. "Just send the money"... even though the vehicle was deeply discounted and sitting on their lot for over two months. The deal we negotiated was fair, I did not haggle, I only asked to have it in writing that the illegal tint be removed on the front windshield and side windows and replaced with legal tint and that they guarantee that the vehicle is entirely stock. The car was a 2025 and only had 1400 miles so it was nearly new but I had to ship it to Hawaii and was planning on using it for work so I needed it to be stock and legal. Hunter told me to send the money and just trust him. Then... once a price was agreed upon, I got several more calls where they were trying to raise the overall price after they found out I was not financing with them. I atttempted to cancel the sale twice and admit that I got angry and very unprofessional with Hunter and Chandler. Eventually, They honored the agreed upon price and I flew from Hawaii to pick up the vehicle after purchasing it. I drove it from Prattsville to Long Beach and that drive was almost enough to negate the worst automobile sales transaction of my life. My advice to everyone is avoid this dealership and avoid this sales team. Put them on commission and maybe they will be more motivated to treat people better. In the future, I don't care how good the price is or how bad I want a particular car... as soon as I see the red flags (which there were plenty throughout the two weeks it took to actually purchase the car) I will walk away and wait until I find a dealer that cares about their customers and has the vehicle I want. Do not deal with this dealership unless you live negativity when purchasing a vehicle.

They knocked $5000 off the price so fast, second red flag. Offered to ship ANYWHERE for FREE. 3rd flag. Told them I'd call right back. Talked to very nice person at Platville Chamber of Commerce. They told me they'd been around for a while. I asked the nice lady if she could recommend a garage to take car to be checked out. She told me "Gipsons Auto" was approx. 2.5 miles from Dorsey's. Called them. For $34.95 would give auto thorough once over. $99.95, soup to nuts. Told Gipsons I'd get back to them. Told Dorsey's if car checked out, were a GO. "George" said he'd talk to manager. Never heard again. Repeated phone calls went unanswered. Guessing they knew who it was. To me, this was a SCAM from the start. I do not know what they're doing, but it ISNT selling cars. As of 12-15-23, car still on FB. STAY AWAY!

I purchased a 2007 Suzuki Forenza less than a year ago from this dealer, and since then I've had…read morenothing but problems. First of all, let me say that they were asking for $8600 for the car originally, but I ended up paying only $8100 for it including tax. Dorsey showed me the Carfax and assured me that his mechanics had thoroughly inspected the car and everything was great, the CarFax was clean as well. So I took it for a text drive and bought the car the next day. The only cosmetic damage was the front bumper, which Dorsey said happened on the way back from auction and he would be more than happy to fix it for me, which ultimately never happened. Found out less than a week later that the tires had less than 5,000 miles left on them...so I went down to Dorsey and got that replaced. Also, less than a week after I bought the car, the battery died. So I took it back down to Dorsey to get the battery replaced, to which Dorsey assured me that he put a brand new battery in the car after he changed it. Well, about 2 months later, my breaks started going out - turns out the master cylinder that transfers break fluid to your break pads was so badly clogged that I had to replace the whole thing - an over $430 expense that Dorsey refused to pay, saying that it was not his problem. So I got the master cylinder replaced. Then my headlight assembly on my driver's side came loose - when I looked at it, it had been Gorilla glued back together! When I confronted Dorsey about this, he said that it was a patch they did and that Gorilla Glue always holds. So I had to pay for a new headlight assembly - an over $100 expense, to which I found out that the frame was bent and had in fact been in a collision, contrary to the carfax and Dorsey's "expertise". Well, about 5 months later the battery died yet again. So I took it back to Dorsey who told me that they use what they call "blimp" batteries; which are essentially old batteries that have been sitting on the shelf for over 6 months. Definitely NOT a new battery, like he assured me 8 months ago. When I confronted him about the fact that he told me when he first changed the battery that it was a new battery, and now he is telling me that it was definitely NOT a new battery, he told me that I misunderstood him and that there was no possible way he told me that it was a new battery. So I went to the local interstate battery place and had to pay for a brand new battery myself - a $175 expense. Mind you, this last battery replacement was in December of 2011. Well, about a month later my battery died YET AGAIN. So I took it back down to Suzuki who assured me that he couldn't do anything with the car and that his mechanics thoroughly looked at the car. So I took it to my local mechanic who looked at the car and saw that the negative wire that connects the alternator to the battery was SEVERED IN HALF! So I had to get that replaced - a $90 expense. Now I find out that my drive belt is in desperate need of repair, that's going to set me back another $90. The car is clearly a lemon, and in less than a year I have spent $717 on this car..and Dorsey motors has done nothing to fix the problems. They are completely dishonest and only there to make a buck! DON'T BUY A CAR FROM THEM! Especially a used car! Even brand new, I wouldn't trust their mechanics to change my oil! They are awful and I fully regret EVER even considering them as a place to buy my car..
