This was a fun antique shop to browse! It spans two floors and the ladies working at the front are incredibly friendly. It does get warm on the top floor but significantly cooler downstairs during the summer. I didn't find anything I particularly wanted this time around, but like all antique stores you expect that the assortment will be random

Love this place when on vacation. They always have something. Clean and organized. I like that they have vendors who each have their own area with their own vibe. I found one who obviously has similar taste in vintage. Wish I could get down that way more often.

If you're looking for an antique shop, make sure this is on your list to visit while in Astoria. There are two floors of individual booths that you can walk through which provides a variety of items to browse. Each booth has its own personality that ranges from classic books to fishing equipment to decorative pieces all the way to Japanese kimonos. There are arrows on the ground that guides you through the store - encouraging social distancing.

We love antique malls and antiques. There is a lot to see here and the booths are well curated. The prices are somewhat reasonable depending on the booth's owner. Mostly nice stuff. The owner guy is really friendly and chatty and seems to be well traveled and knows everyone in town. He is a wealth of information. The basement is also filled with items. This area seems to be more experimental and has a good share of up cycled and shabby chic rehabbed antiques. Many people that have booths in the basement have a great eye for style and design. I really enjoyed the basement area. I wished that Astoria had more Antique Malls. When you gather your items, don't forget to have the counter person check the book for the discount. You might get a few dollars knocked off. Have fun!

The other afternoon, my mate and I had the day to kill and the Sunny weather inspired a nice walk about Astoria. It was fun stopping in to some of the little shops that we have only seen from behind closed and locked doors or from the road as we drive by en route to other pressing matters. Many of the places that we strolled into, gave us the sad, but usual coastal customer service treatment of ignoring / half-assed enthusiasm / or annoyance that we dare disturb their lack of working. I am proud to report that none of those places made a penny from us just on principal. Posey-Reed was a totally different story indeed. The wonderful lady that owns the shop was friendly, talkative, personable, intelligent, and really enjoys her business. We spent almost an hour in there just chatting and though we didn't "need" anything at all, we were sure to make a few purchases to be good neighbours and reward a business that cares. She obviously isn't going to retire on our $50 dollar contribution, but at least we know it is going to a good place. Nice and deceptively large selection of collectables, antiques, decor, furniture, vintage clothing, and art work. Many toys, books, and even sheet music await you, ALL at modest prices. She will bargain with you on some of the items as well. For those of you into vintage clothing, I highly recommend checking out her selection that is very well organized, eclectic, and at decent prices. I still had sticker shock from another vintage clothing place in town, but Posey-Reed restored my faith in quality and pricing. Do the community a favour and give some business locally. Posey-Reed is operated the way a business should be....with kindness and amazing customer service. Be sure to tell her that the Irish Cop / Pastor in the cool shirt sent you in.

I am SHOOK to read these other reviews! I absolutely adored my visit to Garbo's…read more OK, yes this place is overstuffed and chaotic. But there are some TREASURES hidden amongst the chaos, and I had a blast digging through. I also found the store owner to be a delight. The whole thing had a "playing in your very cool grandma's attic" vibe and I am HERE! FOR! IT! I was with a friend and he surprised me by purchasing a jacket from this store that I in love with but couldn't really afford. Now I'm living my Brokeback Fringe Fantasy, and it's all think to Garbo's. Yeah the prices seemed kinda high, but when somebody else is buying that's basically the same as free, right??? I could have spent hours here, giggling with my friend while playing dress up. I'd probably end up broke, but that's fashion, baby.

We didn't see any price tags on any of the merchandise we looked through. When my wife came across…read morea garment that she seemed to like, she asked the owner for the price. Well, you could *feel* the owner "looking us both up and down" and concluded that we must be out-of-town visitors with more money than sense. She quoted a price about twice that of the garment when new. When we declined and headed toward the door, she said "I can do better!" Conclusion: interesting place to browse, but save your money and buy elsewhere.
