I've worked with dozens of photographers over the years and they can tend to be fairly pretentious. They can act like they are God's gift to the earth with a lens. Not so with Christina. She's fun, has a very relatable and engaging personality, and yet is totally professional in her work. She has a vision for what she wants to capture but understands it's your image that will be captured and conveyed at the end of the day. She will come to the table with a lot of ideas but listen to incorporate your ideas so that you can work together to capture some amazing moments. Not only does the Someplace Wild team capture great moments, I believe they are the best in the business when it comes to their post and editing work. If you are one of those people that don't like to have your picture taken or are concerned about "your look", Christina and her team are going to make you look and feel like a million bucks. Most photographers, once they do great work and are discovered by more commercial clients, their rates go through the roof and they are hard to book. Do yourself a favor and book Christina and Someplace Wild before it's too late!

Wow. Just, wow!…read more After receiving my wedding photos on Sunday night, I couldn't have enough wonderful things to say about Sarah Trulove at Trulove Photography. If she's in your list of potential photographers, book her NOW! A little backstory: I was a month away from my wedding with no photographer. Beginning to panic, I turned to a friend of mine who is an event coordinator. That ended up being the best decision I made for my wedding, because she sent me to Sarah. A month out and she was perfectly willing to work with me to figure out my photography needs. Sarah is not only a true professional, she is friendly, has a wonderful attitude, and actually makes people feel comfortable in front of a camera! That is truly a gift. Beyond her incredible ability to make people feel at home and welcomed, she has a wonderful gift behind the lens. Our photographs are absolutely gorgeous. And, get this! She even worked with me to shoot some example photos that I had found online! That is something I couldn't have even expected. The last few days, since I sent people the photos, I have been getting emails/texts constantly about how beautiful they are! People are so excited to relive the day, and I can thank Sarah for capturing it perfectly. I am so glad that I found Sarah, and, I'm telling you, book her before it's too late! Thanks, Sarah!!

Melissa is simply great! She not only switched around her schedule to accommodate me, she also checked in with me while I was in the hospital to make sure we were still on track with the picture time( newborn pics are usually taken within 2 weeks of the baby's birth). On the creative end she listened to my ideas and did her hardest to recreate my vision. I wanted lots of colors and a picture created with Diwali(festival of lights) theme in mind. Melissa did not the necessary research and even went to purchase several items to make things happen perfectly. During the day of the shoot she as quick, efficient and truly a baby whisperer. My baby slept through the entire shoot! Her studio is also perfect with the temperature adjust for the baby's comfort. She has diapers, breast pump, baby wipes, hand sanitizers, in short all essentials needed for new moms and babies. She also has a nook for snacks for the parents and outfit options for moms to wear at the shoot. I also got my pictures within 2 weeks which was amazing. Additionally, even after getting the pictures I was not happy with one particular picture and Melissa did her damnest to make it better including offering to retake the pic. Overall: I loved working with Melissa and will definitely keep going back to her for more professional pictures.
