One of the nice features they don't talk about a lot, but you can take a whole page of photos in this scrapbook for example four photos at one time and then they will not only enhance or fix up the photos. They also separate each photo into a separate image file all cropped and as neat as can be that saves me a lot of time. read more

Stopped in to get my passport picture taken, they were super friendly, efficient and the picture turned out great! Highly recommend.

Best. Film. Lab. EVER. Some people say film photography is back. Some people say film photography never left. It doesn't matter, if you are a film shooter in the know, you know about Old School Photo Lab, AKA Photosmith. Got black and white? Send it to Old School. Got slide film? Send it to Old School. Got weird and funky expired film? Send it to Old School (I have a roll of Kodak Tri-X Pan that expired in 1979 loaded and ready to shoot). Kodachrome? No, nobody does that, though there is a guy in the PNW that is monkeying with it. Scala? No, that goes to DR5. Also, Steve and the Lab Rats love candy, so you can always shove some in your mailer with your film. Oh, did I mention you can download and print prepaid shipping labels? And Old School sends your negatives back without charging you $8 to do it. Love them! So yeah, stay broke, shoot film. Believe in film. And go follow @oldschoollab on Twitter and/or Instagram. And I'm posting pictures from just clowning around. If you want to see my people pictures, message me :-) read more

They have recently updated their film developing equipment. I didn't expect a difference but I am impressed and happy.

I came to photosmith for about a year to get my film developed while going to school in the surrounding area. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, and my film was developed usually in 24 hours (which is incredible!). I miss this place now that I am back home! read more

I'm visiting from out of town and read all the incredible reviews so wanted to give this place a shot! I had a roll of film from my trip and decided to drop it off with the Photosmith team. Top quality customer service and really wonderful prices, wish I had something similar where I live! read more

Where would I be without Photosmith? In a time when so many film processing centers are vanishing and the few that exist seem to be homogenized and faceless, Photosmith shines like a beacon. The staff at Photosmith are attentive, well-versed in a variety of cameras, film, processing techniques, etc. They keep abreast of current trends and, above all, they are approachable. When I received my first Holga in '09, Steve Frank and his knowledgeable staff were indispensable in not only developing my film, but helping me become a better photographer. Best of all, Photosmith is affordable, making Photosmith the Seacoast's (and, arguably, the nation's) best kept secret. Whether you live locally or across the country, are an amateur or professional photographer, I highly recommend Photosmith. Photosmith's winning ways & great prices make it an invaluable resource for anyone. read more

I joined yelp after resisting for a long time because I wanted to praise these guys for their amazing service, and super quick turnaround. It is a giant pain to develop 120 film these days, and I sent rolls out to all the places nearby that I could find, to figure out who I would be using in the future. I found photosmith through a google search, sent the mailer out, and bam, had my rolls back to me in less than a week. The shipping was free, the developing was cheap, and he sent everything back with a nice handwritten card thanking me for my business. I am still waiting for all my other film from the other services I used, and some of the other mailers I ordered from a different company have not even arrived so I could send the rolls out yet. Long story short, they are really quick, and actually seem to care about personal service. Which is rare. read more

I can't praise our Dover Photo Smith highly enough. The quality of their imaging is perfect, and they don't have any problem with unusual requests. Their staff is always friendly and well versed in all methods that can be used to correct a photo that has not aged well or just has staining that affects the entire photo. They decreased the size of an original painting for me to album sized. The color and clarity was perfect. read more

Mr. Frank, I would like to bring to your attention our experience with one of your employees who is presently employed at and by your company. In today's environment, when people do their jobs, sometimes without much care or the ability to really want to take the time to be informed, possibly due to the fact that repetition overtakes their everyday mundane routine, you have the everyday boring worker that deals with your customers. These are the individuals that present the last picture of your company and are usually the last persons that can "make or break a sale". I would like to thank you for the time that you took to train and inform Ms. Jennifer, as your Represenitive. She is what I as a company owner would love to have representing me and my company. I cannot tell you how she took the time to explain the process of printing 31mm negative slides to positive prints. The pricing schedule, how payment is made, always with that friendly, warm smile in her voice, and probably a "song in her heart". My wife and I asked so many questions, how, why, howcome's, what if's, and there she was, always with the answers. We became the best of telephone friends and it was such a pleasure to get to know her, laugh with her and finally know that we were assured that our memories from years ago were safe and secure. Mr. Frank she needs to be aware that she is a perfect example of the employee that should be congratulated with whatever rewards your company provides faithful employees, even if it is just an encouraging word from her boss. Thanking you in advance for any and all considerations. Captain Joseph L. Naselli USCG Active Duty Military read more

I had several old reels of movies, no idea what I had or was talking about, and asked for them to be transferred to DVD. Steve was so prompt answering all my initial inquiries, gave me a quote and then beat the quote. My husband and his brothers now have family movies to show my aging mother in law hoping to spark some laughs from her and it's all thanks to Photosmith. Great job, very pleased, highly recommend them. read more

Great Job!! The picture from our meeting in Florida was extremely dark. They were able to detail all faces, lighten the foreground and even delete the sun in the background. We will definitely use them again. -Vanessa G Liberty Life Assurance Company of Boston read more

Five years after my original review, and I'm still giving Photosmith five stars. They have great customer service, excellent scan and print quality, and it's fun to see my photos on their Facebook stream (when I take one that's good enough to share.) read more

First experience developing film and couldn't have been better! Came in to the shop with my first two rolls of 35mm film (one shot on the entirely wrong ISO setting which needed special attention) even though I was flying back to school in Europe the next day and the woman who helped me was incredibly accommodating. Had my photos developed, scanned, and uploaded to their online database within two days and all came out wonderfully. They arranged to send my negatives to my home in the states and to let me pay through pay pal once everything was finished. Highly recommend :) read more

Found a bunch of old videotapes of kids when one month to four or so. Could no longer use old format. Photosmith saved me by copying onto DVDs ... Outcome was amazing. Timely, professional, affordable. Highly recommend. Mort Cherim, Dover, NH read more
