This sounds dumb, but after living in Austin, Fort Lauderdale, and Memphis, Phoever is the best Asian food I've had. It's the definition of a hole in the wall. You really wouldn't expect the amazing food that it has. The pho is perfect, the bahn mi sandwhich is insane (in a good way), and the pork egg rolls are wild. My husband and I LOVE the place!! All of the staff are very friendly and very kind. Vegetarian friendly options available! I get the Vegetable Pho when I come here and it's always good. I've never had a lunch that made me crave fast food instead.. Until today. I do not treat myself to a nice lunch often while I'm working because I am almost too often too busy. I had an hour today and saw this place and thought, that looks really good. I ordered the C1 which is a dish with rice, chicken, and salad. The salad was exactly, 2 thin half slices of tomato, 2 thin slices of cucumber, carrot shreddings, and 2 leaves of romain. They spread it around the plate to make it look like a lot. It is not a lot but it was the best part of the meal. The chicken and the rice were both very dry. The chicken must have come from frozen or pre-prepared and then frozen. I have not had worse chicken in a restaraunt in a lifetime. The moment I thought about sending it back, I realize I have only seen three people working there and if I complain, the next serving may be less desirable. I was too hungry not to eat and did not have a lot of time left. I finished my meal and left having paid almost $16 for a terrible meal, soda, and a $2 tip. I would have tipped more but I got one refill at the end of my meal and the food was not good. The chicken at the mall cost half as much and you get twice as much food and it taste better. That's the sentiment I left with. I wish I had not wasted my one nice lunch out in two months on this place. read more

This place is very over priced and stingy about mushrooms, of all things. I have ordered the vegetable pho here several times and they give you next to no mushrooms and put a ton of bokchoy. The second time I ordered I asked for less bokchoy and more mushrooms and was told that I was going to be charged $2 so I said never mind. They were nice enough to make it with extra mushrooms without charging me anyway but even with "extra" it was the amount you would normally expect in a vegetable pho. This last time I ordered I asked if I could substitute the bokchoy for mushrooms and was told yes. When I got my food home, the photo is what it looked like. There were about 10 slivers of mushroom for an entire XL soup and nearly a head of broccoli. The soup was $13.30 with a $1 to go fee so with tip I paid $15 for what was essentially broth with noodles and broccoli. I understand that mushrooms cost more than broccoli or bokchoy but when you are paying $13 for a darn vegetable soup it shouldn't be to much to ask for them to put a reasonable amount of mushrooms. Im giving them 2 stars instead of 1 because most of the staff was friendly and the broth was pretty good. read more

I really love this place! It's a must try if you're in the area! The staff are really friendly and are great with recommendations if you're new to trying pho. I've never had it before and now I love it. The egg and spring rolls are delicious as well! You can tell everything is made from scratch and with fresh ingredients too. I love the fresh basil that they give you along with the bean sprouts and lime. Be warned, the sizes are huge! I might be a skinny little thing, but I can eat a lot. I couldn't even finish the extra large. I went back for the large and was still defeated. If you over order like me, the pho is excellent for leftovers! This food is amazing! My boyfriend and I frequently visit here and there isn't a bad thing on the menu! One of my favorites is the brisket with a strawberry smoothie. Their meals range from small to extra large which is perfect for me as I usually eat very little and my boyfriend orders two meals when we go out. Prices are great, you defiantly get your money's worth. Even getting take out is fantastic! They separate your noodles and meat from the liquid and you even get a little bag full of bean sprouts, jalapeños, hot sauce, lime, and a few other goodies.
