A possible future gimmick for the Mobile Fone Hospital might be to continue the medical theme to dizzying heights with the staff dressed up as doctors and nurses in medical gear performing mock operations on mobile phones and mobile phone accessories. Sadly this probably isn't going to happen soon but I am happy to report that the Mobile Fone Hospital offer a good service in repairing phones, selling second hand phones and phone accessories. There's a lot of similar businesses to this in the Ladypool Road area - this one's a little smarter than most and have always given me good service whenever I've been in. You might be able to get a cheaper price somewhere else but with things like this you want someone you can trust and I trust these guys. Recommended.

Purchased a Microsoft Lumia phone from here in November which packed up after 10 weeks. Upon doing this in Brum' I was told that they no longer repair Microsoft phones and that they had made it clear to staff at the Solihull branch not to send customers with faulty Microsoft phones into them. Half a day + petrol + parking wasted traipsing into Birmingham. Before visiting Birmingham I had bought a replacement phone from Solihull. Upon printing my receipt at home (they refused to give me a receipt for my purchase in store) I found that I should have had a £10 Vodafone sim with it, not that I was given this upon purchasing the phone. I have tried phoning them 3 times but after waiting 6-7 minutes on each occasion the call has either been cut off or I have terminated. Like most people I cannot afford the time to go back and sort this out for the sake of £10. Have your wits about you when you shop there!

It is the place I go to first when I need to buy a ds, playstation2 or wii game and will be going there a few more times before Christmas I can imagine. Had to bring something back once, as I got the wrong game and the staff were really helpful and it was not a problem at all - I was buying the right thing so I was never offered or asked for a refund, so don't know what their policy is on refunds.

The queue to pay is always really long and the staff seem to be a bit slow and disorganised sometimes not knowing where the game is. They do sell a good selection of games for all consoles although they don't seem to stock some older games with it being mostly chart stuff. It's also always full of kids barging in front of you to get to the games. They do part exchanges for games but the deal isn't very good.

I'm not entirely sure if I would come back but you certainly are spoilt for choice when it comes to looking for phone covers. There were one or two covers that I was tempted to purchase but in the end I didn't. If you are a local and are living in Hockley or the Birmingham area, you might want to come here if you are looking for phone accessories.
