Eye Studio aka Eye Studio Arts, LLC, offers art & cooking classes for developmentally disabled…read morepeople (among others) which is a great service to provide as cooking is a necessary life-skill- however the deplorable food storage conditions I witnessed firsthand along with the absence of any visible sanitary standards is abominable. The owner's dog is allowed to roam free in the kitchen near food which is a contaminant, and combined with the lack of formal sanitary procedures can easily lead to a food-borne illness outbreak which can range in seriousness from mild to fatal. Students prepare meals and take them home in containers to feed themselves and their families, yet they told me they don't need to worry about Dept of Health requirements because they do not 'sell food.' I would not allow my child or myself to risk my health by eating any food prepared in their kitchen. There is a ServSafe certification posted on the wall, but I witnessed none of the requirements being adhered to and yes- I am qualified to access. It's just a piece of worthless paper if you don't follow the protocol! Any entity that provides funding, donations, or the like to Eye Arts Studio, LLC - and any parent that unknowingly sends their child to a cooking class at this mosh pit of bacteria should take note and investigate accordingly. They are either unprepared or unwilling to undertake the necessary sanitary standards required to provide food in any way to the public. As a side note- the owner exhibited a flash temper several times in my presence complete with yelling and the use of profanity towards staff which is appalling, demoralizing, and completely unacceptable in the workplace. I hoped this behavior was a one-time occurrence, but sadly, it was not.

The school administration and handling of families, schedules and financial accounts warrant 0 stars. Be very wary of what classes you sign up for, as they may arbitrarily change the class timing, and keep your entire payment, regardless of whether you attend a class. We had signed up for the Summer Creative Movement class which was scheduled for Wednesday 5:45 - 6:30pm. After the sign up process was done, the timing for the Summer class was arbitrarily changed to a later evening time which we could not attend. Given that the new timing for the class was not one that we could attend, we had to withdraw from the class. We were provided an email note stating that our account would carry a credit of $70 at the time. After about 3 months of following up by email and phone, they have refused to return our monies for the class that we physically could not attend. There should have been an exception made in this scenario as the change in class time was completely beyond our control. However, they've refused to provide a fair resolution to the matter. My recommendation, stay away. There are plenty of dance studios to choose from and this in one that I will not be recommending to friends or family.

The nurturing environment teaches the students not only how to dance, but to become an artist. I personally cannot express how much I have learned from the staff at this studio. I have gotten into NYSSSA (New York State Summer School of the Arts) and without the guidance of the amazing teachers, I would never be where I am today. This school teaches many lessons to benefit the dancer inside and outside of the studio. If you are looking for a nurturing learning environment to bring out the inner dancer and artist, this is the best place!

It was such a warm welcome the moment we enter into the Science, in which the event was held. The staff was very informative about what went on during the school year, including Parent involvement. There were so many PROUD students walking across the stage(If you will) receiving CERTFICATE for all the hard they placed into 2 semesters. There was plenty of food, drinks, sweets and cakes and much more. We had the chance to see what they were doing in the Lobby on computers, showing off there work as well for 20 minutes. This is a Program that offers literally free learning, for HIGHER TECH EDUCATION. We love what YOU guys have done for us as whole family in learning Coding and other high tech skills; through our son. Keep up the AWESOME work. The WORLD needs to know ABOUT this experience.
