She explained the entire process thoroughly and was just great to talk to. In the end I think we were in the studio for about an hour and a half or two hours. You are allowed to bring your own food and drinks but i would recommend sticking to just the drinks unless you want to eat clay or have crumbs on your vase. It was such a casual and fun low pressure experience that it made us want to become members so that we could come and create whenever we want. I will say that there is a giant dog in the studio and a cat that just wander around unleashed so if that bothers you maybe mention something before you get there or don't buy a ticket. ($100 per couple) The vases were ready for pickup in about a month so plan accordingly if you are doing this as an out of towner or are planning to move within the month after doing this. Went here for two years getting my Associates of Business in Culinary Arts, I loved the program and…read morethe kitchens are top notch and even better than a lot of the restaurant's here in Cincinnati. : In terms of the credit hour rate it is one of the lowest for Culinary Schools, I had friends attend the Culinary Institute of America and after two years they had spent over 100,000 just for tutiton, room and board and fees. After two years at MCI I spent around 8 thousand dollars and trained under Certified Master Chefs. :Since this is a community college, there is no school pride which is sad to see, a lot of students when asked about our basketball team didn't even know where the gym was. : Things to check out if you go there currently for lunch I suggest Bakery Hill on the 2nd floor of ATLC, everything is made there fresh everyday and the counter people are pastry students that really care about you, compared to the Overlook where the food is bland and way overpriced and greasy and the workers don't want to help you. : Also check out the Summit, it is an acting restaurant run by Chef Sean Kagy and his all student work staff in the kitchen and Donna and her all student wait staff. I would suggest going on Friday nights as they have had three courses plus wine pairings for around thirty dollars a person.

Slightly pricey but fair enough, I was excited to order a mini plank for Christmas. The pick up process is non-existent... I privately messaged the Facebook page to learn the process. AR could definitely upgrade this experience by including pick up instructions in the confirmation email. I was given a list of times I could pick up my order. Waited a few days and headed into the shop... nothing was prepared. I had a very small slice of time to pick up my order and unfortunately it took far too long. I would very highly recommend you call ahead to confirm to your order is in fact ready. Sadly, I was hoping for some cute gift packaging... maybe some tissue paper or literally anything besides just the wood and paints. My piece of plank wood does not sit flat and the handles were different than pictured. Overall, an extremely "meh" experience but the ladies who work there are super nice and that's important.

Personalized signs to decorate your house, pillows, yard signs, etc. Think of all the cutest stuff at Home Goods but with your personal touch. Visit their website to pick a workshop to attend. Each workshop has a selection of projects for you to choose from. You enter your name, year, or whatever personal info they need to set up your project. When you arrive all of your supplies and your stencil is waiting for you. You spend the next couple hours working on your creation with the guidance of the owner or other employees, and at the end you have an awesome new piece of art to take home. I am not at all creative but they make it fool proof! The owner Katie and her mom were running the show the afternoon I attended my first workshop. I was nervous to mess something up, but between them and my friend who had attended a previous workshop I was able to create a personalized sign that will go perfect in my living or dining room. (It definitely helped that I was with someone who knew what they were doing. My only critique is that there were times I had to wait for direction or wasn't super clear what I was doing. If you're more patient than me and not afraid to ask questions though, it's really not an issue.) I can't wait to come back and create something for my daughter's room or gifts for my mom and sister. Everything is so cute and I want to do all the projects! I'll be back! Oh yeah, and it's BYOB. :) My friend and I split of bottle of cider as we worked. Seriously, perfect Saturday!

When we asked what we were supposed to do, we were told to watch YouTube videos--which I could have done at home. Additionally, I was overcharged by nearly $3,000, which was added to my student loan without my knowledge. I only found out about this once I was sent to collections. The collection company, Peach Tree, was unhelpful, and despite multiple requests for a breakdown of the charges, it took over four months to receive a document that looked fake and made up. In my opinion, the administration at this school is dishonest and unprofessional. I would give this school zero stars and do not recommend it to anyone. The only positives from my time here were meeting some great classmates, having an excellent teacher (who is no longer there), and earning my EPA license--everything else was a disappointment.

I had the opportunity to volunteer with Redwood with my coworkers. We worked with the adults with…read moredisabilities. They have activities and workshops - including jobs provided by the community- they can work to earn a paycheck. I loved that it seemed like its own little community. Everyone in the program knew each other, and they had a lot of fun. The disabilities ranged from minor to more severe, but everyone worked together and looked out for each other. I don't think I stopped smiling the entire time I was there. We didn't work with the kids, but they actually have a daycare, for children both with and without disabilities. There didn't seem to be a lot of kids there, which I liked, because all the kids seemed to be getting attention. I have to add that the building is very deceptive. It looks kind of small on the outside but it's actually huge once you get inside, with multiple floors. I really like the idea behind this establishment and I wish there were more facilities like it. If you are looking for a place to volunteer, or know someone with a disability who would like some independence, this would be a great place to start!
