The receptionists at this establishment are appalling, they have the worst hospitality I have ever seen at a "professional" establishment, acting like they have an excuse to be as arrogant as possible. The care I receive here is mediocre at best, there are better places with better and nicer staff than here. Don't even get me started on trying to get a prescription from them they give you such a hard time and act like they are an insurance company, they pretend and lie to their patients about insurance coverage as well as ignore insurance companies' requests. If you genuinely care about your health do not go here. All they care about is money and don't care about your health. read more

ZERO STARS- Do not go here, and if you are a current patient, I suggest you leave bc they mismanaged what turned out to be a serious cancer diagnosis. After visits and calls to their office I ended up in the ER 2xs. My symptoms and pain were being downplayed at the ER and their office. The radiology report from the ER said to have an MRI completed but my gyno said not necessary, we'll repeat the ultrasound in 90 days. They gave me 3 prescriptions over the course of 60 days, none of them worked. My gyno scheduled a scope and biopsy for 4 weeks out, then she cancelled an in-office procedure to book me in Hospital OR, another 4 weeks out which was crazy. She refused to give me a referral to Dr. Doo for a 2nd opinion, but her staff helped me go around her. She repeatedly told me it's "Just a fibroid and complex ovarian cyst" despite my family history of gynological cancer. At my pre-op she started taking biopsies even though I was scheduled for 7 days later at the OR for that procedure. So if you value your life, stay far away from this practice. I have filed with the state medical board for an investigation to be conducted due to what transpired. read more

I LOVE this practice! I have seen Dr. Lamonica for over 10 years know and he is the most caring and thorough doctor I have ever seen. He delivered my daughter and then I have continued to see him as my gynecologist as well. I was shocked to see any bad reviews about this practice and was compelled to write a positive one. Awful experience twice. TLDR; Can't sort out health insurance | Doctors never called me back In 2016, I visited this office for an annual check-up and an IUD replacement. I have two insurance providers and full coverage in network from both. This doctor's office failed to get my bill paid from either provider leaving me with a $305 bill. The doctor I saw retired shortly after my visit. I never received a call back on treatment or help on getting my bill paid. Today, forgetting this awful experience, I reached out to find an new ob/gyn. Instead of setting up an appointment, I was transferred to the billing office for the 2016 $305 debt. Keep in mind this debt has already been sold to a collection agency who has already ruined my credit. Again, because this office could not sort out insurance. So rather than trying to understand why I needed an appointment, I was given to the billing department. While I should have paid the $305 bill for an annual check-up in 2016, my belief is that they should have helped get it covered by 1 of 2 insurance companies, but then I remembered how awful the patient experience was...I'm still wondering how my 2016 appointment went as I have never heard from any doctor, but the billing department will haunt my credit for life forever. If you want to have an expert treat your health, go elsewhere. read more

Literally just got off the phone with the receptionist after telling her I needed a second opinion that I was having a serious problem and she said she couldn't give me an appointment till November December or January I once again reiterated that I had an issue needed to get in very soon and I was shocked that the doctors wouldn't tell them to be understanding and take me sooner and she said as a new patient the earliest I can get you in is November December or January. So I guess if I get worse in the meantime I'm supposed to just deal with it? This is awful and shows a huge lack of concern for the health and well-being of anyone. read more

Made an appointment MONTHS ahead due to lack of openings... show up with the confirmation letter (mailed to me) in hand and they say... "oops, you are to be in the other office" (not the one printed clearly on the letter they MAILED TO ME, where we came....) so I ask them to call that office and we will head straight over there quickly. Front desk says nope- they won't wait or move anyone, and we have nothing available for you to see a doc. I'm literally showing you that YOU TOLD ME TO COME THIS OFFICE and now won't honor what will be a brief appointment with ANY doctor? WTH? After making a significant 'stink' with the VERY RUDE office staff, including the 'manager' and waiting an hour, we finally see a doctor for the less than 10 minutes needed. The doctor was fine, kind and friendly. Sadly, patients experience more time with the office staff than physicians, and this one isn't worth the grief. read more

