From day one we have been treated with nothing but professionalism, compassion, and kindness. A few months ago my dog had to have surgery on his ear due to a hematoma. It was a rough recovery, as he was previously a stray and in a shelter, he has some reactivity issues. It was very difficult for me to care for him alone during the month after surgery. The staff at the Phoenix and Laveen clinics both were so accommodating. They would let me swing by and help me change his head wrap every several days. They were so patient. When he developed an abcess after the surgery, they spent hours with me and my dog to get him sedated and cared for. It was a very rough time trying to drain the abcess, because my dog fought hard through the sedation. Dr. Velasquez and the techs Dana and Bettina were so good with him through a really grueling ordeal, having to restrain him to drain the abcess. Dana and Dr. Velasquez both took extra time caring for my needs, too. I can't thank them enough for the competent, compassionate care they showed. I highly recommend them! read more

She was taken in right away everyone from the (receptionist) the entire staff and Dr. were so helpful, so caring ,concerned, kind, loving and compassionate with my fur baby. They all came in and gave me a hug. After I had to make a very difficult decision of having to let go of my baby. they allowed me to take my time with her and say my goodbyes. They took care of her with such care and love and help me with the process of getting her cremated, , when I got her back in less than two weeks. I 1000% recommend this office to anyone. read more

Dr. Ware and other Dr's in both the Laveen and Phoenix Vet Centers have taken care of all my fur babies. Just recently I had an emergency with my 14 year old Pug, Gertie and I waited 6 hours at an emergency vet hospital, and left when they said it would be another 2 hours wait, and I left. My girl had quite a few health issues so we became quite the regulars. Dr. Baldwin is one of the most caring and knowledgable veterinarians I have ever experienced and I have been going to vets for various dogs I owned for the past 30 years. I want to say thank you to all the staff for the kind, caring and courteous service I received at the passing of my beloved little ShiTuz last week. I didn't have to do anything at the time, they made all the arrangements for his cremation and made the parting bearable and let me spend as much time as I needed to let go. When I picked up his ashes today, the staff again let me cry in their shoulder and provided hugs of caring and comfort. I was so touched at the thoughtful way my little boys remains were taken care of. I was given an imprint of his paw print, a lock of hair and a nice wooden box that contained the ashes. Not too happy. I had my dog examined in June for her breath. The doc said she needed blood work in-order to to get her teeth cleaned. I came in the next day and got my dogs blood taken. They said the results would take about a week. No call after a week. No call after 2. I called to get the results and the tech said the doc needed to call me back. Never called back! LOVE Phoenix Veterinary Center! They are very caring and loving towards our little Ellie. Dr. Baldwin and Dr. Ware are wonderful! As well as all the staff too. It's a small office, you can hear everything, I always hear them talking kindly and gently to the animals in the treatment area. I hear them talking to other owners, explaining treatments and procedures. Always being friendly and respectful. They really care- they do follow up phone calls and emails, show concern when Ellie isn't feeling well, and even squeezed us in just before closing on a busy Saturday. They go above and beyond and we appreciate them very much. Ellie's has been in for routine vaccines, upset tummy, itchy allergies, and a dental with an extraction. And every time we are there, the entire staff are absolutely wonderful. read more

My severely anxious dog has been turned away so many times from so many area groomers including another veterinary office for nail clipping. This visit was not like all the other attempts. Well today was definitely one of the most traumatic days of my life. I had to take my cat mittens to the vet. She was suffering from something so long story short...I had her euthanized. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done. I held her as they did the injection and she took her last little kitty breath. Dr Baldwin and Tara were so amazing. Neither pressured me to do somethin unnecessary and I really appreciated that. They gave me options let me call and talk it over with my family and took it from there. They were very calm and gentile with both me and the cat. Treated us great and in this horrible turn of events I can't thank them enough for what they did for me today. The nurse that called said the vet would be returning my call they never got back with me . I don't recommend and would never ever take her again. We recently took our 8 week old puppy to Phoenix Vet Center for his first appointment. The staff was incredibly warm, patient, and in no rush at all. They answered all of our questions and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Our puppy had an excellent first vet experience with Dr. Baldwin (and vet tech Tara!) and seemed a bit sad to be leaving at the end of the appointment. Brought our dogs in for initial visit (we just moved to Phx) and the vet tech (Rachael) and Dr. Baldwin were very nice and gentle with our girls. The office was nice with multiple exam rooms and the location was good for us (South Mountain area) and easy to find. I was glad we picked this vet! A week or so later one of our dogs became very ill with GI distress. I called right at 8:00 am on a Monday and they answered! (That would never happen for a people-doctor's office.) They told me to bring her right in. They took wonderful care of our dog, I could tell she was very comfortable with them, even though they had to do a lot of poking at her. We took our dog home later in the day and the vet tech (Tara is awesome!!) answered my panicked questions when our dog looked like she might be getting sick again and I called shortly before closing. Then Dr. Baldwin and Tara called me at the end of their day to check in on our dog to make sure all was well and then called again the next day. Their attentiveness is amazing - haven't had this level of service from a people-doctor in 30 years and never from a vet! Highly recommend! read more
