We got to the front desk and was welcomed by one of the workers that checked to see if our nane were on the list, after that we were welcomed by Sara she was our teacher for the day and Kayla her assistant. They were both very helpful when help was needed. Sara made sure that everybody was having a good time. Painting time: We started to paint around 4:10pm (instead of 4pm) im sure it was because there were a group that were a little late. It was kinda annoying since some of us were early and waiting to paint. Buttt...the painting process was really nice because Sara made sure to tell the instructions very slowly and repeated them afterwards if you needed help. And they also took breaks where if you needed to catch up you could and also get more help. Our husbands made it a guys night and dropped us off which was a great idea since their parking lot is small and we went on a Saturday night. We did our research and found that you could bring snacks and beverages. So we stocked up on wine, cheese and crackers. Something light to munch on while painting. Our class was pretty full and the instructor had a mic so everyone could hear. She even would walk around the room to help with any questions and offer some tips. She was very good at instructing and I thought everyone's painting turned out great! It was very interesting to see that we all painted the same concept yet they were all so unique and pretty. The class last about 2 hours. The staff gathers your groups together so they can take a photo of you with your masterpiece. This was such a fun and different girls night out option over the usual "let's go to a bar for happy hour". They offer lots of classes throughout the week and even multiple classes in one day. The studio is fairly large with high ceilings. They provide all the supplies for you to paint and they give you an apron to wear but be sure to wear clothing that you don't mind getting paint on. One of us four got a little paint on their outfit.

Long story short, I have some small crafting background, but nothing compares to how well Nicole can paint. She grew up around art and it is so evident that she is passionate about art itself and teaching others too. Every event we start off the first few steps of painting and I lose hope for my picture turning out as it should, but in the end I LOVE the final results. There's a foam square pit, plastic obstacles, mats to climb, a big slide, and even a little trampoline. All the kids seemed to be having a blast while I was there. While I do think this is a great option to meet up with friend and get some exercise, it is important to note that it's not as cleanly as some of the other gyms I've been to. There were small pieces of fluff all over, so I definitely had to keep a close eye on my little one who tries to put everything in her mouth. A lot of the obstacles have also been heavily used, so they look older and run down. Just something to keep in mind when you're scoping out the perfect place for your next adventure. Overall, we had a fun time and it was inexpensive!

Candle Land is such a wonderful experience for a date, birthday, or just a fun outing with friends…read more My fiancé took me here for my birthday, and Alex was our instructor and she was very friendly and a great teacher. She was so helpful in explaining the process, recommending scents to try, and being patient while I smelled literally every fragrance in the place at least twice over. The whole studio is SO cute with their decor, and since it was my birthday (and we were the only ones in the studio--it was a Thursday afternoon), Alex allowed me to pick the music we got to jam out to. The candle making process is truly hands-on at Candle Land, so whatever you make is 100% on you! However Alex was super informative with letting us know which fragrances had mixed reviews from other patrons, and even went so far as to offer a redo if we used a certain fragrance and didn't like it once we mixed it with another. It was so fun mixing the fragrances and finding that perfect balance between the two that I picked! We also got to pick out "toppings" for our candles like different dried flower petals, glitter, and I got a special confetti since it was my birthday that I chose to incorporate throughout my candle. The whole process took just about an hour, and that was with me deliberating over fragrances for a majority of the time. You're able to hang around the area and pick up the candles once they fully set in 45 minutes, or return another day if you can't stay. I love that Candle Land advertises the vessels as refillable, and even offers a discount to return and create a new candle once yours is burned through! It's basically a gift that keeps giving :) Even if you don't return to Candle Land, the vessels are super cute and can be repurposed for a ton of other things. Overall, I definitely recommend visiting Candle Land if you like candles and crafting. It's a fun, easy outing that anyone can participate in!

With beer, wine, cider, and mead available the first part was definitely covered, so we all imbibed (in moderation of course). Then came the fun. An instructor guided us through the finer points of hurling axes, throwing knives, and even shovels! Pre-printed brackets and score cards are available if you want to compete with your friends for points. Everyone had a great time!