I have called this practice twice and both times the receptionist pushed me off by months because theere are no female phycians available to take new patients. My physician left her practice and I need care and if an entire practice tells you to go find someone else, in my book, they should not be in business. Good luck calling this place. read more

I'm actually a little upset at the moment. I went in to get my annual check up months ago. While there, my Doctor asked if I would like to also get an STI exam, and I said yes assuming it was an optional part of the exam. She never once stated that it was an add on and that there was a chance I would have to pay any extra fee. Even when I checked out with billing, they said I was set to go and had no extra to pay. Fast forward four months, I am now being charged for this extra lab test. Luckily my copay is low, but it's the principal of the thing. Why was I not told that this was extra? Very unfortunate. I had a lovely doctor, but am now incredibly frustrated with the visit. The test was $95 without insurance. Imagine being in my situation without having insurance to cover at all! That's a decent chunk of money to pay out of pocket. Just please please PLEASE inform your patients when tests are not included in the yearly check up and that they may not be covered. This has potential to become a slippery slope for some women, and I'm not at all happy. read more

Dr Gillotti is an amazing physician and I would've been happy to have her deliver my baby. Despite long wait times, I was open to giving them a shot. I however chose to leave this practice because of their policies related to payments and price gouging. First, they notify you that they will be putting you on a payment plan and you have to pay out of pocket for your first visit. Since when do prenatal visits cost money? All maternity care is covered by the affordable care act. When questioned, they explain is that your payments are to support your delivery fee. So if I'm 8 months from delivery, why MUST I begin paying on a plan TODAY? Can I start in a month or two when I've reallocated my budget to accommodate your expense? No. Against office policy. How stressful!! Aren't I the pregnant one? Guess I need to find a new practice Then, they partner with vendors that price gouge as well! 2 outside "voluntary" lab tests would cost me 1K after my insurance contributes. Excuse me?? So I'm supposed to pay a payment plan and come up with an extra $1000. What is this? Why would you agree to partner with a company that has such fees? Price gouging...again! As much as I would love to think this practice is patient focused, it's not. Sad considering the patient population is vulnerable pregnant women trying to manage a growing family. Not sure how others are doing it but I don't need the stress. Peace read more

You are just a number and this practice firstly cares about making money of you. The nursing stuff was ok but not very knowledgeable. They are all trained to have a cookie cutter approach. I questioned some of their recommendations based on some personal medical knowledge and they were no help. I have to say, I was happy with the doctor I chose- Dr. Yelena P. observed me during few months of my pregnancy, she was the only positive experience I had. We drained so much money on lab works (almost 3 K, insurance covered some but it was still a LOT and no one tells you in advance what to expect to pay). Though I stayed up to date with all my service and office visit payments. On top of " cat in the bag lab costs" they immediately put you on a monthly payment plan for your future childbirth, even it won't happen until few months into next year. WARNiNG! Do not make any childbirth payments in advance! We lost $ 800 because eventually I decided to go with a better holistic midwife practice. At first they said we will get reimbursed, but then financial supervisor found a loop hole to keep my payment. Legalized thievery! Thank god I made only one payment, otherwise we wouldn't get back thousands of dollars. By the way one of the secretaries had nasty attitude when it came to collecting those monthly payments towards the end of the month. But was all sweet when payments weren't due just yet. Thanks for nothing and for all stress caused during pregnancy! I regret the lost money and wasting time and nerves here, but I'm in a much better hands now and it shows on all levels. read more

I just delivered my first baby and I can't express how happy I have been with the whole practice. Dr. H is my main doctor and I love her but while I was in the hospital Dr. Lovato was on call and she was wonderful as well. Dr. Lamonica delivered my son and it was a wonderful experience. Everyone in the hospital was amazing and so helpful. I would recommend this group and the hospital to my closest friends!!! read more

