Nessa was FANTASTIC, her level of care is above and beyond and she made sure I was comfortable while she pushed the earring back through my cartilage. Even afterwards, she spent a lot of time answering all my questions and giving me overall great advice on how to care for my cartilage piercing. They also have a stunning jewelry selection up front. I've seen some reviews about them being expensive, but these are handmade with premium materials and sourced from local jewelers, not mass produced. When I first walked in, the sweet girl behind the counter listened to my concern and wrote down my name so I could see the piercer (Jason)! The wait wasn't long until it was my turn as a walk-in and Jason took a look at my piercing and cleaned it up very thoroughly before changing me to a higher quality stud. Jason is super thorough with his work and he explained to me why I wasn't healing properly due to the bad quality stud that I received from another piercing shop. The oldest was a breeze as she understood and didn't fee anything. The youngest, the ear piercer was patient and understood that she was scared. So she had me hold on firmly and boom it was all done. The cleaning afterwards was easy as well. I didn't use the solution provided, just mild soap and water washes to the area and monitoring for any infection. However, after my first appointment was canceled, I came in for my rescheduled visit and left feeling pretty discouraged. The staff explained the risks thoroughly, but it came across less like informed consent and more like they simply didn't want to perform the piercing. I was told things like they had already turned down several people for this type of piercing, that I only had about a 30% chance of success, that it's very hard to be eligible, and that I could be left with a large mark on my abdomen. For a navel piercing--which is very common--that felt excessive and discouraging. What added to the confusion was being told that I had "the perfect anatomy" for it, yet all the guidance seemed aimed at convincing me not to go forward the more and more the conversation went the scarier it got. I was also asked to find jewelry elsewhere and come back because their gauges were too large if I still wanted the piercing done. In the end, I went to another shop and had the piercing done without issue. I can't fully recommend this place, but I also can't completely dismiss them--the experience just left a sour taste. Hopefully, fewer people walk away feeling turned down or discouraged at a shop that offers piercings..
