Went to business to inquire about digitizing 45 photos for my mother's funeral and putting together a slide show of photos. $275. to scan and digitize photos and $350. to put together a slide show. This actually made me sad.. They kept on offering "discounts" which did not lower price significantly. I don't care if they say, "they are a small business." Please don't take advantage of folks. Have a heart and be reasonable. Folks go to Staples in Medford for less than 1/3 the cost and find a tech savvy person to assist you for the slide show. read more

We went to photo creations to get our TSA pre-check done. While there, they informed us that we needed the TSA pre-check card which they charge $20 for. Come to find out TSA pre-check does not require a card with your pre-check ID number. However, photo creations tell you that you need it just to get $20 out of you. Lady at the front desk had very rude mannerisms towards me. no eye contact. i tried to show her the code on my phone and she avoided looking. almost didn't do my fingerprints because my birth certificate was not in perfect condition. seemed like she hated her job and saw me as inferior. Owner tells me that this card is necessary to prevent repeated login to the TSA Pre-check web site every time you travel. And that his card "is approved" by TSA. Went for a TSA Precheck appointment. Service was almost laughably bad: discourteous, slow, abrupt employees barking slurred orders. Charged an extra $20 for their proprietary card without asking. I went here for fingerprinting and the man in charge asked me out loud in front of complete strangers personal information which made me feel very awkward and embarrased, I drew the line when he asked me to state my Social Security number out loud. I told him I would not say it out loud in front of strangers but that I would type it in and that I wanted to speak to him privately. He said he would give me a discount because I needed several copies, when we spoke privately I explained how he made feel awkward and embarrased by prying personal information out of me in front of strangers, who were also seen to feel awkward and even holding back laughing.... the man stated this was because he wanted me to get the discount and did not receive the message that his conduct was unprofessional and even went on to say that illegal immigrants come here for fingerprints and he makes them state that in front of everyone. I told him this is another example of personal information he should not be asking in front of other strangers and he told me I was taking it personal. I said OK were done here and went to pay for the fingerprints, he then took away the discount and would not put it back in place until I told him where I was taking the documents because he knew I would leave him a negative referral review, after I would not disclose more personal information the man told me I could go elsewhere. I went to the Jackson County Sherrifs office for fingerprints and it was $30 cheaper than the "discount" rate and $80 cheaper than the non-discount rate. Bottom line they are unprofessional here and provide extremely poor customer service. When I delivered my documents I reported my experience and the company said they would not refer business here anymore. read more

Only went in for a passport photo. It was nice to be able to see the photo on their camera and take another if I wanted to. However, the lighting was a bit funky as there is a large shadow around one of my eyes. I didn't notice it on the camera, but it shows up clearly on the printout. I called up and asked "do you guys do fingerprints" the person on the other end said, "not only do guys do fingerprinting but girls, gays, transgenders and others do fingerprints too." I then said, "when I said "guy" I was referring to the editorial and I don't care who does the fingerprinting." I then asked when I could come in to get a fingerprint card. I was told to come in the following day after 11:00am. The customer service person also said they would text me over a form to fill out. 9 hours ago The only reason I gave 2 stars is because my pictures turned out nice, the employee Laura was kind and professional, and we recieved some bonus pictures. We had a family shoot. There are 7 of us with babies so the photographer, Masao, had his work cut out for him. He did great and got some good shots. He said our pictures would be edited in a few days. When we didn't hear anything in over a week we called. Laura said she would have them edited by the next day. She did and we came in for a consultation. She was very professional and kind. We picked out our pictures and also brought a different disc of pictures to print with it. He had to make a copy of the disk because it was scratched. He said that's normally something he charged for and pretty much asked for a good review for it. He was very arrogant and pushy. He said they would be ready in a few days. Again we didn't hear anything for a week. We called and they said they'd be printed in a few days. When we went to pick them up only half of our pictures were ready. He blamed a miscommunication. At this point we were very frustrated. It's ok to be behind or late but let customers know and don't leave them hanging over and over with no phone call. He ended up printing more pictures than we asked for for the same price, which was appreciated. Then we realized we never recieved our digital copy. On our flyer it said it was included with the Gold package. We wanted to email some to family. He said he needed to see the flyer to honor it. I had thrown it away the day before. I assured him I was telling the truth and he said it would be $99 to put them onto a disc. I told him that I had to dig through my outside trash and find it. Which I did. He honored it. 5 photos on a disc. Said he'd put the rest on for $50. No way. With all the hassle it should have been free. He is a good photographer but should leave the customer service to someone else. Never will I ever go there again. I don't recommend it to anyone else, it's not worth the hassle. Very unprofessional. A year ago we had our wedding pictures done by someone else. 78 pictures and we got ALL of them on a disc at no additional charge. Seems like a no brainer as a business. read more