If you want to be treated like livestock, then this is the place for you. I did not have a Yelp account, but after the way my wife was recently treated there through her last pregnancy, I had to make one. The doctors always seem to be unavailable. There is no feeling like being told over the phone that your unborn baby has died after 3 agonizing days of waiting for a doctor to tell you what the ultrasound tech already knew. You will wait a long time for answers. The nurses always call right when they're about to close. If you miss the call, then you will have to wait until they open the next day to speak with someone. Good luck getting a doctor on the phone. The nurse we had lacked "nursing" skills, she was very cold, for the lack of a better term. We're not looking to be treated like royalty, very far from it. But a little respect and empathy should be expected. It is patient care after all. Although, one of the nurses, Sheila, is very good at her job. The receptionist did not even bother to look at us the whole time we interacted with her. As a matter of fact, she was on the phone making snarky remarks and laughing with the nurse about another patient there. After going here for 10 years with my wife, through 3 pregnancies, it has really gone downhill. This place is run like a factory. It may have been a good office before, but it is not anymore. read more

The Most unprofessional "Doctors" Office I have ever encountered. My girlfriend had a seizure while she was pregnant, and we needed to get in the next day to check on the Baby and get some blood work done for the neuro. The nurse comes back and tells us to go to the Emergency Room, which makes no sense according to every other doctor we spoke with. They have VERY limited knowledge of anything to do with the medical field. Then I call back and the Nurse there Cary K (she wouldn't give me her full name) was the most rude person I have ever dealt with, and she ended up just hanging up on me. I finally get in touch with Dr Gillotti, and after I had to explain everything to her, because she has absolutely no idea what she is talking about I was able to get an appointment for 5 hours later. Then we finally go in to the appointment, and then Kim tells us they cannot do the bloodwork there, after the so called "Doctor" Gillotti told us it would be fine. My girlfriend is 17 weeks pregnant and had a seizure the night before and literally NONE of the staff there seemed to care at all. Dr Rueben, Dr Gilotti, Dr Monasanto, and the rest of the staff there ONLY care about money! They do not care about their patients at all. We will be filing complaints with the health board, the Danbury Hospital, and every other regulatory offices we can find! STAY FAR AWAY from these crooks! BEWARE of this "Puppy Mill" read more

Dr. Gillotti saw me through my whole pregnancy. She was wonderful, caring and even funny. I also met many of the other doctors and for the most part found them to be likable my favorite after Gillotti being Dr. Falter. Sometimes the wait is a bit long which can be annoying but I imagine it is due to another patient needing a little more time. The office is clean the receptionists, billing, appointments and nursing staff are efficient and pleasant and now when I come in with my baby they are all genuinely enthusiastic to interact with him and ask how he is doing. I also love their proximity to the hospital (right across the street). I would recommend Dr. Gillotti in a heartbeat! read more

So far gave this office two tries, but will not be coming back. First time had to wait for the doctor 1 hour past my appointment time. It happens. So I went back again. And here is what I realized, by the way none of the staff ever told me about this. I was charged upfront for the visit. Which was my co pay and what my insurance supposed to pay. So they overcharged me. When I called them, they said that's the way do business and I have to call after every bill and request a refund. So when I was there for my second appointment they already owed me money, but no one thought it would be important to let me know that. So if a patient never calls they just keep the money from you and the insurance. read more

Only giving this place 2 stars. I LOVE Dr. Devita wish it was just her own practice with a different staff. The front office staff are super rude and not friendly at all. I had to get blood work done for an important test and they lost it. 3 weeks I was waiting for the results and NO call. I was nervous and only got a call from the lab saying they never received my blood work. When I called the office to tell them what the lab stated they said they couldn't do the blood work. They were wrong. Some of the front staff are not well educated and don't know what they are talking about. Went back and the phlebotomist was not nice. I've been going there for 12 years and just couldn't handle it anymore. Especially if I want a family one day I don't want to be stressed during that time. I had to get out of there. Patient care was great, and the doctors are very nice. However, the billing staff is nothing short of rude. I have never in my life been talked down to in such a rude manner. Also, be prepared to PREPAY for your entire pregnancy before giving birth. I tried to explain I could not pay anything out of my health savings account until a claim was filed, but was told it is their company policy to receive prepayment. Furthermore, I asked what would happen if for some reason I did not give birth at Danbury Hospital and I was told I could ask for a refund after the fact. For people with high deductible insurance, and those who will give birth in the next calendar year look to be paying $500-$600 a month out of pocket beginning with your first visit. I was so unhappy I switched practices in the 4th month of my pregnancy to avoid the toxic staff. read more
