I purchased a Groupon for my Mom for Mother's Day. After many schedule conflicts and much patience WWE finally made today the day. No matter how many times I have called over the past month they have always remained so nice and helpful. It was more of that today. They were so accommodating throughout our session and before and after too! We had 2 toddlers and the photographer was so awesome. Not once did we feel rushed or pressured or undervalued. We were really pleased with the prints. I loved that we got to take the prints that day. They printed in 5 minutes. The grandma got so many good shots with the grand kids that we bought a package separate from the Groupon. The Groupon was an awesome value but we walked away with a 3-picture frame and a CD. I loved it from start to finish. Not sure what happened with all the bad Yelp reviews. Highly recommended. read more

We just had our first session for my son who is 16wks, it went very well. Meagan is so sweet and such a good photographer, I really wanted to leave this review because of her. I recently purchased a Groupon for our Ugly Xmas Sweater Family Pictures. I called Black Friday and was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. Our photographer, a youngster, snapped shots while we all laughed at the silliness of the session. Although it was a bit rushed, we did have fun as she quickly took us through various poses. The person that reviewed our photos/packages with us was not as nice as our photographer and seemed to have a slight attitude. While I wouldn't use Picture People for those special moments such as a newborn, I will come back for family pictures if using a Groupon. The quality was good for same day printing. read more

My review of Picture People below is negative when you read it. But you may wonder why I gave them 3 stars. You will find out below. So read on... First of all the lady named Samanthia B is extremely rude. The minute I got there I had some strange allergy attack and she could care less. She was snapping away as I was sneezing and barely smiling. She was rushing us through and finally just decided to leave and hand us over to her colleague because her shift was over. I was glad anyway because I was pissed at how we were being treated. Her colleague Hayley L, on the other hand was much nicer and much more professional. I give Hayley 2 thumbs up. I should have checked Groupon as supposedly they always have deals on groupon and everything is half off. If I knew the deal was active on Groupon, I would have spent only $100 total including 8 sheets of prints and a High Resolution CD. And my last and final complaint is as follows: The High Resolution CD. I asked Hayley how big the files were going to be. She said she didn't know the size of the files, but they were going to be large enough to create a large poster and pointed towards the large canvas on the wall. This CD only contains low resolution pictures enough to print 1.5"x2" pictures. I certainly hope this is a mistake?? Either way I have to drive all the way to Plano again to get this issue resolved. This is ridiculous. Hope they resolve my concerns for me and get me the real high resolution pictures at the same time. So to answer why three stars? Simply because the pictures actually turned out good. If I were to go back I would go back only if Hayley were to take our pictures, and only if there is a groupon deal present, and finally I would take my laptop there with me to double check the image size before I leave the store to avoid wasting my time (assuming they do provide me with a higher resolution image tomorrow!). read more

I purchased a Groupon and decided to have my baby's 1st birthday photos taken at the Plano location inside Buy Buy Baby. Our appointment was at 3:40 and, even though we showed up early, we did not get back in the (sweltering hot) studio until after 4. The photographer joined us at approximately 4:10, plopped down on the floor (where she remained) and began snapping photos. I understand it is nearly impossible to get a child this age to sit and smile on demand - which is the primary reason to use a professional photographer to capture the moments when she is smiling or doing something else cute. After 15 minutes of trying to keep my baby entertained and engaged, I suggested we place her on a bench, chair, stool, etc. to try and get a picture of here where she was actually still. The photographer stated she might fall off - although she is 13 months old and has been sitting since 5 months, AND the 8 month old in the session prior to ours was photographed sitting on a stool - and disregarded my request. When she finished the session, she advised me that I would need to wait another 20-30 minutes while she took photos of the people with the appointment after mine and then I could view the photos. I felt that for her to suggest this, after I sat with my child and waited while the people before me viewed their photos and made their selections, was too much to ask. In particular, I was amazed she would ask this because she was already running so late with us and the people waiting did not have any children with them. I told her my child would not last another 20-30 minutes and we would just have to come back at another time to view the photos. Her reply was "Well, I guess I will show them to you now then." In short, the pictures were not great, although I loved them all because my baby was in them. I chose a photo of her in her birthday tutu for my groupon package but I have better pictures of her from my own camera the day of the party. Despite a generous allotment I had set aside in my budget for additional pictures, I felt rushed, angry and disappointed and ultimately only chose 2 additional sheets of photos to which she stated "Oh, so you only want 2 sheets." Actually, I had planned to buy the CD I heard her describing to the people in the session before me but the photos simply were not worth it. Do not waste your time as I did. read more

My family of four spent hours buying clothes and getting ready for our picture session. It was freezing and icy outside but we made it anyways. We got there on time but they had camera problems, so there was a 1/2 hour delay. After our session, they informed us that all the photos were damaged and we had to come back another day to retake. they said they will call ASAP to set up another appointment. She specifically said she would call us as early as the next day. It's been 3 days, no calls, and our window of opportunity is quickly closing, as Christmas is coming and we were hoping to gift the photos. We felt that they wasted our time. They should have re-took our photo that same day, but instead they made us go home with nothing. We are terribly disappointed in this location, and it's our second and final time going back to this place. read more

I agree with the previous post. My family and I took pics yesterday they were not the best but we also had a groupon..The service was not the best and I don't feel we got the best deal. I think next time we will go elsewhere. read more

We recently had a photo session at picture people, that guy took nice pictures and then I brought a High Res CD. But when I checked CD, all images are about 1 to 2MB only instead of 4~10MB. They are FOOLING Customers by saying HIGH Res and not giving High Res even after taking Lot of Money. Customer Service via Website never responds and Store guys says contact customer service where there is no service. STAY AWAY from these guys. read more

I had a smiliar situation as the prior review. I bought a package through Buy With Me (similar to Groupon) and went to the location inside Buy Buy Baby in Plano. I had an appointment for 5:20PM and arrived a few minutes early so we would be ready. However, we waited almost an hour for our session to begin! The photographer was working alone with no help. Luckily, the family in the session prior to ours decided to come back later to look at their photos. Otherwise, I'm sure it would have been another 30 minutes before she got to us. Once our session began, there really was no choice in backgrounds or props. She had both my kids stand on the white background with little direction of what they needed to do. Very so-so pictures - nothing great. When it was time to preview our photographs, I felt so rushed to pick something quickly. There was little guidance as to options - I was shown the basic pictures with no enhancements or any extras. I was also prepared to buy additonal photographs but that was never offered - neither was the option to purchase the CD. So, I left with only the initial package I purchased. I will not be returning to this location. read more

I went to this picture people for my son's one month portraits and was in shock of how horrible the photographer was this time. I had used the same location for his newborn pictures and was very impressed and did not think twice about using them again. The photographer was brand new and did not have anyone helping her with posing my child or how to use the camera. She took HORRIBLE PICTURES and out of the 24 proofs only 1 was good. Now I know that a 1 month old isn't always the most cooperative but she gave up on posing him a lot and she missed a lot of great shots due to her inexperience. She did not correspond with me at all during the time of the shoot and was very awkward. On top of it her buttcrack was hanging out of her pants the whole time. Overall not happy with this visit. I will go back to the location because it is super convenient and I still have 2 groupons to this location plus the first visit was great. read more
