Good - This location in particular in Fort Wayne, exceeded my expectations as far as organization of the vehicles and the amount of "parts" you can "pick" from. Bad - Upon arriving to checkout the very few parts my father and I managed to retrieve; we were introduced with their system having inaccurate information, as they proceeded charged us for different parts for different vehicles making the prices skyrocket. I went to the fort wayne lkq today. The Hispanic lady was trying to charge me for things I didn't buy, I said can I talk to the manager please. She says hey Tracy this fucking idiot trying to tell me how todo my job. The manager didn't correct her at all. That's not how you treat customers. While searching our tool box the guy dumped tools everywhere didn't even say sorry just walked away and prices are outrageous

My wife's mirror got hit through the night one night so went to get a replacement. Didn't care for the fee to get in the yard but it was not to expensive how ever one of the workers there went way above and beyond to help me. There was only 1 car on the lot that had a matching mirror to what I needed but the car was sitting in about a foot of rain water. This guy was nice enough to go in the water and pull the mirror for me. I'm terrible with names but his was only a couple initials. Hopefully they know who I'm talking about. If not for the fee to get in the place would have gotten a 5 star from me but the guy who helped me him personally I would give more than 5 star if I could. read more

ONE STAR IS TOO GOOD FOR THE FORT WAYNE LOCATION. I wont even give the fort wayne location a single star. The staff is unwelcoming. The dirty looks the staff give are unprofessional. As a customer visiting for the first time, i WILL NOT return to this location. Terrible! read more

Some jerk backed into my wife's Buick breaking her right tail lamp and left the scene so I decided to try Pick A Part instead of the other yard that I usually use. I paid the $3.00 and a very helpful lady asked me what I was looking for. I told her a right tail lamp for a 2005 Buick Le Sabre. She checked her computer and said they have six Le Sabres. She then handed me a sheet with the exact location of every Buick Le Sabre in the yard. As I walked out the door I noticed that every car in the yard is up on sturdy supports so you can get under them safely and easily and they positioned each car far enough apart from the next car that you can open the doors without banging them into the car next to you. The entire yard is concrete! NO MUD!!! My ticket said the first Buick Le Sabre was in row "A" # 9 I walked to the 9th car in row "A" and there was a Buick Le Sabre, but the tail lamp was already gone so the next one was at row "A" car # 12. The tail lamp was there in perfect condition and the keys were in the ignition so I could open the trunk. I took it inside and she rang it up, subtracted the $3.00 entry fee and I left one happy customer! read more

I've been going to this yard for several years. I buy parts and sell them on ebay on the side. If a $3 entry fee is too much for you, you should probably start walking. I've seen people leave because they don't want to spend $3 on the entry. What's the matter with people? By paying $3, it keeps out the people that go in and break all the windows out of cars and destroy everything removing a light bulb. The cars there are usually picked pretty well, but they rotate their stock daily. I've gotten a lot of great items there. Their prices have gone up a little in the last few years, but you still can't go to any of the 3 local yards nearby and get the same part without paying twice as much. The people there are nice guys, and treat you fairly. I'm just thankful they have these pick your part places around still. I've bought several engines and a few transmissions there and they've all worked. They have wheelbarrows, cranes, and carts. Even manual tire changers that other places don't have. I love this yard! One of the only negatives is that this is low-lying ground. If it rains, the Fords are in standing water. The vehicle itself is high enough it's not in the vehicle, but you do need waders or muck boots to get to them after a good rain. This place is usually pretty muddy, but $35 muck boots fix that. read more

Be awhare when you go in you may not find the part you were wanting and you will not get the 3.00 entry fee back. I needed a part for a gm car and found they had a large selection of gm cars.the prices for parts is on the high side.they do give you a list of all compatible cars when you tell them what you need.I liked that they had the cars organized by make. read more

I'm not sure about the others experiences but as for mine this place has been amazing. I worked at a yard around the corner and I had to pay more as an employee than I do at the LKQ yard. If you go on holiday weekends it's 40% off and tires are 7 bucks on Sunday. Yes I will say it floods a bit in the fords section but they seemed to have moved the vehicles accordingly for this year and it's been an exceptionally wet spring. read more