When my mother passed away unexpectedly. We were completely traumatized and we needed to get the memorial service ready. I called photo creations and when I talked to Maseo, he was so genuinely warm and comforting. He suggested photo blow ups on canvas and we made a slide show from my family photos. He spent so much more time on it than he charged for. it was inspired and then he volunteered to come to the service and make sure the media equipment worked. ***WARNING: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY*** The owner is a compulsive liar and should not be trusted with anybody's property nor should he be handed money for any 'service' he claims he will provide. This was the worst experience I have ever had and I implore anybody and everybody to avoid dealing with this company, especially if you have any photos that are dear to you. I was in Medford for Thanksgiving week and I wanted 2 roles of B&W photos developed before Saturday. The owner, Maseo, assured me repeatedly he would have the photos developed by Wednesday. He charged me a high rate but the place looked professional and I had his word on the time frame so I paid the fee. I had heard nothing by Wednesday so I phoned to check the status. I had to call numerous times as I was constantly told they need to ask the owner who was either busy or just left. Eventually an employee located my rolls in a sealed package as it had not left for the lab. I was told it takes 2 weeks to develop the photos, this being the first time it was ever mentioned. They were quickly losing my trust so I went to the store to find out if I could get it sorted out. I arrived and Maseo instantly launched into a bumbling list of excuses and lies. He was constantly switching between blaming the weather and explaining how complicated and long the process is. He said it was impossible to do a refund because the photos are currently sitting in a bath of chemicals since Monday in a lab somewhere. He said the guy developing the photos had to leave due to extreme weather and cannot return for a few days. Maseo did not realise that I am extremely familiar with photo developing and have developed my own photography countless times. When I explained that it is a far quicker process than what he is saying and that the notion of photographs sitting in a bath of chemicals for days is absurd and entirely false, he instantly stopped jabbering his excuses and began backtracking. There was a snow storm forecasted to hit Medford but as it transpired, all we experienced was some strong winds Tuesday night, with some reports of fallen trees. In any case, if he had promised me the photos by Wednesday, why would some strong winds on Tuesday night prevent my photos from being developed? I was so dumbfounded that he was lying to my face that I actually forgot to tell him that his employee had told me a half hour earlier on the phone that he could see the package containing my film in front of him in the store. And here is Maseo telling me they are sitting in chemicals so no refund or returns can happen, it isn't anybody's fault and the process is half way done so he 'may or may not' have them back before I leave Medford. I left very frustrated and concerned about the photos. I received a text on Friday evening stating that since I "want to develop the photos myself", he will return the film rolls and give me a refund on Saturday. Despite him making up the part where I said I wanted to develop them myself, I was fine with this. I went in on Saturday and an employee said Maseo had left earlier and had no idea about any refund or any photos. He gave me the refund and searched for a bit and found the film package exactly how I had left it: in an unopened, sealed bag with my name on it. To confirm all his lies, the film canisters themselves were completely untouched and sealed, confirming that the film never made it out of the bag, more than likely never left the store, and certainly never made it to the chemicals he had said they were sitting in 3 days prior. This man, Maseo, reeled me into his false promise and gained my trust, charged me a considerable fee and then held onto my property while he lied numerous times to my face to prevent any refund. It was only when he realized he was talking to somebody who actually knew the process and had no choice but to return my footage that he offered to fix things. I would also like to add that after viewing the online reviews, I have become highly suspicious of fraudulent behaviour on behalf of Photo Creations Studio. Some people have already commented that some of the positive reviews are false and there is even one comment claiming that their account was unlawfully used to write a 5 star review for the company. The numerous negative reviews detail experiences similar to my own, but the company has a habit of blaming old management or denies the reviewer was even a customer. I assure you this place has been managed by the same people for a very long time as Maseo's name appears in reviews dating back years. Attempts to deny myself having ever been a customer or this review as being false shall be instantly refuted. I have financial proof as well as witnesses who accompanied me during the final 2 interactions I had in the store. I would have taken this further but since I do not live in the country it is not worth my time, nor my energy. I hope this prevents someone else going through a similar experience. read more

