She went to the deli counter and a young man rang a bell to get the attention of the deli clerk that they had a customer. Out walked a young Hispanic male with dark curly hair and he said, "Can I help you sir?" He was polite at least and my mom got hurt, but she was just gonna move on l. Yes she has short hair, but she was dressed as a typical senior citizen female. She replied with a curt, "I am a woman." To which the young man proceeds to laugh in her face and kept laughing. She was devastated. She walked away, purchased some milk, left the store with my niece and nephew and proceeded to cry in her car. She calmed down, collected herself, and went home. She told my sisters and one of them called and complained to the manager on duty. He was all apologies and said he would look into it. Whether he does or not, I really don't care because my family is no longer going to be going to Key Food again. Maybe that's harsh or an overreaction, but all we can do is withhold our business and hope that they are more aware of the caliber of people they hire in the future.
