If you want to skip the details, I'll say I up front recommend them and you should reach out if you need them. Our water line broke as we're in the process of selling a house -- great timing, right?! Aside from the bad timing, the fact of the matter was we needed someone out as soon as possible, but we wanted it done right. I had a few companies that were referred to us, and honestly I got some bad vibes... super low bids, lack of confidence in their ability to get it fixed, etc. Austin from Pierpoint was sort of my last hope as we needed to commit to somebody, and I appreciated their calm demeanor, fair quote, and ability to get it done. Another plumber I had out was too busy to do it, but I mentioned Pierpoint and he said, "Oh yeah, they're a good one to go with." I was able to communicate with them on project updates as we had to stay at the in-laws for a week and a half. They got all the proper permits, made sure the new meter went in the right spot and had it inspected with the city... all in all, I was confident they would do it the right way and they did. They ran into some obstacles which drove the bid up higher, which stinks, but I understand because there's no way of knowing what they might find when they dig, i.e. gigantic old stones in the driveway. I do feel like the crew's overall cleanup could've been better as our basement walls were covered in caked-on mud, as is the floor, and the driveway and neighbors house needed some more attention. However, I round up on my rating because they were there in a big way when an additional water line broke late at night on a weekend, basically a portion of the old city water line. The city water would've gone directly into my house, i.e. flooded the hell out of it in no time. Austin and someone on his crew had a generator ready to bilge water out of the trench, keeping my basement dry while they waited for the city to fix their issue. If you've ever waited on the city of KCMO, even on the phone, you know what a task that is... and this was on a weekend at night! I really appreciate them being there for that and handling it. All in all, I felt seriously at peace after meeting with them compared to the five other groups I had out to bid on it, and they backed that up. Glad to be done with it!

They were able to quickly come out - even during a hectic, busy season with lots of homes experiencing frozen pipes. I got a text before the plumber came with the name of the employee who would be coming which was nice. Don showed up on time and patiently explained what he discovered was the issue to my husband who was out of town and on speaker phone. Don was able to fix the issue , and ensured that our major faucet (kitchen) was working before he left , even though this wasn't the faucet that had been repaired. On top of a great job with fair prices , Don was polite, funny and helped ensured all baby gates were closed when going from upstairs/ downstairs several time to keep my toddler safe. While I can't fault their plumbing work - it was efficient and professional - the bathroom remodeling aspect left a lot to be desired. **Plumbing Pros:** * **Fast and Skilled:** Superior Plumbing and Gas handled the plumbing aspects of the remodel quickly and competently. There were no leaks or issues after the job was completed. **Remodeling Cons:** * **Structural Oversights:** During the remodel, it became clear that the crew wasn't as knowledgeable about anticipating potential shower door options and leaving us, the customer options" to put in different kind of shower doors. They should have let us know that the wall was not strait and had a half inch off set between the bottom measurement openings and the top. Although that seems coming issue with bathrooms, we probably could have solve that issue with some minor backboard corrections. * **Waterproofing Concerns:** I had to be quite involved in ensuring proper waterproofing techniques were used for the shower, which will be tiled. While the final tilework looked great aesthetically, there were inconsistencies in the level of the tiles themselves. They did not use not enough self leveling in the right place. "Taking short cuts again" **Overall:** If you need a plumber for your bathroom project, Superior Plumbing and Gas is a good option. However, for a full-fledged bathroom remodel, I would recommend going with a company that specializes in renovations and can advise on best practices for shower construction and waterproofing. While the final product looked nice superficially, the potential for future problems due to shortcuts is concerning.
