Was excited to check this unique spot out after seeing it posted by an influencer on IG. It's a little hard to find, but we managed to locate it past some railroad tracks and near an overpass. Walking in...it was quite overwhelming...there's a lotta stuff lol. Mostly organized, you'll find some cool finds- vintage hardware, antique furniture, vintage home goods, metals, old doors, tubs, garden items, you name it! Take your time perusing the place, you'll never know what you might find! They also rescue local cats and all are up for adoption! Most are fixed and have their rabies shots. Also, leashed was a super sweet dog up for adoption. They've been fostering her for 2 years. Please consider....each one of them, needs a good home! I was able to find a cool tall metal stand that I will use as a base for a bird bath. Some items are priced, but the owner is easily accessible and able to price or answer any of your questions. We met Kirt H., the owner, super friendly and knowledgeable. In the business for quite some time, most items come from home demolitions or were purchased on special trips they made along the way. This place was a little hard to find, google map didn't map correctly but i looked at the map and it was just around the corner. Location is under the highway overpass/bridge. Upon entering it can feel quite overwhelming because there is A LOT of stuff but as you take each aisle you realize it is quite organized. Definitely unique finds, old items, a lot of choices for antiques. They also have a room where they rehome cats, which seemed odd but I appreciate that they are trying to help these cats find homes. Most of the prices that I saw seemed reasonable, but not everything was marked. Parking is odd because you are parking under the bridge between the street with cars going in each direction. We had a chance to speak to the owner, Kirt, he was nice and gave us a lot of background on the store. If you're looking for something old, eclectic or unique check this place out! read more

Wowza! If you're a picker THIS is your paradise. My main takeaway from here is all the beautiful character items in a home can be found here. They have a large selection of wooden doors which really excited me because I've been thinking of adding 2 pocket doorways in my home. I'll definitely be getting my doors here and doing some refurbishing. They have a nice enough selection of stained glass windows. Lots of those crystal style door knobs at a way better price than a snooty antique hardware store. In the back they had tons of wood planks. Really great if you're looking for flooring and reclaimed wood. So much more I'm not mentioning. But look around and you'll definitely bump into something that you didn't know you'd love to have. They weren't open during their posted business hours, and there was no sign on the door. I later learned they had updated their closure on Google, but that's easy to miss if you're already on your way. The space itself is large and packed with a lot of inventory. However, it felt dirty, dusty, and disorganized overall. The exception was the doors--they were well organized by size, style, and function. That said, the pricing on the doors was extremely high for what was offered. On a positive note, the staff were very helpful and courteous. Overall, I'd consider this a last-resort stop--after checking Facebook Marketplace or local estate sales--if you still haven't found what you need. read more

If you want the experience of being on an episode of American Pickers this is the place for you. I didn't know we were coming here as it was a last minute addition to our date. Ah, at last my husband and I have reached an agreement that new hardware for a dress I was restoring was needed or a replacement for the one piece that was broken would need to be found. There was so much stuff! The lady that works there is so knowledgeable and took one look of the piece of hardware from my dresser and was able to let us know that she didn't have that particular piece. She was nice and showed us where all the hardware and knobs were located and we started to, well pick through all of the different options. My husband and I talked about all of the different options we had finally decided on a set of 4 we found. In terms of value, some of the pieces in my opinion are priceless as it's hard to find 50's hardware/knobs and I opted to not be at the register when my husband paid for it, bit he said they were a good price. While I was there I saw some super interesting pieces like the bell in the picture. I am still thinking about a project that will require said bell and hope that it will still be there once I plan something out. On a separate note: if you don't want to get your hands dirty while picked as it is very dusty going through all of the items bring gloves. read more

Loved all the stuff taken from homes being torn down. The couple who run it are very nice and helpful. They have an amazing assortment of old doors. I found a 5-panel one for $80 and had it sanded, painted on one side and stained on the other side. It was done to match the linen cabinet that he installed. Then, I had the top panel removed and replaced it and a fabulous frosted glass from The Glass Gurú on Reindeer Trail. They also cut and installed a beautiful glass panel in my remodeled bathroom. Very cool to browse through.I found some tear drop prisms i have been needing a few of to finish a restoration but when I got to the register the lady asked if they were mine or if I was buying them. Being an honest person I clarified I was buying them and asked the price. She stated they don't sell them, they save them for the chandeliers they hang up. I asked why they had been on the floor with other items to browse and buy, she stated she had just washed them and that is why they were out there. She had personally just washed them yet she had to rely on my honesty to know if I was selling them or buying them. It just gave a weird vibe and I don't think I'll return. Very cool shop just be warned you may find the thing you were aiming for or an unexpected treasure only to be told it isn't for sale. Happy picking!! read more

