From the very first phone call, Billy was fantastic. Without even seeing the location, he mapped out 2 different, professional preliminary, layouts for tenting our yard including table placement for 80 guests. Then, he stopped by so he could get the exact measurements and do we could go over table placements to include a DJ stand and a cake table. The tent (with blowers) was fantastic as were his installation/break down crews. The tent, blowers, lighting, tables, chairs and linens were all supplied and delivered by Pico. Will definitely use again and refer out. read more

Placed an order for 12 gold Chiavari chairs and 24 coordinating white seat pads. The ordering process itself was fast, easy, and smooth, and David was very helpful throughout. However, when we picked up the order two days before our event, many of the chairs were wobbly and noticeably worn. My father, who handled the pickup, even requested replacements for several that were particularly unstable. While some wear is expected with rentals, I did anticipate the premium-style chairs to be in better condition. We had planned to double the cushions for additional seat height, which is why we ordered 24. Unfortunately, the cushions we received were marked up, came in two different styles with different ties, and when my father brought the order home, there were only 12 in the pickup. We even called around for alternatives, but this style of chair typically uses a Velcro-attached cushion, so outside options weren't compatible. We returned to the store to pick up the missing cushions, and thankfully we were able to exchange the mismatched ones for 24 matching burgundy cushions in much better condition. My mother mentioned that Darren was very helpful in resolving the issue with the seat pads, and we SO appreciated the effort to make things right! In the end, everything worked out, but the process was a bit stressful, and we did expect a higher quality product and smoother experience from a rental company. read more

Jonathan help me figure it out everything I need for my party. Great experience. Exceptional service. Great quality party supplies.

Love love love. I am a event planner and I have a client is a Designer who needed a mini pop up before her fashion show. She needed a clothing rack, so I was going to buy someone Amazon, but I wasn't sought on the reviews. I called party city for recommendations and they told me about pico party rentals. Allison Lara, is who assisted me from start to finish, and she was very helpful. She let me come in and see the clothing racks before even purchased them. I thought that was very nice of her. She showed me how to disassemble and assemble them back. The prices are very reasonable here and I got three clothing racks for about $25. And the taxes were less than $10. During the event, I had no issues with these clothing racks, and I will easily use them again and recommend. I really appreciated the assistance, and the quality of what was provided read more

We had a great experience, start to finish, in working with Pico Party Rents. We had to make changes to our order and they worked with us every step of the way. Communication was also very good. Would definitely use again. read more

Horrible with respect to communications. Flat out horrible. Most of the time your call goes to voicemail. You can leave a message, but don't count on them calling you back. The two hour pick up and delivery window turns into four with no notice. read more

We have been using Pico Party Rents for tables and folding chairs for a Block Party for years. Their rental equipment is always in good shape. We have also rented tablecloths and market umbrellas in the past. This year the all-in pricing was about $5.60 per person. Pico Party Rents delivers the order the day before the event and picks up everything the day after the event. Their pricing is reasonable and the delivery folks are efficient and courteous. Highly recommend. read more

With our wedding renewal coming up and with a venue that we are allowed to bring in our own vendors it was time we priced checked items our catering company may not be able to provided, linens, wine glasses, table runners, bar stools etc. Upon entry there was no receptionist down stairs but basically you are directed to go upstairs ( no elevator) and with me with my boot still on this was not an easy challenge for me. Once I made it upstairs they have a small but lovely display of all the things you need for your wedding & the prices where very decent. The only draw back is that we are having our reception on a Saturday and they do not do Sunday pick ups so we would actually have to take everything we rented with us either home or ask our venue if they can hold these items an extra day. I still have their price sheet because luckily they only need a few days notice to rent items since everything is right there in their warehouse which we could clearly see while walking around the showroom, the only reason we haven't rented from them (yet) is because they don't have my wedding color of Rose Gold and tried to convince to go peach. Still they have a beautiful selection of goods and so far the least expensive I've found rental wise. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I booked a large table and 12 chairs for Christmas. Everything was good until I had to pick the items up. My mom picked them up for me and when they got to my house the chairs smelled horrible and were extremely dirty. I cleaned each one but the smell of B.O and crayon were still present. I called the 23 and 24th all day no answer, no call back and not a response to any emails I sent. Needless to say I had to rent chairs else were and not use pico parties chairs. My turn in time was December 26th. My husband didn't have work that day luckily. We went to the location 5 times and no one was there I called again and emailed multiple times with no response. So on the 27th I called early spoke to Caren and said if someone could help me pick the item up since I'm only 10 minutes away as I had no way to take them back because my husband had to work. "She said oh yeah we were closed the 26th" and "no we would charge you to do a pick up it's not worth it " ugh I was so mad because of this ! The email response was just "please tell the person that unloads the table about the chair smell" needless to say I will never ever again rent from this place be ware of then !!! read more

