Cashiers and bangers don't understand that I bring my own grocery bag, last time they didn't fill up my clothes bag instead putting two small items in a plastic bag. When I asked them to put all the items in my cloth bag and "please don't throw out the unused grocery bag." Then he threw it in the garbage. Food selection is good, nice deli section, somewhat limited produce, no Asian vegetables or fruits. Clean and bright, many goods have unnecessary and excessive plastic wrapping. This location is a joke. I filled out an application and received an offer letter, however they started to discriminate me and returned the offer letter. This company discriminates their workers and customers and they are an equal opportunity employer. I will never apply for this company. This place has really gone downhill over the past year or two. Management seems to have forgotten that the store is there for the customers and not the other way around. Prices are higher than the surrounding grocery stores and quality has taken a dive. Too many items only have Roundys brand with no other choices. Most of the time there is only 1 cashier, so if you don't want to do self checkout, you simply have to wait. Today I was waiting in the checkout line while the manager and another worker were simply standing around while the line got longer. The manager did not jump on a register or even try to support the lone cashier who was doing the best she could. All I heard the manager say was that it was time for the cashier to go on break. It was clear to me that the store is not concerned with customer service at all. read more

I used I used to work for Pick N Save but now I find it unbelievably awful to shop there you have to open up an app to be able to find anything you wanna buy on sale and then when you do find the the item you don't know if you're gonna be able to get that price or not. Went to the floral/balloon area today to get some balloons. The worker, Zizzy, was very busy, helping people in other departments, but when he came to help me with balloons, even though this was not his realm, he did a wonderful job. The balloons look wonderful, and I'm very happy with the results! This Pick N Save is also a great store for groceries, always has what you need and great value! Today, I decided to go shopping to Pick and Save. Specifically for the 18 ct eggs - .97. Til I realized I needed a digital coupon. Til I tried to work my way through the app. Til I tried to find the egg digital coupon. So frustrating for older customers. I'm now going to a different store. One that puts a QR CODE for all their coupons. One that still has coupons printed in the ad. One that just makes their prices more reasonable. One that doesn't make me scan my own groceries. I am not criticizing the store's prices, food quality, cleanliness, or their service. Just the frustration of digital technology for the older crowd. We, the older crowd, who have been shopping there the longest (over 52 years through Roundys, Pick and Save, and Kroger) and now feel lost because we can't stay with the technology. So, to the younger crowd, continue shopping here but help the older person try to figure out where the hell the digital egg coupon is. read more

This Pick and Save never has enough cashiers. The lines are long. I was there last week and this lady had about 40 items in her cart and chose to go through the self check out that limits items to 15. Worse, she had items she had to weigh. It was VERY aggravating as there were about 6 people waiting who had under 7-8 items. I can see the point of view of the store not wanting to alienate a customer by reminding her of the item limit. Yet the line was long enough that she probably felt justified in using the self check out. Go first thing in the morning if possible to avoid aggravation! read more

Compared to some of the other area grocery stores, this is the location I frequent the most. Great location, usually have decent sales, and they tend to have what I'm looking for. Definitely prefer this location to the one by Sunnyslope (a.k.a. ye olde Jewel Osco). Not as hip as Sendik's across National, but here you pay for product, not a name brand. The produce department would have to be my favorite. The best part is when "Singin' in the Rain" comes on with the misters! read more

The self checkout area has signs stating that they cannot give you coins for your change which discourages people from using them. The regular checkouts are the same and they state that your change (coins) will be credited to your account. It ends up that the self check registers do give you correct change. I was told by a store employee that they are planning on not giving coins for change in the future and that's why they have the signs in place. Sounds like a racket to me. If each customer leaves even a small balance in their pick n save account that's a tidy some of money for pick n save to hold. I will only shop at pick n save as a last resort. read more

This had been my "go to" grocery store for quite a while, but not anymore. Seems that they've developed a policy of deceiving the customers on pricing and have a very cavalier attitude when challenged. I've been checking my receipts against the prices that were clearly marked on the shelves for several months now and have discovered an alarming rate of incorrect charges. I do understand that errors are going to happen and nobody's perfect. I also understand that a store of this size has thousands of items in it's computer system at any given time and there's bound to be an error here or there. What I don't understand is how a store can have a really large percentage (sometimes as much as 10%) of the items that I buy on a regular basis ring up with the wrong price. I also don't understand how nearly EVERY time there's a discrepency the customer gets charged more than the price that's clearly marked on the shelf. This can't be just an error, can it? If it was human error, wouldn't some of the receipts show lower prices too? I've spoken to the manager on duty on 4 seperate occasions over the last month and a half about this issue, and each time was talked down to. While I don't claim to be a rocket scientist, I'm not an idiot either. I'm perfectly capable of reading prices on the shelves and comparing them to my receipts, thank you very much. I'm also capable of making a decision on where I choose to spend my money and I no longer choose to go to this store for this reason. There's way to many other places to get groceries to put up with this. My recommondation would be to avoid this store. If you choose to go there, then at least check your receipts before you leave, unless you don't mind being ripped off. read more

I shop all around town but I usually go to Pick N- Save the most. I find savings with the Advantage Card or what some of you call the new "Fresh Perks" card they use at Pick-n-Save, Copps, Roundy's, Metro-market and Select Rainbow Foods. I used to get into coupons in a big way. Joe and Robyn and I used to have contests on who could save the most. I live right up the street from this Pick -n- Save and have been going there more lately. I like the salad bar. At work I get the Journal Sentinel and saw the flyer and the coupon insert. There was a bunch of good deals so I thought I would go shopping on my way from work. As I was about ¾ done shopping, and found the items for about ten coupons I realized that I did not read the fine print. (The coupons were for Sentry not Pick-n-save!) Just kidding. I had the right store, it was just that the coupon were not valid until the next day. Boy, my heart sunk like the SS Edmund Fitzgerald that stormy November evening in 1975. What was I to do? Throw a fit? Complain to customer service that it's cra to print coupons that are not valid? Just try to use them, and act stupid when the checker says "no dice?" I really had no idea. So I asked the google machine in my pocket. It said to politely explain my situation to the girl at the customer service desk or a shift manager. Well I followed Suri's advice, and with my most hopeless face I told the nicest looking girl I could find working, about the pickle I got myself into. She made a call (or pretended to) and told me to go to check out with some rad girl named Teagan. I finished shopping, and waited until there was an opportunity to check out with Teagan and the awesome girl in customer service named Nicole. Both of them were real gems and did not give me a bunch of grief for not reading the coupons. Teagan and Nicole worked as a team that day and checked me out without much of a rigmarole. They also saved my family 57 dollars (US). I learned a lot of lessons yesterday. 1. Trust technology. 2. Coupons really can help, just make sure you read the fine print;-) 3. Nicole and Teagan at the Moorland and Nat'l Pick-n- Save are really exceptional ambassadors for the brand. 4. Instead of flipping out, sometimes it helps to just keep calm and carry on. Aside from needing a remodel, this store isn't bad. The fruit and vegetables have less mold than the Pick on Sunnyslope and National. The salad bar is usually pretty well stocked and the meat and bakery are what you'd expect them to be. The store itself is fairly well kept, but is starting to show its age.
