I mean, really... - How does one rate such a business other than by these criteria: 1. Did the business have what I wanted? - Yes. 2. Was it worth my while? - Certainly. 3. Would I return? - Certainly - as needed. 4. Would I recommend? - Indubitably. 5. Was the customer service exceptional? - It was. (I put that up there because I get the sneaky suspicion there are a number of regular readers that think I toss out 5-stars liberally). Back story: I'm the sole owner of my 2007 Toyota Prius. Two years after I bought it (Halloween 2009, to be precise), the rear cup-holder assembly snapped off. two of the studded clips broke off, and the other parts that held it in place sheared off as well. Not being a frequenter of the back seat, I pushed its replacement off. Over the years, I looked into how much a new replacement was (OEMs were going for $90 - no ungilded, un "diamond-studded" cupholder for a 2007 Toyota Prius was going to be worth that...) and just never got around to replacing it. Back in 2012 - I remember starting to call up area junk yards but at that point, there hadn't been any Gen 2 Prius's totalled, so I was STILL out of luck. Fast-forward to these past few months. With frequent school trips, the cupholder was just falling off daily - and, well, you need cupholders - so. This morning, I swung by Pick n' Pull - and 'lo, two Gen II Prius's graced their lot (Export section, rows 38 and 46). The Prius in row 46 had seen considerably better days. With all airbags deployed, just getting into the cabin was a challenge - but when I did, some dastardly opportunist made off with the sought-after cupholder. Not to worry, the Gen II in row 38 would surely have what I needed. And it did. Sure, it's the beige color - and I needed the cheapie-cheapie gray one (I'm convinced that the entry-level prius during that period was the grey one - which is mine). I pried it off - and hoofed it back to the cashier. I bought it, a center-console replacement tray, and a replacement shifter knob. All for under $12. So - yeah... - I'm having a purty good day, thank you very much., Customer Service was outstanding to boot. read more

If an employee comes in the yard and tells you they're going to go get a car lifter to help you get a part off the bottom of a car because they won't allow you to have lifting jacks on the yard, don't believe the employee. ( here is looking at you "Sem") Employee "Sem" told me he was going to go get the car lifter to move some cars out of the way to lift the one up I needed to get the part I wanted,and he never came back. After I waited about 30 minutes, I left he was standing in the air-conditioned entry area and just totally ignored me. Sem is a lying employee with poor customer service. Pros: you can look up the make of cars on their website to see if they have the same model that you're looking for parts. Generally a wide selection of more modern cars with a good deal of cars on the yard. They allow you to wander around the lot to look at cars without too much hassle. Cons: you have to pay to get in; even if it is a couple dollars which other junkyards that you get to wander around in do not charge you. They are super stringent about the prices and do not flex. The prices are kind of high and it's difficult to get good deals there. Bottom line buy new if you can, but if you can't give them a try. read more

Nice parts yard. I drive older ford ranger trucks and this place has the parts I need to keep them going. Every so often they have percent off sales...ranges from 15-33%....but you must be a member of their club(its free to join). Today I picked up a window regulator, hood latch with cable and a backup pair of jumper cables...my total was 83 dollars...with the 33% 4 day sale for members it dropped to 53 dollars. Went mid-morning so I had relative ease of searching for my donor truck. If those trucks could talk....staff was pleasant and lots of parking. They also have repairable cars, trucks and SUVs for sale if your handy. Some visits I find one truck...other days I luck out and find 5. Neat place.... read more

I have called a lot this morning and we'll after lunch just answers the phone and automatically puts you on hold! The First time I was in hold she put me on hold for 12+mins till I hung up! The Second & Third times I was on hold for 7-8+mins per call till I hung up! The FOURTH & FITH TIME I CALLED I WAS ON HOLD FOR 23+mins (3mins the Fourth call) I just wanted to see if someone would eventually take me off hold!!!!!! The Assessment of that situation was I just ended up hanging up because no one ever answered or took me off hold! Please find a different salvage yard to go to. Pick N Pull you should be ashamed that you leave people on endless hold till they hang up mad and desperately try to find any other place Other than your establishment! read more

How can you love automobiles and not love Pick-n-Pull? I have classic car and this DIY junkyard has come in handy many times. Prices are still too high for my liking, but are far better than a traditional junkyard since you do the work yourself. Bring your own tools. Admission is $2 per person. Be prepared to walk through the dusty lot to get to the cars you need (separated by manufacturer). VERY busy on weekends. You can check the inventory on their website, picknpull.com which will also tell you where to find a given car. Oh, and fun at this place is, I MUCH prefer the Panama City location. read more

Won't answer phone ... Sand pit hill is very hard to walk if ya have any physical problems it is almost impossible to get up the sand hill and parts are always blocking path ways so ya can't get a wheel barrel around with out making many detours because staff will not keep it up for normal excess to cars .. If you're looking for a part they will charge ya $2.00 no matter if ya find the part or not ... They might have what you're looking for but a lot of the cars are really well stripped out and common parts that break are usually far long gone before ya got there .. Poor employee attitude and if the part is damaged they will still charge ya full price as they do not negotiate for damaged parts ... Brinks trucks keep rolling in and out so they are making tons of money and not passing much or if any real savings as I found many times parts online to be almost equal in price with out getting used parts , grease and grime and fighting rusted on bolts .. Enter at your own risk ///If your time means anything to ya , washing your clothes, body and paying to get in etc.. Then think twice if you're really saving anything ? terrible experience. when I got there, i was greeted by an obnoxious clerk who ridiculed me for being excited to enter the yard, then two dollars later i entered a yard full of cars already stripped bare, and random rusted parts strewn abroad. i looked at maybe 30 cars, and not one of them had decent interior or engine parts. on car had even been burned beyond recognition in a fire. being a salvage yard i would expect more salvageable material. Schnitzer industries really needs to claim a lot of these bodies for scrap as there is little other use for them. read more