My GO-TO party rental place! My dad actually referred me to Pico Party Rents since he used them for my mom's 50th birthday party at my house! Such a great place for rentals! I actually went to their location to place my order since I needed to look at their rentals to get a better picture of what I wanted for my party. I throw a "Friendsmas" annually and every year, I have to top the previous year. This year I actually wanted to throw a cute candlelight dinner for about 26-30 of my closest friends. I actually was inspired by one of their tables in their upstairs showroom. I got the garland from a black friday sale, but the tables, chairs, table covers, and napkins were all from Pico Party Rents. It is pricey, but everything came out so perfectly. Margarita was so helpful and my my table setting was so cute! She walked me through everything and even gave me a lot of options to choose from. I actually ordered all my rentals probably 1 week before my party (I was busy ok? haha) and they delivered. Billy also helped me out and kept me in the loop since my table covers were to be ordered and delivered the day of the party. I loved everything. Delivery was in the morning and pick-up was the next day. I would do my rentals from them from now on. My velour table covers were a hit! You get what you pay for and I loved everything! They are very busy, so if you can go to their showroom and do order, I would. It may be a little hard to get them on the phone, due to their popularity. But their rentals are great and I would recommend them to anyone! read more

10000% would recommend Pico Party for all event rental services. From the beginning, Billy and his team worked closely with my family and I to thoughtfully plan out and provide all rentals for my 120-person Malibu wedding. Not only did they conduct themselves with extreme professionalism and expertise from Day 1, they pulled everything off seamlessly. It was as if it was their own wedding. Never did we lose confidence in them, and we always felt like we were a priority. Pico Party collaborated with us as we explored custom pool covers, lighting design/set-up, tables, chairs, and all catering needs. They know what they're doing and are definitely a great find!! read more

If I could give these people 10 stars I would. They performed beyond my expectations. I kept changing the order and my staffer, Adriana, never lost patience with me. Each time she would send me an updated invoice with the additions or subtracted items. The delivery was right on time and the workers went right to work, carrying in the tables and chairs, stringing 50 ft of lights in the back yard, and setting up a flood light to light the patio at night. If I had one thing to say, it would be that it would have been nice if they had set up the chairs at the tables. The head guy told me they don't set up chairs. The wooden chairs were heavy and it was a bit tedious setting them all up. Later I had the thought that maybe if I had offered him a little tip, they would have done that. But other than that everything was spiffy. My party was on a Sunday. They don't work Sunday so everything was delivered Saturday afternoon, and they were absolutely prompt on picking everything up Monday late morning. they whirled through the back yard and pretty soon you would never have known there was a party with 40 people the night before. Everything was great, right down to he 45 cup coffee maker. Would never use anyone else. read more

We reached out regarding a quote for our non-profit event. We are all volunteer led trying to put together an event for kids given the pandemic which couldn't happen at school. The event itself is free to the public. The person was helpful over the phone helping identify anything. What surprised me is since our event is on a Sunday, they charge a special fee of $500 for loading in and $500 for loading out which is more than the cost of the furniture we are trying to rent. So wanted everyone to be aware of this before you even spend the time asking read more

I cannot even put into words how incredible Pico Party Rentals and Darren are. He made our wedding dreams come true. He is an absolute magician. We knew we wanted to get married in our friend's backyard but had no idea how we could turn it into a beautiful wedding venue. Until we met Darren. He covered their enormous pool with the most gorgeous plexiglass and turf making it a one of a kind dance floor and party area. He strung lights thoroughout the backyard making it incredibly romantic. All of his rentals are top notch and classy. But more than anything Darren and his team turned our dreams into an actual reality and made our wedding the best day of our lives. We never had to worry that things were being done professionally, timely, and the right way. Darren is an absolute class act and we would work with him again a million times over. read more

