We've never been to Bowman, ND as this was my first trip to North Dakota. My husband then reserved the room under his name directly through Bowman Lodges website. For some reason, his card declined, so he called the property and Laura confirmed our reservation and said we could just pay upon arrival. A few minutes later, someone ran our card again and it went through. 4 minutes after that, Laura called and told my husband that he's also on the "do not rent to list" My husband has also never been to North Dakota. The fact that they charged us only to inform us a few minutes later they were refusing to rent us a room, smells like fraud to me. After we got to town, my husband went inside the hotel to ask for his money back and the front desk clerk called the police on him! Not sure what shenanigans this place is up to, but, probably best to watch for fraudulent charges from here.

Not Bowman Lodge. It's clean and has signs all over mentioning sanitizing for covid. The service is very friendly, and the room was spacious and nice. The lodge is pretty and there's a free continental breakfast. If you're on your way to Medora/Theodore Roosevelt National Park and not going to make it all the way, this is a great spot to rest for the night.

( Super clean, and patient people. ) I had two dachshunds that wouldn't stop barking every once in a while, I feel bad that they had to listen to that. But, they opened it early for all of us since we had to get to the race site by then. They also allowed all of us to check out late since we wouldn't get back to our room and showered up by their normal time. They were just very kind and willing to work with us. The manager there was super nice and all the staff I spoke to was friendly as well. This is how hotel service is supposed to be.

The first thing i thought when i walked in was "i'm gonna get bed bugs" My advice: Don't hire someone that's not gonna work and do their job properly. Instead, we had a phone number to call and have someone stop by the front desk to get us checked in. The room is nice. There's even a little "kitchen" area. I liked the knight accents, but felt like it needed a little more. My favorite part was the gymnasium, where you could throw some basketballs around. If you are looking for food, go down the street. They shouldn't even be serving food with the quality I received. I ordered the fish basket, and I'm not sure if it was the breading or the fish, but it tasted completely of mold and I couldn't eat it. My sister had the prime rib, which was completely raw on the inside, and a lot of it was fat. Her corn was hard and cold and just gross. I don't know why we had any hope for the dessert, but we ordered the raspberry cheesecake, and it was disgusting. First, it wasn't even cold, and second, it was hard. Do not eat here. And the service is so slow. I get it, it's a small town, but two hours for a meal is way too long. All in all, the room was nice, but save your money and eat at the other restaurant down the road.

I mentioned it to the clerk when checking out and another employee piped up to add that she had reported the issue to "Melissa" 2 weeks previously. The room had a decent size fridge, a stove, microwave, and a dishwasher but I only used the fridge. Be aware that because of the appliances, there is a lot of ambient light - bring your eye shade to sleep if you like it dark. I found the bed to be comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was good and there was plenty of hot water. I didn't visit the pool or spa, so can't comment on those. There are 8 or 9 selections for the complementary breakfast. The breakfast biscuit was quite good if you like sausage and it had a real egg. There's a small store in the lobby with some hand made items, kitchen supplies, and some snacks.
