If ever there was a shop that was aptly named this is it. If you want the perfect glass gift or…read moreideas for decor go here. Travel miles, if you must, but go. It is only a small shop and sells mainly glass, decorations & candles. Offering a wonderful gift wrapping service. For some reason I always go before Christmas, it is like some kind of Masochism. Every year, after vowing not to spend money & to dig out the old decorations from the loft, I go. The ideas that this place have just makes me want to chuck every thing out & start again. Not just at Christmas but Easter & summer as well. It isn't the choice or the volume it is the creativity, the imagination, the flair. The prices are really reasonable & the staff friendly. There is some parking on the road but also signposted car parks.

I always worry that I am going to knock something over because they do stock a lot of glass. We bought some exquisite cocktail glasses here. It is lovely to find a shop where the staff obviously love working there. I am going there next week to check out their Christmas decorations and gifts. If you are on the look out for table decorations try here and you will definitely find inspiration.

A fantastic jewellery shop in the heart of Bournemouth…read more If you love silver you need to look at this place. It has a fantastic range of earings, bracelets and necklaces, rings and toe rings. A lot of the jewellery is made with gems so there's a whole range of colours to choose from. Some are dainty and some are quite exuberant, and all points in between. The prices are very good too, in my opinion. At the back of the shop you start seeing polished stones as items on their own and then there's incense and burners and natural oils and all sorts of 'new age' type items. There are also some really interesting books on sale. The shop is busy, students from overseas find it, au pairs find it, everyone finds it. The service is good.

As soon as you walk in the door the staff are smiling, the aromatic smells hit you and the quiet music soothes you. It's like walking into a small haven of peace and quiet. There's a great range of gifts and if you can't think of what to get someone for Christmas and would like something a bit differnet and perhaps quirky then take a look. Good value too.

The cafe is surprisingly nice considering they'd earn a fortune from the coach parties regardless of their quality. Their cream cakes are wonderful and completely fresh - I particularly recommend the eclairs and millionnaire's shortbread. I believe they're all cooked on site and they have a wonderful pastry chef. This is definitely a place worth stopping off for a cream tea so long as you don't mind the crowds in the height of summer. The car park is free and is the only one around for miles, so it's also a good base to explore the pretty village of Godshill.

They stock a variety of high quality gifts, it is not the sort of shop I would buy from for myself, but ideal for all those people who are impossible to buy for at christmas. They stock china, glass ware, top end soft toys, dunoon mugs etc with a variety of cards and wrapping paper aswell. They are a little overpriced, but it is all sold to you with love and time only available from an independent trader so i guess the price reflects this.
St. Audrey's
My girlfriend and I really enjoyed ourselves in this store. Delving into an ocean of knick knacks,…read morewe loved some of the extremely unique items they have here. From vintage phones to tape dispensers that look like cassette tapes, there is quite a randomness to this place, but that makes it fun to browse. They have these incredible framed pieces that have the shape of a character/object in a book silhouetted, but instead of the silhouette being filled with black it is filled with the book's text. If you're into book posters, they also had over 10 classic novel cover posters which were quite awesome. They even had vintage and novelty thermoses and ice cube trays that formed the shape of boomboxes. They carry a few "Fred" items, which if you know the brand, are extremely fun and I'm always glad to see them in stores. St. Audrey's is a close walk from Henley's town center, so walk on over to Duke Street and have a look around!

The gift toiletries are beautifully packaged, including Isle of Arran's After the Rain range, which I absolutely love. There's Emma Bridgwater crockery (the chunkiness of which I absolutely adore, and which indicates that I am in the type of shop I like, although I've never found an exact design that I would want to buy). There are suitable gifts for the 'older' and sometimes more difficult generation. The shelf of handkerchiefs was prettily arranged; do people still buy these? Birthday and occasion cards are high quality and classy designs, including 3-D cards. The staff smiled and said thank you as we left the shop, which is something to remark upon in this day and age