One of my worst qualities: procrastination. A great solution to this vice: excellent services that are ready to help you at the last minute. Having very little experience with party rental services, I didn't have much hope that I'd be able to get all of my party supplies the evening before the event. Luckily, I stumbled across Pico Party Rents, which was happy to assist me just in the nick of time. I called in my order and I'm pretty sure I must have been the most annoying caller they had that day. I didn't have the rates in front of me, I kept changing my mind about what I wanted, and to make things worse I was in a shuttle going to the airport and was completely out of it. I hate people like me! The girl on the phone was super helpful and walked me through everything I needed and gave me a quote. At first I balked at the prices and then I realized it included a $100 deposit that would be returned to me once I returned the goods. She also worked with me to find the cheapest option for what I needed, which I thought was going beyond the call of duty. The only thing that would have made it better was if they delivered on Sundays. But once I found a car big enough to carry all my loot, the guys in the warehouse were very helpful in fitting it all in there. Now I'm all set for my last minute party, thanks to Pico Party Rents! read more

My daughter got married in my friends backyard and we had to cover the pool for the dance floor. My friends were very nervous about that until Darren came over and explained exactly how it was going to be done and totally put their mind at ease. I cannot recommend Darren high enough. He was always smiling and answered any questions we had and the end result was magical. Thank you Darren for making this day everything my daughter and her husband imagined. read more

My review is long overdue as we have been loyal Pico Party rental clients. We have worked with Darren and his crew for most of our birthday parties (among others) , starting when the kids were 3 years (they are now 14). Last night, we had our first bday party outside of our residence. It meant dealing with venue rental people and other variables can affect the outcome of an event. I could not ask for a better vendor to work with. Pico's rates are competitive, but I go back to them as I know they can be trusted. Darren's family has owned this business for decades. He worked with me with the budget, which is always important. Most of all, I find that Darren is genuinely nice and helpful and wants the party to be a success. He also is an A+ communicator - emails or calls do not go unanswered. And he gets things done, should it be pick up / drop off conflicts to adding items at the last minute. Pico party rents is my first choice. It should be yours too! read more

Sorry, The service was horrible. I called at 10 am and was told they are too busy to speak with me about rentals for my engagement party. which would have been close to $700. I was told it would take around 30 minutes for a call back. No call. So I called 45 minutes later. They said they are still busy and will call as soon as possible. It's 3 PM and I explained the situation... i got forwarded to a voicemail. Thanks for wasting my time. Taking my business elsewhere read more

Wow...just got hung up on over the phone while asking about their pricing. Since placing an order for their stages is not available online, I made a phone call to place the order. I was informed of a $95 delivery fee...which I was okay with. But as the employee speaking with me told me that it would cost another $150 to request a delivery window (which is standard at other companies), I asked for clarification that it would be $150 on top of the $95 local delivery, and after she verified, I expressed that I was a little surprised. Then she hung up. I was still going to allow myself to be sold to, but not after that. Going somewhere else. read more

Don't use this company: Pico Party Rents tried to add a $250 fee to my order the day before delivery, that they claimed was due to the delivery time. Previous to this communication, I had 2 calls, 3 emails, and input the original online request form with all delivery information, and received a quote that Pico Party Rents would not honor. I was disappointed when speaking with the manager Bill that he did not express any concern or apologies when I attempted to discuss and rectify the matter, especially since I was a repeat customer. With so many rental companies available, I encourage you to find a more reputable business with better customer service for your party planning needs. read more

Billy and his team were so amazing! I don't know how many times we changed the rentals and they never complained about redoing the contract. Billy gladly came out and looked at my backyard and helped me determine what size pool cover I would need and worked with my budget. We ended up renting the pool cover, salad and dinner plates, tables, chairs, napkins, and lounge furniture for my backyard birthday. We needed to transform the backyard to look very elegant and all the rentals helped do just that!! They arrived a few days before the event to set everything up and came back a couple days after to pick it up. Some places want to get their stuff back the next morning, but thankfully, Billy gave us a couple days. We had to recuperate from the party! The pool cover was amazing!!! My guest were completely blown away. The tables and chairs were perfect and they even set it so nothing moved since my backyard isn't exactly leveled. Truly first class service!! I will absolutely use Pico again. I had shopped around and they were the best!! read more

