Dr. Kelley is the most kind and giving man I've ever met…read more 30 years ago, he and his wife sponsored my family from Vietnam. They didn't know who we were, but wanted to help. They saved our lives. Despite having 3 kids of their own, they adopted an orphan from Vietnam. And since sponsoring us, they have sponsored 4 other families from Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. I don't know if you all know what a burden it is to sponsor a family. You are physically and finanacially responsible for these people until they can get on their feet. It's easier said than done. Just imaginge a whole family of strangers (who don't speak your language) living with you. They have opened up their hearts and their home for people in need. And for the past 23 years, Dr. Kelley has been traveling to Haiti ( a place in political turmoil) twice a year to work in the local hospital and help with the local orphans. He and his wife will be traveling there next year to also help reform the educational system. What a truly wonderful man! If you live in this area, is there any doubt as to which doctor you should see?

I'm surprised that no one else has reviewed Dr. Kelly. Maybe because us Yelpers tend to be younger…read moreand don't tend to go to doctors that often... but I feel Dr . Kelley needs to be recognized as a great Dr. as well as a humanitarian. It does not surprise me to see what Tu D. wrote about Dr. Kelley, I knew that he went to Haiti twice a year and that he had adopted a child from Vietnam but the sponsorship of families was something I didn't know about, but that really doesn't surprise me.... I've had Dr. Kelly as my PCP for a few years now and have always found him to be an incredibly caring individual who also is a really good, practical, doctor. don't expect a lot of bells and whistles when you go to his office, in fact he will probably complain to you about how the "damn computers" are making his life as a doctor a living hell... Do expect to find someone who will listen to you, treat you as an expert in your own care, and work with you to fix whatever is broken. He doesn't automatically reach for the prescription pad, but may just tell you why your mom was right about chicken soup is good for you when you have a cold and the science behind it.... I would strongly recommend that anyone go to see Dr. Kelley, being a good guy goes a long way in being a good doctor... and he's a great guy.

Let me preface this review by noting that I've been blessed with great health, so my experience in…read moredealing with physicians and doctors offices has been pretty limited - but I just can't think of any way that my experience with Dr. Cameron and his staff could have gone any better. Dr. Cameron came very highly recommended to me by Dr. Andreozzi, another well-respected and highly-esteemed ENT doctor in Rhode Island. I had a rare condition in my throat that required surgery, and I was told by Dr. Andreozzi that Dr. Cameron was one of the few surgeons in Rhode Island (if not the only one in the state?) who could perform the surgery endocsopically - without any external incision - which of course would be way less invasive and yield a much quicker recovery time, and much better success rate, than the traditional incision method. Sold!! His staff arranged for me to get an appointment to see him much quicker than I would have expected, and everyone who I dealt with over the phone was warm, friendly, and courteous. When I arrived to see him, I was really impressed with the overall tone of the office. I got the feeling from all of the admin staff that I dealt with that they were genuinely happy where they were (and it wasn't even Friday!) and that they were happy to be helping people. In my opinion, that morale is pretty remarkable - it's something I'm just not accustomed to! I was seen right on time and Dr. Cameron took his time to fully listen to my concerns, and he explained everything in great detail, complete with a very impressive freehand drawing (good to see a steady hand first hand!). He even offered to show me some photos of the procedure but I opted out for obvious reasons. His sense of humor greatly helped to calm my nerves and I was able to get an appointment for the surgery within about a week after visiting him - I had anticipated it would have been weeks if not months for this to happen! The courtesy, warmth and professionalism of the staff that I dealt with continued into the pre-op as well as day of operation. Lisa thoroughly guided me step by step through the whole process at the pre-op and did an AMAZING job of calming my nerves. Post op, I called the office with a couple of questions, and Dr. Cameron personally returned my call within the hour and didn't rush me through the conversation. I'm writing this review not even three full days after the operation, with a delicious pulled pork, pickle and avocado sandwich staring me in the face. No more mushed food! I just can't believe how quickly the recovery process has been! I would recommend Dr. Cameron and his staff at ENT Associates of Westerly to anyone with ear, nose or throat needs. Plus, Westerly is a great little town to visit - I'll certainly be back to the area to do some beaching and shopping!

And as a result of me putting a formal complaint about it within the hospital, I got rude uncaring unsympathetic cold terrible awful upsetting calls not caring at all what I went through or my terrible experience or what Dr. Hamdi did wrong to me: from Dr Dalton (Medical Director/Chief of Ob/Gyn), and also Elaine Desmarais (Assistant VP, Performance Improvement, Regulatory and Corporate Compliance). I can't believe what a terribly run women's center this is and the lack of respect for women they have! I'm outraged, shocked, traumatized, upset, and appalled! Absolutely terrible and unexeptible!!!

Today when I went for an emergency…read morecheck-up, they were almost 15 minutes behind (I had almost the first appointment), no one asked if I needed to use the ladies room first (as they used to), and the woman at the check-in/out desk was nothing short of miserable. It's like they just hate their job, already at 8:15 am. My actual doctor was THE SWEETEST, and referred me to schedule my next appointment to swap out birth control, only to deal with the front desk woman again who says A. They don't have anyone to do a swap that month except for 1 singular day at their Westerly office, and then when I asked how/where I would go about scheduling it elsewhere if need be, and she was a total twat about it; "you can look that up yourself." "Okay, but WHERE do I start?! Doctors office? RN? OB?" she just answered "another OBGYN". Totally unhelpful, unfriendly, and honestly makes me not want to return EVER! And I've been here 15+ years AND my mom came before me. Sad sad state of affairs this office is in, especially with the poor "bedside manner" of the "face of the business." Very unimpressed today, and leaving discouraged.
