The thing I like most about this store is they have a really good second hand section with lots of refurbished camera's and accessories for around 1/3rd of their original cost. I bought my 5D body second hand from here and it has lasted me so well with no issues yet! But even if there was an issue I wouldn't be worried as the staff here have excellent contacts and ideas when it comes to fixing Canon products. The staff are so great, they really know what they are talking about, I could chat with them for ages about new products and old faithful ones and everything in-between. They stock the two main brands here, Canon and Nikon as well as an excellent range of after market accessories that are top quality and work well with both brands.

This has been a lifesaver for me so many times when I want to see my photos and want to see them now. Yes, the instant age we live in has gotten too me. But in general it just saves me making two trips to the photo store as I just mull around Newmarket while they're getting developed. It's the perfect excuse to have some retail therapy of chill in a café for an hour. The staff sometimes even get them done faster than an hour which is so good. This bodes well for my impatience. I usually just ask if they're going to be done before an hour and they more often than not are. They are amazing and really work to bring you the best they can.

These two places are my go-to's when it comes to day-to-day film developing and printing, partially because I don't know where else in Auckland you can go (aside from PCL, but that's more for professional stuff). Double J feels a bit nicer because it's independent and small businessy, but I like Kodak too. They do one hour developing which is handy. They've also got those machines that you can use to print your own photos which is especially handy when one has to send off their passport application that day and needs passport photos immediately. Easy as pie. Three stars.

The service in this store is the most appalling I have ever received. I ordered a collage of…read morephotos - I was very specific about how I wanted it done and was told that it would not be a problem. on receiving the photo collage it was not as expected, not as ordered and it had taken a week longer than I was told it would take. The owner Craig was not just hopelessly unhelpful but in fact downright rude, He aggressively told me that there was no way they could do what I wanted and that they were far too busy coming up to Xmas and what I wanted was impossible. After leaving the store another customer who had been present during his tirade came to find me, concerned for my welfare and said that she had never seen such disgusting unhelpful behaviour as displayed by the store owner.. A subsequent phone call to the owner resulted in him shouting and abusing me. I have not received any apology or refund for poor/incorrect work. I have paid $281 for a product that I did not order. Worse that the loss of money was the abuse I received from the owner of this store. Customer service/quality of goods - he's clearly never heard of either.............UTTERLY DISGRACEFUL