I recently attempted to have a custom job done by the owner Masao. It was to involve him needing to work up an estimate and get back with me. To make a long story short I had to go into the store several times as he would not return my calls. After finally placing an order with him he said he would send me the receipt via email but never did. So AGAIN I had to go down to the store this time with intent of cancelling my order. He became quite belligerent and refused to give me a full refund since he felt he should be paid for the cropping work he said he did. I asked to see the work he had done but he refused to show it so I again insisted that I should get a full refund. He became even angrier and proceeded to call Mall Security to have me forcefully removed from the Mall. I would recommend that you NOT do business with Masao and Photo Creations. He has no clue as to how to provide proper customer service and is a VERY impatient and angry man. read more

I would give them six stars if I could! I went in to get an international passport photo taken. They took multiple pictures and allowed me to pick the best. They even had input on not smiling for international passport purposes... Something I did not know....true professionals! The prints were done very quickly and I was pleased with the results. A few months later, I called to get re-prints. They had saved the file, Masao personally remembered me, and he generated the perfectly trimmed re-prints within 12 hours! This is perhaps the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I hired photo creations to build my website. Nothing about my website was correct, they had my business name incorrect,the phone number was incorrect, the drop downs that should lead to another page took you to a blank page. I told photo creations I wanted the site down, and apperantly they don't know how because it says to call them. Came here today for last minute passport photos. I called before hand to see if they did passport photos and if I needed an appointment, I spoke with Masao, he was very friendly and answered all my questions. When I arrived Masao greeted us warmly, he was kind and professional. He made sure my elderly mother, whom I brought with me, was comfortable before he took my photos. He took several photos and showed me them before they were printed which was great. Because of my need for rush photos he was able to process them while we waited. Maseo recently did a couple of photo restorations for me. One was of my Dad that was taken right after he had finished Navy Boot Camp in the early 60's and the other was a family portrait taken in the early 80's. Both had pretty extensive water damage and one was even stuck to the glass of the frame it was in. He was able to restore both pictures perfectly, in fact they were better. My Dad had recently passed away so these restorations were very important to me. He treated me and my pictures with care and respect and he even gave me a discount because my Dad had been in the service. I look forward to working with Maseo again. read more

I have never rated a business so low and if it could go into the negatives believe me it would be. The utter lack of professionalism with the owner is astounding. I took 2 VHS tapes and 1 photo in. I was told to sign up for WorkStraight which he uses for project management and I can follow the progress. This was NEVER updated. He talks in circles with multiple excuses and I was grossly over charged which I have disputed. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a business and I work with all types of vendors professionally and am always looking for new talent to use. My biggest mistake? We went to Photo Creations for Christmas Pictures. The photo shoot was not up to the professional standards that we have experienced with other photographers in the past. The scene set ups and pose instructions where amateur at best. We had a gut feeling that the resulting pictures would be subpar. As supporters of local business we wanted to continue with pictures in hopes we would be surprised. Unfortunately there were only a small handful of pictures that where not over exposed. My wife who is an absolute sweetheart was crushed! I then contacted Photo Creations with the complaint and a refund of money. I was told that Photo Creations fulfilled their obligation and that no refund would occur. I even offered to let them keep 50.00 of the money as a good faith gesture with no avail. There is much more to the story but I am only sharing the facts of the matter. Buyer beware! We lost 273 dollars and no quality usable pictures to speak of! read more