Wow. This place is AWFUL!! My brother hired Pico Party Rents for his wedding last weekend and even paid them an extra $500 to pick up their equipment that same night. Not only did the owner of this company disrespect my father who he refers to as "The Old Man", he also calls out my brother to cuss him out IN THE MIDDLE OF HIS OWN WEDDING while guests are still there. All because of a dolly that he let our family use for the evening. The wedding wasn't even over yet and the owner was being disruptive and ridiculous. This company is rude, unorganized, and unprofessional. I DO NOT recommend their service to anyone, especially a wedding where it's supposed to be a joyous occasion. read more

Even though I emailed instead of called, my order was processed in a timely manner and when I finally did speak to someone on the phone to confirm the order, Evelyn was a peach, as was everyone else I happened to communicate with for this one order. I've never rented a generator before but it was easy as 1,2,3. I ordered it, paid for it, they delivered it, set it up, and then came and picked it up from a different location the next day. And that's how rentals are done, folks. read more

I have known and worked with with Bill for years and was always given top notch service. Since Pico moved I have not used them as much, however I used them over the holiday season to rent a bed for an out of town guest. The mattress is covered with heavy plastic (NO BED BUGS) and it appeared to be very clean, however I sanitized it for safety reasons(can't take any chances, after all it is a rented bed). The bed frame is strong and looks new and does not scratch your floor and the guest said it is comfortable for a short term stay, I ordered a twin size and the twin size sheets fit perfect. The cost is reasonable, it rents by the week and you may pick it up (the bed fits inside a SUV or pickup truck, delivery is 95.00, I suggest you put the bed on hold because they are one of the few party rental companies that still rent roll away beds. They have their own parking lot and they accept all major credit cards. One common denominator that I've observed in successful businesses is efficiency and competence. Pico Party has both mad efficiency and a competence that can only be gained from doing rentals right at a high volume for a long time. Finding myself last week faced with not having enough seats, silverware and places to sit at for a dinner, I used the nifty interweb yelp tool to find a local rental spot that could be the resource. At first I thought my order would be too small for a large rental operation, but they just have a $15 minimum on pick-up orders. I found their prices reasonable, their service professional and efficient. There were zero hidden costs and my order total came to exactly what calculations were. Upon return, my rented items quickly disappeared out of the truck from multiple employees who said nothing, but seemed to know what they were doing and doing it all for efficiency. I would highly recommend them. read more

I hosted a little party at my house and at the last minute decided I really didn't have enough seating and champagne glasses for everyone. So, I called Pico Party Rentals. I've never rented anything for an event before and had no idea how this worked and how expensive it would be. They were really nice on the phone and said I could either place an order on the phone or come down to their store and take a look at some options. I went to the store, where a very helpful salesperson walked me through the different kinds of tables, chairs, linens and glassware that were available. I selected everything that I needed pretty quickly and was on my way. Since I didn't rent a ton of stuff, I elected to pick it up instead of having it delivered. It saves a little money, which is nice. Pickup and return were both very easy-- the warehouse is directly behind the storefront on Fairfax. This was all such a pleasant experience that I wonder why I never considered renting party supplies before. I would definitely do it again and will definitely rent from Pico Party next time. read more

Rented two round 48" tables and 12 chairs for a dinner party at my place. Pico Party Rentals is a fantastic party rental service. With the wonderful help of Billy and his hardworking crew we were able to execute a near perfect backyard wedding reception for 160+ people. With Billy's patience and assistance in figuring out our table configuration and layout we were able to make what once seemed the impossible --possible. Billy came out to my parents home multiple times to assist us in configuring our event site, making great suggestions, asking all of the right questions, and even left samples of items for us to have on hand during our preparations. Another rental service that will go unnamed scoffed at me on the phone when I requested to have our site surveyed, stating that they only do that type of thing for "large" events. Though our event was a modest affair in comparison to the larger events Pico Rentals takes on, Billy attended to us as if we were the largest and most important event on his calendar. This kind of service is so rare in today's world, and really demonstrated to us what a wonderful company Pico is to do business with. Call Pico if you are having an event.
