‼‼CAUTION IF YOU BOOK WITH HER‼‼‼ This was, by far, the…read moreworst experience I've had with a photographer. And even worse making it my first newborns photoshoot. I booked a newborn photoshoot through her Facebook advertisement for a "discounted" rate of over $300. At no point before or during the session was I informed of a contract. Come to find out that the package only included 10 edited images. I only learned about this six minutes before I was asked to select my images from the full gallery. The contract was never provided before the session or before payment. I requested the contract twice once I found out about and still never got it until right before my photos were delivered. When I asked the first time, my message was completely ignored. Then I followed back up weeks later, this time I was told it would be sent the following week when she went back to work, but it never was. I had no problem promptly paying my invoice as soon as she sent it months before the photoshoot, also still doesn't mention a contract. When I asked her to send me where the context was sent, she wouldn't. After I questioned the limited gallery, she repeatedly claimed she had already sent the contract multiple times. However, electronic contracts include timestamps showing when they are sent, delivered, and opened. If the contract had actually been sent before the session, those records would exist. Instead of acknowledging the issue, she continued to insist it had been sent and became argumentative when I expressed my concerns. She expects you to ask or research her website for important limitations that she won't disclose on until after your photoshoot, and asking reasonable questions was met with rudeness instead of professionalism. I booked directly through her Facebook advertisement. Neither the advertisement nor the invoice disclosed these limitations or directed me to review additional terms on her website before booking. Customers should not be expected to search a website for important details that should have been clearly communicated from the beginning. The problem isn't the package itself--it's the lack of communication, transparency, and treating customers with no respect. I cannot recommend someone who withholds important information until after services are completed and then responds unprofessionally when customers ask legitimate questions.

It had NOTHING to do with your turnaround time. I responded this on Facebook. Actually... I didn't expect you to be working at 2 am! I sent you a very nice direct message at 8:49 a.m. to alert you that I had responded just to bring attention to it, as emails can get passed over (like you said...you have several to go through ‍) There was a deadline and I wanted my questions answered prior to that deadline...rightfully so. You did mention that I could cancel if I wanted to and I stated that I did not. I've never mentioned anything about your response time, so I'm not sure what expectations you are referring to. What I didn't like was your tone. I do think that it is unprofessional that you can not explain your contract. It worked out for the best, I should have read the Yelp reviews first!

Melissa is simply great! She not only switched around her schedule to accommodate me, she also checked in with me while I was in the hospital to make sure we were still on track with the picture time( newborn pics are usually taken within 2 weeks of the baby's birth). On the creative end she listened to my ideas and did her hardest to recreate my vision. I wanted lots of colors and a picture created with Diwali(festival of lights) theme in mind. Melissa did not the necessary research and even went to purchase several items to make things happen perfectly. During the day of the shoot she as quick, efficient and truly a baby whisperer. My baby slept through the entire shoot! Her studio is also perfect with the temperature adjust for the baby's comfort. She has diapers, breast pump, baby wipes, hand sanitizers, in short all essentials needed for new moms and babies. She also has a nook for snacks for the parents and outfit options for moms to wear at the shoot. I also got my pictures within 2 weeks which was amazing. Additionally, even after getting the pictures I was not happy with one particular picture and Melissa did her damnest to make it better including offering to retake the pic. Overall: I loved working with Melissa and will definitely keep going back to her for more professional pictures.
