This store/eatery attracts many customers driving through this area. There have been many articles and stories written about Wyant's Store. There's a group of guys who meet there most mornings to exchange stories while enjoying a cup of joe! One of the owners used to referee for the NFL. My brother had the BLT and my wife had the BBQ pork sandwich, which they both said was very good. My brother and I came back the next morning, for him to resume his ride westward and me to have breakfast. Chicken was crispy, good seasoning, but not complex flavor. Onion rings are real onion rings (not minced) and batter fried. Scalloped potatoes were better than expected and they were a decent portion. In the end, it was good fried chicken from a gas station, though I don't think I'd go out of the way for it. They no longer offer Boars Head and have replaced their cold cuts with another brand. Today the sandwiches I ordered - BLT and Adams lacked flavor. There was a good portion of sliced meat which was a good thing, considering the cost is about $7. The place is clean and you can eat upstairs. It's a nice gas station but pass on the sandwiches.

Given the layout of the road to/from Massanutten, this gas station is easier to access when leaving Massanutten rather than going in. Once in, there are multiple pumps that were relatively easy to access. It tends to be a busy station with cars accessing the pumps and the parking spots directly in front of the store. GAS PRICE. The price per gallon was competitive with prices that we had seen on our way to Massanutten from central Virginia. We did notice a station on Rte. 33 towards Harrisonburg that was 2-cents per gallon cheaper later on the same day. We didn't go into the store, but noticed a sign for "Raise the Roost", chicken and biscuits which are sold in the store.

Also, there's usually a bulletin board up displaying events happening in the area like live music, farmers markets, yard sales and things of this nature. Midtowne Market is a great little convenience store in downtown Harrisonburg. It has the little…read morefood items you might need on a whim. They also carry pre-made lunch type food. More importantly, and the reason I am writing this review, is that Midtowne Market stocks an ever changing selection of unusual/hard to find beers. They stock Rouge Ales, Bell's Beer (a good brewery from Michigan), and many other brands that you will be hard pressed to find without a trip to Northern Virginia. Finally, note that their selection is ever changing, so on a positive note there will usually be something new to try, but on a negative note, you might find your new favorite beer only to have it disappear the next time you visit. It's not perfect, but it's a refreshing change from the usual beers sold at supermarkets elsewhere.

Plus, he gets a kick out of filling from the old style pumps from before the pumps became gas dispensing ATM machines that play non-stop commercials. Parking is limited, but if you live in Wintergreen, Graves Market should be your go-to stop before you start up the mountain and check-in before you go because there is not a cell service at that location.
