I had the filet mignon and the cut of meat was exceptional and cooked to exactly how I had requested. Seasoned perfectly. My first time trying succotash, I must say that I am a fan. Our server mentioned that he was fairly new and it showed. His presence and attention was a little off, Had to ask others for drink refills and no one came around asking how our food was after it was served. Good thing that it was amazing. The only other mark was that even though they had some AC units, they didn't seem powerful enough to cool the building and it was very hot in there. Also, there back staff door to the outside was used quite a bit and we found it distracting because every time it was opened, full sunlight would shine in and fully light up a room they were trying to keep dim. It was almost disorientating and was frequent. Outside all of that, we will absolutely visit again.

Day trip to Nanton from out of town and we chose The Bridge for breakfast. Saturday 11;00am and the…read morefirst thing i noticed was how busy it was outside at the gas pumps and how very quiet inside at the restaurant, only two tables being served. We were seated at a very delapidated seat at the window and given menus. I noticed a lot of east indian meals listed. Our order was taken by a nice young waitress and brought out in short order. My order consisted of sausage/eggs/toast and potato chunks. The plate looked quite bland, not extremely appealing, the sausage was dripping so much oil that i used two napkins to soak up the residual. The eggs cooked as requested, the potato chunks were dried up as if left over from the previous day. I have never before seen assorted jams repackaged in small containers and left out on the table. This was the first time i have been offered a visa machine to pay where the tip starts at 15%. Next time in Nanton we will not return to the Bridge but try another restaurant.

I'd indicated it was a special occasion on the reservation, and that got us a nice thank you card and free cheesecake for dessert (which was great!). I had the fish and chips, which was cooked to perfection (their fries are excellent), and my wife had the baked lasagna which she loved. But nothing was better than the "Apple Pie on the Rocks" cocktail which she said was the best cocktail she'd ever had in her life. We'll be back!   1st Visit: We loved our first visit here a few days ago so much, we're coming back again already! The staff is fantastic, the ambiance is relaxing, and the food was excellent. Our party had a mixture of dishes, including a smoked old fashioned drink, filet mignons, pepperoni pizza, chicken sandwich, and other things. Everyone was impressed with their food and drinks. I had the Cajun Chicken Fettuccine, and it was flavorful and delicious, with just the right amount of spicy kick. Excellent garlic toast as well, only lightly spiced with garlic. I departed with some leftovers and it was even better the next day. The Caramel Apple Crisp was amazing and is a must-try for dessert! The other thing that impressed me was that all our food came out at the same time, and everything was hot and fresh. A lot of restaurants can't pull that off.

It wasn't bad, I'm just not a huge fan of lagers. Nothing else on the beer menu appealed to me. Service was quick and the food came out quickly. Alert! Delicious donuts coming your way!…read more Check out the likes of these babies. My lovely friend and coworker Angie at Black Dog Ranch (check out her account for adorable dog photos) has a beautiful ranch south of the city and she led me to these donuts that are the talk of Black Diamond. Naturally I had to get my hands on some. Rules for ordering your Westwood Donuts: 1 They change up their flavours every week, so if a round appeals to you, jump on it! 2 You have to place your order on Wednesday before they sell out. Don't press the snooze on this. 3 There's only a short window on Saturday for pick-up (12-3PM on Saturdays). Once you've completed the steps above, you're on your way to donut heaven. RATING: 9/10 - Westwood: Donuts The dough is everything you want it to be--soft, fluffy and fresh. It makes a great base for the various donut creations. I had the pleasure of trying these flavours: Chocolate Fudge Filled: With rich chocolate custard and coated in cinnamon sugar. You can't go wrong here. Banana Cream Pie: This tasted exactly like it sounds. Fragrant banana custard with whip and bananas on top. If you did a blind taste test, it would be hard to differentiate this from the real pie. Nerds Glaze: Imagine a blue raspberry starburst. This one was sweet, tropical and sour. Lemon Glaze: Pound cake in donut form. I adored the natural lemon flavour! The Banana Cream Pie stole my heart, but they were all worth writing home about. I can't wait to have an excuse to try these glorious donuts again and check out Westwood's food and patio. Black Diamond here I come!
