I was given Sunset Event Production's contact information by my caterer, Fayolle Gourmet, and couldn't be more thankful for the introduction. Laurent and his team did a site visit and I had to depend on him to let me know what he thought would be best for the unusual space (an airplane hangar that was converted into a boat marina). He did site visits and put everything together. On the day of, we were told that we could not set up the space until 5 pm while our event started at 6 pm. I had a mini panic attack. There was water on the floor. The space was very industrial. Laurent and his team transformed the place so very quickly. They went above and beyond. The lighting was spectacular. I even had someone from the marina ask if they could speak with Laurent to get more info on the up-lights he used. So many of our guests said it was the coolest and most unique venue space they've ever been to and it was only thanks to Sunset Event Production and how they transformed the space. I also was in a bind with music as the wifi was spotty so my Pandora list wasn't working. Laurent had the most perfect playlist available and DJed as well even though he was not asked or paid to. I could not have been happier with his services and Fayolle Gourmet. Both teams just really saved the day.

We first saw the Bay Kings Band perform at a wedding in Nov. 2022, and it was then that we knew we…read morewanted a live band to play at our reception when we got married. When we started wedding planning in 2025, we decided to check out the Bay Kings Band at one of their showcases. Billy, the producer, approached us early on in the evening and started getting to know us. After watching them perform that night, we decided to look no further. Billy was our primary point of contact and was incredibly easy to work with. He was quick to respond whenever we reached out and made the planning process easy. He also made a concerted effort to get to know us and our personal music tastes in the months leading up to the wedding. During our final planning call about 2 weeks before the wedding, we went over our must play list, do not play list, and the songs we wanted played during various events (grand entrance, last song, etc.). We'll admit that we presented Billy with several challenges, in that many of our do not plays were songs they probably play all the time at weddings (mostly line dances, Bruno Mars, Single Ladies, etc). We also were not going to have any formal dances, and we had no opinions on what we wanted played during the other events that night. Billy did a great job at talking us through options as well as getting a feel for what our guests might enjoy. On the night of our wedding (4/19/26), Billy and the Bay Kings Band absolutely slayed it. We had so many guests come up to us that night raving about how great the vibes were thanks to the band's energy, set list choices, and each person's talent. The dance floor was packed full the entire night, without a single line dance played. It also helped that they played several numbers from the Shrek and Shrek 2 soundtracks, which we assured Billy previously would go over VERY well with our crowd. They also threw in a few little surprises just for us that made our night all the more special. In addition to being wildly talented, each person from the band we spoke to was incredibly kind and gracious. We absolutely loved each and every member of the band present that night and will be forever grateful for all they did to make our wedding the best night of our lives. Do it. Hire them. You will not regret it. And be sure to include a saxophonist!

We wanted the capture the gathering, but didn't want a photographer to get in the way of our intimate time with family or to make the more shy members feel self-conscious and removed from the moment, nor could we justify thousands of dollars on a conventional wedding package. Vicens gave us a very reasonable price for our ceremony, and more significantly, did an absolutely wonderful job. His documentary-style photographs were excellent, and I was amazed by how many moments and views he managed to capture perfectly in the course of a brief ceremony. Moreover, he was a delight to work with. He made himself invisible much of the time during the actual ceremony, but was such a warm and positive presence throughout the setup and execution of our little DIY event that he felt like part of the wedding party. His photos are so unique and artistic which caught our eyes. After extensive research, we still couldn't shake off the feeling that Vicens was the perfect photographer for us. Thus, we were ecstatic we were able to book Vicens for our wedding at Nestldown. (Tip: Book him early because he's that good!) We then had our phone consultation with Shannon who was very patient with our long list of questions and put our jitters at ease. Then came to our wedding day, Vicens was absolutely great to work with. He made sure we were comfortable - it's like we have known him forever even though we had just met him that morning. His bubbly personality and infectious smile was contagious to those around him which made our day even more special. It's extremely pleasurable to see the amount of passion that Vicens has behind his camera. He's happy every second to capture our love story and tells it so well especially through our wedding book that he made for us which was custom ordered from Italy. The high quality and layout of our wedding book is the perfect way for us to look back on our special day.
