Person who was dealing with the transaction couldn't see any scratches so queried with his colleague who insisted there was a couple of minor scratches. Neither members of staff showed us the scratches (as they weren't present) Took the cash as I didn't mind the price for something we don't use but it's the principle. Not putting on here what we was selling as I'm waiting for it to go online as a grade A to prove a point.

That said, the range of phones and accessories they have on display is pretty wide with a good selection of phones on both pay as you go and contract tariffs. Most of the phones are available for most of the telecoms providers so generally speaking you can get what phone you want with the provider you want. The staff are really helpful and will discuss your requirements and help you find what you want. The prices also tend to be a bit cheaper than the telecoms providers themselves which is always a bonus. They often have some really good special offers on too. The carphone warehouse also has deals on with companies like aol for broadband provision which is a fairly decent offer - includes a free laptop or other expensive electrical item.

Got my iPhone 3g unlocked today, they updated it to the latest software and also did a 'jail break'…read moreand now I can get all the apps for free!! I just downloaded TomTom and it's working fine and not cost me a penny. As an added bonus while I was waiting for my phone I noticed they also sell R4 cards for the Nintendo DS, so got a couple for the kids to keep them quiet so I can try all the new apps on my iPhone.
