The nursing staff in the Cardiovasculat Intensive Care Unit ("CVICU") was just as amazing. They were professional, kind, compassionate, responsive, and dedicated. Particular mention goes to (and sorry if I missed anyone) Adriana C. and Lucnise A. from the night shift; and Elienay J., Christian N., and Aaliyah from the day shift. Although I don't wish health issues on anyone, if in fact you need heart surgery, I would most definitely recommend the team at Westside.

It was not until approximately 7:00 PM that another nurse finally brought me water along with my food. Around 6:00 PM, I used the call button because I needed assistance. My call was not answered, and no one came to check on me. My husband eventually went to find Nurse Racquel, who reportedly stated that she was too busy. After waiting approximately 20 more minutes without assistance, my husband tried to help me himself. During this process, a monitor alarm was triggered. Despite the alarm sounding and Nurse Racquel being near the doorway, no one came to assist or even turn off the alarm. As a result of the delay, I was unable to hold my bladder any longer and ended up urinating on myself and on the shoes of the staff when they finally arrived. This was humiliating and completely avoidable had assistance been provided when requested. Additionally, I did not receive pain medication until approximately 8:00 PM, despite being in significant discomfort. I found this level of care unacceptable. Patients should be treated with respect, have their basic needs addressed in a timely manner, and receive prompt assistance when requesting help. I ask that this incident be reviewed and addressed appropriately.

They even have self check-in kiosks, which is such a great option if you prefer not to wait in line. The atmosphere was another pleasant surprise... the relaxing spa music playing throughout the office honestly made me feel like I was about to get a massage at a five-star resort, not sit in a waiting room. The efficiency here is unmatched. The second I checked in and sat down, they called me in. I didn't even have time to pull out my phone! I'm used to spending hours at doctor's offices, but not here. Even once I was in the exam room, I didn't wait long at all. I was in and out so quickly, I actually had to figure out what else to do with the rest of my day (a first for me at a doctor's appointment!). They also conveniently offer lab work being done here, instead of going to Quest or another location. As for Dr. Maria Cortti Ferrari... she was wonderful. Friendly, personable, and very knowledgeable. She made me feel comfortable as a new patient, and I left feeling confident that I chose the right office. I thought it was worth writing a good one because I actually am so thankful for this office....I have to admit at first I was seeing a male Dr at this practice who didn't really understand my needs and kept telling me that I was fatigued because I'm a "mom" but I knew it was more than that. I wasn't myself. I understand everyone's different and their approach might not align well with me and that's ok. I did some research about other doctors in this practice and came across Jennifer Curro. I am so grateful for her because she immediately showed empathy and understanding. She told me not to worry and that we'd get to the bottom of this and offered to run additional testing. We definitely got to the bottom of it and figured out what was happening. She continues to follow up with me every 6 months for testing and reviews everything with me thoroughly. I feel like I owe her tremendously! Especially after not getting help I desperately needed for almost 2 years!! She's really an amazing person and quality doctor. TOP TIER As far as office experience, they're very friendly and seem to have their work under control. They're professional and respectful. I've been coming to this office for 2.5 years now and have no complaints about them at all. If anything, they make an extra effort to confirm which type of appointment you need scheduled next for example. Because my memory is terrible, by the time I get to checkout I might forget if I need to schedule my follow up or blood work. And they just tell me that they'll call me once they confirm if they're not sure or figure it out for themselves by looking at my details in the computer. Apart from this, it's definitely on the techy side. Everything is manageable through an app, scheduling appointments, rescheduling, prescription refills, lab results and even non urgent messaging. They do take a bit to respond to the messages but if it's not an urgent message that shouldn't matter because they answer within the day or 2. Both times it happened to me. Luckily I was early for both appointments and did not end up being late even after I sat for a few minutes in the wrong office. The ladies at the front desk are very friendly and professional. The staff is wonderful. They have a great bed side manner that puts you at ease. For the CT Scan, they called me prior to let me know of the financial responsibility I had. They also called to remind me of the appointment. The office is clean and comfortable. I did not have a long wait time. They took me right after I had filled out the paperwork and paid my out of pocket responsibility. This way when I was done with my exam, I could just leave. There is plenty of free parking and a nice seating area right outside if you need to take a phone call. Excellent facility and professional staff!

The staff was nice at the front desk and the paper work wasn't that long. I had another person in front of me , so I had to wait a bit in the exam room. The PA ( I'm saying PA cause usually doctors say that they are a doctor when they walk in, if she's a doctor I really do apologize ) asked me what brought me here and actually listened to what I had to say. She told me what she thought was wrong and ordered some X-rays. Additionally, she added an X-ray to see if what I thought happened was going on as well. The office has coffee, juices and applesauce (good thinking for diabetic patients) available for consumption. My father met Dr Sondra Aikens who will be his new primary care doctor now that he is 65. His bedside manner is outstanding. He sat eye level with my dad and had patience with my dad's responses to his questions( my dad is forgetful and slow to respond). He even made some funny jokes along the way. He was very throughout in his assessment and explaining the plan of care with my dad and my self. All of the staff especially Katherine were exceptionally pleasant and made sure the follow up and instructions were understood. I am so grateful this will be my dad's new primary care physician.