Doors, windows, wood, wrought iron, hardware, fixtures. They even have some household items and old tools. The owners are friendly and helpful with a good understanding what they have in stock, so if you are having trouble locating something particular, they will probably know if they have it or not. Visited to pick up some antique/kitschy items to use in my photography. The selection is overwhelming, ranging from old medicinal remedy bottles to silverware to tools. A great stop of you're just into seeing what you can find or fixing up an old house. Tons of antique drawer pulls and wood legs, plaths, drawer fronts and doors. I didn't find the workers to be helpful at all, although the woman who I paid was nice once I was ready to check out. Only certain people were greeted warmly and offered assistance and I didn't fill those categories. For my fellow parents- this is not a place to bring your kids, even in a stroller or in a sling. There a are no clear aisles and things are perched more precariously all around that the photos imply. I was nervous I was going to bump into something and send stuff crashing. Unlike some antique shops, these items haven't been restored. Most would need a lot of work to be functional or attractive, while some item's charm lay in their "rustic" look. Price-wise, items ranged from $.25 to well over a hundred. Most old kitchenware was in the $5-25 range. Wood is priced by the foot. I brought cash, I'm not sure if they take credit cards as I didn't see any sort of POS/Square or anything. This is located in an older part of town, so you will need to street park on the side. No parking lot of any kind that I could see. Overall a cool place to check out if you have some time to really look around. read more

So this place is pretty cool, if you're looking for real antique items, this is the place. I'm giving a one star review in hopes the owner will see this. The store is cluttered to say the least. The items are some what organized chaos kinda way, but it's a lot to take in all at once. What I think would help is if they would lower thier prices to a more realistic price for what they are selling. Let me explain, most of their items are OLD. They would need a lot of money to make them functional, or even working condition. Then there's things that are more along the lines of being novelty old. Meaning there's no amount of money that will ever make then functional. They will just be a old focal pieces that's to be admired, and that's it. I went in for an old front door, glass door knobs, some vanity lights, sand possibly a chandelier or two. I found some of the items I was looking for, but wouldn't pay those prices even if I had unlimited budget. The doors were so rotted and broken that there's no saving them, and they are still asking over $100 dollars for them. If you find one that could potentially be saved, they are priced over $500, the glass knobs are $15 just for one knob. Not the full mechanism, just a knob. So I found 2 matching, and 2 old scutchings, it came out to $100. For one set! It's was unbelievable! This place could be so much better if they would just lower their prices. They could sell the majority of their stock, so their store would be less cluttered. In my opinion, if I owned a shop like this, and wasn't moving my merchandise, I would take a hard look at why. I guarantee it's the prices. Hopefully the owner will see this and reevaluate what's more important, having a huge stock pile of junk, or actually make money? Just wanted to help those who are considering shopping here to know what you're walking into. read more

I called to find out if they bought old wooden doors with all the hardware and what the process is at about 12:30 or 1pm. I spoke with the owner, he informed me what I needed to do. So I took pictures and sent them to him with the expectation that he would take a look and see if he was interested. I didn't want to call anyone else until I heard from him as that seems kinda shady to me. At 4:15pm fifteen minutes after they closed and with no time left in the day to contact any other salvage company, he sent one word "Pass". Cool, you don't want the door, windows or screens, but since you didn't put any thought into your reply, like, at all, maybe you could have let me know a few hours before everyone else closes? No explanation at all, and when I let him know how unprofessional I think that is, he didn't even bother to address my complaint. What a jerk. Judging by the state of this dirty gross warehouse and the shape of the inventory he does have, maybe my trash was too nice for him. I would rather support a business that has respect for their customers. read more

If you haven't been by Pickers Paradise on Fred Rd. near 5 Points, you're missing out. A contractor that was flipping a house near me turned me onto this place, so I stopped by to look for a door. What I found was so much more. It's one of those places that you need to hit often, and the inventory is constantly turning. Redoing an old house? Yep they have the stuff you need from drawer pulls to door knobs to windows and doors. Flooring? Yep. Other assorted cool stuff, oh yeah. They have that too. My door shopping turned into a rocking chair and Pearl Beer sign. Both are awesome pieces. The owners (at least I think they own it) are really nice folk that will take the time to help you wade through the inventory. And yes, wade is the correct phrase here. It's all over the place, and either you have to search, or they know where it might be. If you know what you're looking for that is. I say check it out, you won't be let down.
