Some trail was still covered by the snow or wet. We walked slowly that still could take me an hour to go through different trails. It will be better to walk around during summer. It's just north of the hospital and is easy to miss since I rarely drive up this way. One of the best parts about the park is the free parking just south of the park. The trail is somewhat circular, and can vary from 2-3 km depending on where you walk. The trails are pretty easy and flat. The trails on the north side of the park pass by residential back yards and are primarily dirt trails, which can get muddy after a rain. You also pass by some nice brick houses on the west side of the park. Overall, a pretty nice walk if you're looking for something easy and don't want to break a sweat.

Some routes are accessible, since do have narrow paths and are more challenging. The park it self features trails, fountains, bridges overlooking falls, multiple look out points, streams & plenty of shade. It's beautiful in the spring, summer & fall. I did not see any duck poop on the trail or deck so that problem must've been fixed. Glad they listened! Will definitely come back again for a nice stroll.

As to why it is called "Red Park", the only thing I can think of is that they hold the annual Strawberry Festival there, during the Canada Day long weekend. I was at that festival in 2022. The neighbouring streets were closed each time I've been there, but I've only been there twice, so don't take my work for it. There is no free WiFi. It is not wheelchair accessible. There's also a playground. Though well serviced by roads (not all conservation areas are), the trails are badly maintained with many potholes. Walking out of the Boyd Conservation Area is more rewarding as the Humber Trail, which is pleasant and well maintained trail, runs north to Boyd North and beyond. They're open daily mid-June to early September, and weekends mid-May to mid-June and mid to end September.
