It's the smallest county seat in the country? The cabin was amazing and comfy- super quaint and clean inside. They also have an awesome bar on site if you'd like to head down into the "bunker bar" for a drink. I'm pretty sure everyone from the whole town was in the bar. Friendly folks no complaints. Saw the prettiest sunset of my life right there at their spot among the grasslands.

Don't even. Cold rainy day And thought we would push through for an extra hour drive to stay here…read more Knew we would be getting in close to, if not after dark. Owner gave us the spot number and said to call if issues. Got there after dark. Super SUPER small. Rvs that were there we're practically on top of each other. There was someone in the spot that had been assigned to us so we called the owner. No answer. Waited and called again. No answer. It looked like there was ONE other spot open but hard to tell so we called one more time and still no answer. (We had left a message each time we called.) by this time we had no choice, in the dark, in the cold, in the rain, to drive BACK an hour to the closest rv park. Finally after OVER 45 minutes since we had FIRST called, the owner called us back and said someone had parked in our spot but we could have taken "any other spot"... any other spot? You mean the ONE spot that appeared to be open but how were we to know someone else wasn't going to show up and find us in their spot?? Great way to NOT run a business, not to mention the danger of us driving down dark backroads for an hour in the rain to get back to the nearest well lit, well maintained, well run rv park. Funny because even though we had called that rv park after hours in our haste to find a place to stay for the night, someone answered right away and went through their reservations to find us an open spot and arrange for us to have a place. in a nutshell, Abidon was a joke. Stay away.

Had to switch rooms twice from either heat or ac not working, sinks not working, plumbing backing up. My door didn't latch and couldn't lock. They advertise a free breakfast but then denied it because I was staying longer than a week. I had to replace my own bulbs. The shower was fixed with duct tap for gods sake. This is seriously a dump. To top it off the customer service is horrendous. I was kicked out of the lobby for being there too long even though I was buying coffee and pie. Never mind the fact the lobby is one of the few places that the shoddy internet they have actually stays connected. Seriously this place does not deserve your business. Just no.

The staff are rude and WILL NOT cooperate with the customers! This motel is one of the worst I have ever been to and as of today I will never have to stay at this nasty place again. We have had a 8 hr notes telling us we did not have a place to stay for the night when were told the date without a room was 4 days later. We had everything we travel with in this room and working 7 12s. Not to mention we paid this week on Wednesday and we got a camper so we asked for refund for the next THREE nights we paid for and guess what the rude obnoxious manger told us? We would only get $37.00 back!!! That's all and that's not even the icing on the cake yet y'all! She hung up on me twice after I was trying to explain to her that it wasn't correct and what not. I had to stop and investigate. "As fantastically beautiful a place as I have ever seen," said one of its first tourists in the late 1800s, a young rancher named Teddy Roosevelt. And there's a guy who knows beautiful places. The park is self-service with envelopes at the entrance where you're expected to fill out your details and put the entrance fee into a lockbox. As much as I was tempted to explore, I knew that I had a busy day of driving ahead. As well, I was alone and there's no cell service out here so if something happened, it might be a while for help to come through. So I took some pictures at the entrance and then a few more from the road and moved on. There's a very helpful spring at the entrance. The water tasted crystal clear.
