From the indoor training to the Dutch springs, we never never disappointed with their classes. An instructor stayed with me and shared his experience to calm me down. At the end, I trusted him enough to complete the course the same day.

I thought if I ever had a kid this is where I would go. Fast forward I brought Otto my son here when he was about 5 months. He didn't love it but the instruction was solid and loving. We stopped for a while because he was just not ready -- though I'm really glad I gave him that first year because he learned how to go under water and never held his nose. We shopped around for cheaper and closer and finally we came back. In one lesson he was swimming !!!! His teacher then and now Victoria is amazing!! She is steady loving and firm. From day one, the staff was super friendly and made me feel right at home. My instructor, Raymond, took the time to understand what I needed and personalized every lesson to help me improve in the shortest amount of time. I made more progress in a few lessons than I thought I would, and I felt so supported the whole time. I've recommended this place to friends and if you're also looking to learn to swim, this is your place. 5 stars!

I asked a few friends, young and old, about their opinions, and the only shop to get high recommendations was Cedar Grove Divers Supply. So I stopped in the shop to talk. Let me be clear, scuba diving is not cheap. But it doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. CGDS was up front about the cost, which was reasonable. Some places say they are cheaper, but then add "pool fees" and "certification fees." CGDS has awesome supplies in stock, and let me try out items before making the decision on what to buy. They include so much in their course, which doesn't begin to explain the experience of the instructor. The primary instructor, Doug, has been diving for longer that I have been alive. The wealth of knowledge provided during class, during open water dives, and during general discussion is unparalleled. Classes and certification dive days felt more like talking to friends than taking a class. I can't say enough about this family owned operation, and would recommend it to anyone. In fact, some of my own family members will be signing up soon. I will be back for more advanced training in the future!

I was matched with an instructor on the same day that I sent in my request to InstaSwim. Unfortunately, the initial instructor was not great & kept cancelling on us. I ended up calling InstaSwim & they worked to match me with a different instructor who contacted me the same day. We ended up being matched with Kendra, who has been absolutely amazing with my daughter. She is very patient with her & my daughter has even been trying to do floats & her kicks in the tub. Due to all the delays of trying a different swim program & finally being matched with Kendra, the weather has gotten colder. Thankfully InstaSwim offers an option to downgrade the swim package. I contacted them & was able to downgrade from 12 to 6 lessons with no issues. I highly recommend InstaSwim!

It only took one week the first summer and we were so pleased we signed up for a second week. During the summer of 2020, I respected that a credit could be used at a later time and was thankful that I could send my son to camp at the lake for a week during the summer given the fact everyone has to work around many rules and regulations due to covid. The location was not as convenient as Secaucus but the kids loved it. Currently, both of my children (now 7 and 3) are attending Miss Yvonne's spring break camp in Hoboken. In just 4 days, my 3 year old who would previously "sink" in the water (his words), is now swimming without a floatie! We will continue with Miss Yvonne's group lessons for him afterwards. Overall, the kids are having a blast this week--not only with swimming but jump rope, soccer, arts & crafts and science too! If you would like your child to learn how to swim, I highly recommend Miss Yvonne's swim school. If you are looking for a great camp with lots of swim instruction and fun --convenient to anyone in JC and Hoboken -- try the camp! It is worth the cost!
