I got a quote from a tree service I'd used before and checked Diego's on a friend's recommendation. It took a couple of calls to get in touch because they were busy, but patience paid off. The other guys: "This looks bad, it's an old tree, and we'll have to do a lot of difficult work. It'll take a day, maybe two. (Thinks some more.) And to reach those limbs over your house, we'll need to bring in a cherry picker. That's gonna cost a lot." Gives me a quote that's almost a third of the cost to remove the tree. Diego's: "Sure, we can do this! What do you want done? (Makes sensible recommendations and says, matter of factly:) We can do it tomorrow and will bring in a cherry picker. We don't want to damage your lawn, so are you ok with us putting plywood down to protect it?" Gives me a quote that's hundreds of dollars lower. They arrived on schedule and did the job within a day, leaving the yard in good condition and taking the cut wood with them. The service was first class, prompt and efficient. I was impressed with all of the equipment he utilizes that was really first class. The crew he has were very knowledgeable, courteous and very efficient. They did everything as promised working in tight quarters. He handled communications with the power company who disconnected power lines blocking access to the trees and then promptly hooked the power lines back up after the trees were removed.
